Hermione had dedicated her life to her job. She didn't marry anyone, have any kids, or even keep in contact with her family. She was getting dressed up for her meeting. They said it was an important meeting, probably one of the most important in her career. She had never felt more nervous in her life. She was one of their best undercover Aurors. She didn't know any other aurors out side of her team. She knew there were many different teams, but she wasn't allowed to know them for safety precautions. She is also not allowed to talk about anything outside of the ministry. She had dedicated her life to her job. She didn't marry anyone, have any kids, or even keep in contact with her family. Before she apparated, she took in a deep breath and let out. She did this three times. Usually, this helped her relax. Too bad it didn't help her relax when she found out what she had to do.

Draco was getting in his best cloak. He did his hair in the best business-like way he knew how. Today was supposed to be the most important business meeting of his career. He was one of their best undercover Aurors. He didn't know any other aurors out of his team. There were many teams, he knew, but he's not allowed to know them for everyone's safety. He's also not allowed to discuss anything outside of the Ministry. He dedicated his life to his job. He didn't marry, have children, or keep in touch with any of his family members. He didn't have time to do much of anything but his job. He made sure he had everything and Apparated to his office.

Hermione was walking down to her meeting room at a brisk pace. She though that this was a really important assignment, bust she couldn't get herself to relax. She finally reached the correct door, took in three deep breaths, and turned the knob. When she entered the room, she went white.
***
Draco was walking along the hallways, just calmly humming to himself. He waved to some of his team members he had seen along the way and they could only give him a nervous smile. He went to the meeting room he was supposed to go to. He opened the door, went to his assigned seat, and sat down. He looked around the room and began talking to someone beside him. A few minutes later, the door opened, and there stood the person he wished he could've forgotten. Draco turned white.
***
Hermione was speechless. She hadn't seen Draco for almost ten years. The room went quiet. She couldn't believe that, of all people, he would be there. She didn't want to be there. She wanted to turn around and walk out the door, but then she remembered. She had dedicated her life to her job; which included that no matter what job it would be, she would do it. She sat down in her seat, closed her eyes, and tried to relax. She was scared to think about why Draco was there. She checked her watch. One minute before the meeting starts. She tried to collect herself in the last minute she had. Her heart stopped when she heard the words, "Let's begin."
***
Draco couldn't believe his eyes. It had to be Hermione, of all people. He was starting to get a headache already. He was about to get the biggest headache of his life.
***
"Let's begin. We have a lot to cover in this meeting," said a middle-aged man who was the assistant of the head person of the undercover Aurors in the Ministry. "Today is an important day for you two. First, we'll start off why you both are here, and I will not tolerate any interruptions what so ever. You are both here because you two are the best undercover Aurors we have. We believe that we have another You-Know-Who on our hands." The man sighed and took a deep breath. "That's where you two come in. We need you guys to be his most trusted followers. We don't want anything to happen like a long time ago. There is one catch, and this you guys need to prepare yourselves for and I ask you guys not to say anything at all please." The man paused. He hated doing stuff like this, but he had to. He waited a couple minutes then said, "The only way for you guys to do this-" he stopped. He didn't know if he could do this. He finally said, "is to get married."
Hermione's face turned a sold white, then to a burning red. She looked absolutely horrified and shocked at the same time. Draco looked worse. He looked like he was about to faint.
"The only reason," the guy continued, "is because if he finds out you are lying to him, you're lives could end. We have all the information you two need in your offices. This information provides you with everything you need to do this job. I expect you both back in this meeting room at seven o'clock for questions. Only at that time are you to ask questions. Right now, you must read over all of your information before coming back. See you two at seven o'clock. You two are dismissed."
Draco and Hermione left the room in complete shock. They couldn't believe what they had to do. Marriage was a big commitment, and they were so used to being alone. And of all people to get married to! They weren't sure that they really wanted to do this. They went to their offices to find a huge folder full of papers that had to be read for the next 11 hours. They sat down at their desks, opened up the folder, and took out page one of the documents.
***
Draco was reading through the documents with an astonished look on his face. He was all ready half way through them and was in disbelief. This all might have made sense and was perfectly fine with this, but why her? Why did it have to be Hermione, of all the people in this whole world, why her? It just didn't make sense. The only thing he didn't know is that fate had plans for him.
***
Hermione was almost done reading and taking notes on her job. This was a big step for her. She didn't imagine her life turning out to be this way. She didn't imagine that she would ever be marrying Draco either. Everything in these documents made perfect sense and had strict rules for them. You would be amazed by all of the plans and rules there were. Some of this was to be explained at the meeting tonight. However, that is not what she was most concerned about. She was concerned about who she was getting married to. The one person who she would never dream of is getting married to her. Why, of all people, did it have to be Draco? Why is this happening to her? Fate will soon let her know.
***
"Welcome back," said the old man again. "I presume that you have read through the majority of all the documents, but just to make sure you get all of this through you heads, I will go through all of it in several meetings, but for now, we will start out with the basics. First of all, you two just can't get married out of the blue, you need to date, get to know each other, and in 8 months, you will get married. Your first date will be tomorrow evening, but you need to meet in the afternoon, or should I say, bump into each other. We have everything planned out for you and I'll hand that out towards the end. We also have to have a meeting sometime this week for house plans and wedding plans. The Ministry has to work out when the meeting is because right now we don't have time for a meeting this week, but we have to have one. We will let you know later this week.
"Now, I gave you both almost new identities, except you'll still have your names and your lives. We gave you your history ever sense you have been working for us. This includes all of the dates you've had, all of the jobs, all of the places you lived, and so on and so forth.
"One rules that you must follow at all times. Nothing must ever leave this room. If you say one word about this anywhere outside this meeting room, you will be immediately removed from the Ministry. That means, when you guys are together, you to act like real, married people in love. You do not have a choice. Now, we are running out of time, so here is each of your guy's folders and they are not to leave this room. The other folders you have, have been brought to this room and have been put into a secret location that you guys will only know, and me of course. This location will be your location for all of your folders that you guys receive.
"So, will all of this in mind, I expect you guys to rehearse all of this, then get home, and get some sleep. The only thing is, I suggest you guys get used to being around each other and sleeping together. Good luck, and hope you guys make me proud."
The guy left so Hermione and Draco could get to work. Those two were in for a long night. Not to mention the next night, which they had to do everything right, or get kicked of this job and out of the Ministry.
