It was a Hogsmeade weekend. Ginny walked slowly into the Three Broomsticks. She was hoping not to see Harry there. She had more important things to do and he would just get in the way of her plans. Ginny stepped into the pub and slowly shook her hair from the cloak that had been covering her head. Ginny's warm brown eyes scanned the pub, looking for her date. There, sitting at a table in the darkest corner of the room sat Draco Malfoy. Ginny smiled inwardly and made her way over to his table. Draco's hair had finally darkened after he had stopped bleaching such a shockingly blonde color. It was a dirty blonde color now and he wore all black, which always seemed to match his moods. Draco's broad shoulders were hunched over a piece of parchment he was reading. Ginny noticed that his lips were moving as he read. Either Draco was concentrating really hard or he had suddenly gotten dumber. Ginny decided she didn't care anyway and sat down in the booth across from him.

Draco looked up from his paperwork and smiled briefly. "Virginia." He leaned over and briefly pecked her on the cheek.

"Morning Draco. How are you?" Ginny leaned in and smelled his expensive cologne.

"The same. Father continues to rot in Azkaban and Mother continues to drink herself into a stupor every night. I can't even move out to my own flat because I'm worried what would happen if I wasn't there to take care of her." Draco stated the facts flatly and put the parchment into a leather attache case that sat at his side.

Ginny didn't argue with Draco about his father. Personally, she knew Lucius deserved to be there. Lucius was a sore subject with Draco. She had long ago learned not to argue with him about his father. "Harry's teaching at Hogwarts." Ginny looked away from Draco and watched the door. They never conversed this long before retiring to a room above the pub. She was worried someone would see them. She was not ashamed to be having sex with Draco, but she didn't need the added stress of people judging her. Ginny knew she didn't love Draco and Draco didn't love her, but they needed someone.

"Is he now?" Draco quirked an eyebrow and took a long sip of his firewhiskey. Draco stood up and reached into his pocket. He threw a few galleons onto the table and pulled on his cloak. He held his hand out to Ginny and helped her stand up. "C'mon. I've already got us a room."

Ginny struggled with her cloak. Draco helped her pull it on. He walked away from her and started up the stairs, by himself. A few minutes later Ginny followed after him. She walked down the long, dark hallway looking for Draco's old Slytherin school tie. He left it hanging on a doorknob so she would know which room he was in. Ginny finally spied it hanging off a doorknob at the end of the hallway. Ginny took quick strides to the door and pulled open the door. Draco sat on the bed, unbuttoning his black dress shirt. Ginny closed the door and walked over to Draco. "Let me help you," she whispered into his ear. Draco nodded and patiently put his hands on either side of him on the bed. After she finished taking off his shirt, Ginny pushed him onto the bed and began kissing him. Thus began Draco and Ginny's weekly ritual of meeting up for meaningless sex.

An hour later, Ginny lay next to Draco in the bed. Draco was lazily smoking a cigarette, blowing smoke rings at the ceiling. Ginny turned on her side and faced him. She pushed a lock of her hair away from her face and looked at Draco. "Those will kill you."

Draco ignored her and continued to smoke. "Potter's back in your life, huh?"

"No, not back in my life. Just back at Hogwarts. We're not back together." Ginny said defensively.

"You deserve better you know. He humiliated you when he fucked Cho before your engagement party." Draco was being purposefully hurtful and Ginny couldn't understand why.

"Why are you deliberately trying to argue with me, Draco? I thought we agreed no emotional attachments. Are you jealous of Harry?" Ginny sat up and leaned against the pillows, holding the sheets against herself.

Draco laughed bitterly. "Jealous? No. I don't love you and you don't love me. You just shouldn't have to put up with his shit. I thought you were over being someone's whipping boy."

"I'm no one's whipping boy, least of all YOU, Draco. I told you that information as a piece of interest. I wasn't asking your permission to date Harry again. Sheesh!" Ginny snatched the cigarette and ground it out in the ashtray next to her. "And stop smoking! It's a disgusting habit."

Draco laughed and reached over to his bedside table and grabbed a new cigarette. He lit it and turned over to look at Ginny. The cigarette hung limply from his lip. "Does he know you've been fucking me?"

"Yes Draco. As soon as I saw him I told him how you've been fucking me senseless once a week. I don't care if everyone despises me for it. I just wanted to hurt Harry." Ginny was silent for a minute. "Seriously Draco, why would I tell him that?"

Draco sighed and spoke to Ginny like she was a child. "To hurt his feelings. To make him feel like less of a man."

"Draco, that would mean he means enough to me for me to want to hurt him. I'm not up for that emotional rollercoaster again. I admit I did get a certain thrill knowing I was shagging you while he was asking me to be friends with him again." Ginny looked at Draco and smiled.

"I knew it! There is a bit of the bitch in you yet! I have been a good influence on you." Draco smiled back at her and kissed her cheek. "I have seen him around a couple of times as well. There was this incredible feeling knowing I was shagging his precious Ginny when he couldn't." Draco stood up and began to get dressed. "Everyone here hates me. I get a certain pleasure from knowing I have you moanng my name once a week when people give me the evil eye or spit at me. That's what makes my day."

Ginny sat up suddenly from the bed. "People spit at you? That's terrible." She suddenly felt awful for all that Draco had to go through everyday.

Draco looked at Ginny quizzically. "I don't want your pity, Virginia. Just your body." Draco pulled on his undershirt and began to button up his black dress shirt.

"I know Draco, I know. We're both here for the sex and the sense of satisfaction we feel from fucking each other and rebelling against our upbringings. But sometimes I can't help but feel sorry for the things that happen to you." Ginny sighed and stood up, searching for her dress.

Draco crossed the room and was suddenly in front of her, gripping her upper arms quite tightly. "Don't ever feel sorry for me, Virginia. Everything I've ever done or that has happened to me has been deserved. I don't need anyone's pity." His gray eyes were hard as flint as he said this. Ginny nodded at his words and felt relieved when Draco released her. Draco must have noticed her expression because he rubbed her arms and looked apologetic. He didn't apologize, but Ginny was used to his temper. It didn't matter if he was angry with her or not, really. Neither felt more than a lust and sense of kinship (due to Harry) for each other. If Draco told her he was getting married tomorrow, Ginny would kiss his cheek and wish him the best. Ginny had long ago decided sex without love was much less complicated and was happy to find someone else who agreed.

Draco pulled away from her and finished dressing. When he was finished he fished an invisibility cloak from his attaché case and pulled it on. Ginny could only see his head. Draco's head bobbed over to her and Ginny felt strong arms embrace her. "See you next Saturday?" he asked.

"Of course." Draco kissed the top of her head and breathed in her essence. She smelled of vanilla and a musky scent unique to Ginny. Ginny pushed away from Draco's chest. "Go away, I'm disgusted by you." Ginny's voice was filled with mirth. Draco laughed and pulled the cloak over his head and left the room. Ginny sighed and continued to pull her clothes on. Two years ago she would never had dreamed to even speak to Draco unless it was to insult him. Now she knew how it felt to hate Harry. She felt a kinship to him, but hardly liked him. He was handsomer than Harry, but was spoiled and prejudiced. Ginny had hardly believed when Draco hit on her at a Hogwarts Christmas party last year. She knew he shagged her partly to get back at Harry. He was also attracted to her and Ginny didn't mind this. Draco could use her as much as he wanted because she was using him. The first time they had sex, Ginny had cried afterward, feeling guilty for betraying Harry with his enemy. Draco had patiently explained that she wasn't betraying Harry since they were broken up and Harry had cheated on Ginny with Cho. Draco had made Ginny feel better and she was grateful to him for that. No matter what happened, Ginny would always be thankful for that.
