On Halloween in first year.
...she again wrote in her diary.
Dear Diary,
One touch of his hand
Now I can't wait to see that boy again,
He smiled and I thought my heart could fly,
Diary do you think that we'll be more then friends?
I've got a feeling we'll be so much more then friends.
"One day," Hermione whispered, closing her diary and putting it away. "One day, we will."

Halloween in fifth year -Present day.
"Ron, can you pass the pumpkin juice?" Hermione asked politely.
"Saw, 'Mione. 'Ere ya go," Ron said through a mouthful of pumkin pie.
"Thanks," Hermione said, pouring herself some. "Is it true you're breaking up with Cho for Ginny, Harry?"
"Yeah," Harry replied. "I'm getting sick and tied of her talking about nothing but Cedric bloody Diggory. It's as if she sees me as nothing but a replacement of him."
"I got a letter from Viktor the other day," Hermione said, "I'm starting to regret not going to see him in Bulgaria over the summer."
Harry and Ron stared at her, their expressions mixed with shock and questioning, especially Ron's.
"'Cause if I did, he might have stopped asking me if our 'relationship' could go any further and stop telling me he's never felt this way about any other girl, and that he loves me," Hermione continued in a matter-of-factly tone. "We're just friends for God's sake, I don't love him. I'm not even sure I like him any more then a friend who lives in Bulgaria, over two thousand kilometres away."
Ron's expression relaxed. "Heard from Fleur lately, Harry?" he asked. Hermione mentally scowled.
"Yes. About a month ago," Harry replied, his expression also relaxing. "She got a teacher's job here at Hogwarts and is starting next year. I'm not sure what position though."
"That might improve her English," Hermione said. "Though, her English is quite good anyway."
"Yeah."
"I want to talk to you later, Hermione," Ron said rather nervously. "In private."
'Since when has Ron wanted to talk to me privately?' Hermione mentally asked herself, before noticing Harry was trying to hide a smile. "What?" she asked him.
"Oh believe me, he needs to talk to you," he answered. "He's been driving me mad about it!"
"Er...anyway, I have to go back to Gryffindor Tower. I have an Arithmancy project to start," Hermione announced, standing up. "See you -"
"Wait! I'll come with you," Ron interrupted loudly.
"Yeah," Harry said, giving Ron a quick wink, which Hermione saw and frowned at. "I've got to meet Ginny in the the Astronomy Tower in fifteen minutes anyway, and you guys have to talk, so I'll see you later."
Hermione nodded and said, "See you later, then," before heading out of the Great Hall, Ron not far behind her.
When they reached and entered Gryffindor Tower after giving the password they found it unusually empty, but Hermione just walked straight over to her usual table where all her books and accessories were and started reading a thick, purple covered book with the simple title of Advanced Arithmancy. This annoyed Ron, who took the seat next to her.
"Hermione, is work all you live for?" he sighed. Hermione glared at him, before continuing to read. Ron got up and sat down on a couch close by to be more comfortable. "Put the book down and come sit here, Herm, I want to talk to you."
Hermione sighed, but obeyed and sat down next to him.
"Answer my question," Ron ordered. "Is school all you live for?"
"No. I live for other things," Hermione said rather hastily, "but I'm not sure if I'll ever get one of those other things."
"And what is that 'other thing'?"
"Ron, if this is what you wanted to talk to me about, it didn't have to be private," Hermione said roughly. Ron moved closer to her and for some very odd reason, her heart pace quickened. "What are you do-" she began, but Ron interrupted by giving her a quick, soft kiss on the lips. Hermione sat, stunned.
"Hermione?" Ron said uncertainly, looking at the bewildered look on her face, unable to see if she had enjoyed it or not. Hermione looked at him and stood.
"I'll be back in a sec, I've just got to get something," she announced, before bolting up to her dormitory and returning about three minutes later with a rather thin dark-coloured book in her hand.
"This is my diary from first year," she told him, flipping through the pages, trying t find a particular page.
When she found the page, she handed the diary to Ron, who read it silently.
Dear Diary,
One touch of his hand
Now I can't wait to see that boy again,
He smiled and I thought my heart could fly,
Diary do you thing that we'll be more then friends?
I've got a feeling we'll be so much more then friends.
"So?" Ron said when he finished.
"So," Hermione said in an excited manner, "I wrote that about my feelings for you then, my feelings for you now are at least ten times stronger. I love you, Ron."
Ron smiled and gathered her into his arms. "I love you too, Herm, and in conclusion to you diary entry, on this day, we will...be more then friends I mean," he said before kissing her passionately. She responded quickly, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him back, just as passionately as he was kissing her.
The End!

A/N. Crap, I know, but it's better then it was originally! I wrote about ten versions of it and this was the best one believe it or not!
Everyone's very out of character, and I am very sorry for that!
Thanks to everyone who reviewed the predecessor of this fic, Dear Diary, I was very surprised that most of you liked it! I'd also like to thank Kay Elle Hunter, who beta reads for my sister Peridot and me. She didn't beta read this fic though, 'cause she's got pneumonia. Get Well Soon, Kay Elle!
Despite the crappiness of this fic, I hope you enjoyed. Please Review!
Cheers,
~Trident.
