Enjoy!!

The next morning, you woke up to Jer throwing her new stuff in her trunk.

"It's about time you're up! I've been trying to wake you! You have less than twenty minutes to get ready," she said to you.

"WHAT!?!" you shouted.

"Yeah. It's 10:42 now. Train leaves at eleven!"

"Crap!" With this you jumped up to grab some clothes, took the shortest shower of your life, got dressed, and ran back to the room to get packed.

"Here, I'll help you," Jerika said, now finished with her own.

"Thanks. Oh, where's Radar?"

"He's right there. Don't worry."

You sighed. "I'm just so nervous. New school that we know so much about and we can't tell ANYBODY! I'm gonna fudge it up!!"

"Yeah, I know, it sucks, but try not to, okay?" You nodded. "Alright. There, you're packed," she said, sitting on your trunk to shut it.

"Ah! Yikes! We'd better get going! The train leaves in five!!" you shouted, looking at the clock.

"What?!? No way! Let's go!!" she yelled.

You both grabbed your trunks and pets and hurried out of the Leaky Cauldron. When you reached King's Cross, you continued to gather strange glances and stares due to your rushing through crowds. At the barrier, you didn't even look to see if any Muggles were watching, but rushed through it.

"Holy crap! We've got, like, a minute!" Jer yelled as the man shutting the last door helped you with your trunks. The train whistle blew, signaling that it was about to leave and it started moving. Jer jumped into the final door and you quickly followed, slamming the door shut behind you. "Oh my gosh! I can't believe we made it," Jer said, leaning against a wall to catch her breath.

"Next time, you girls might want to get here a little early. The Hogwarts Express waits for no one," the man who helped you said.

"We noticed," you said. "So, Jer, shall we find a compartment?"

"Yeah, I need to sit down."

You laughed and started to lug your trunk through the train. After searching the whole thing the two of you found one that was almost empty. Jer slid the door open. "Do you mind if we join you? Everywhere else is full."

"No, not at all," a familiar voice said. It was Harry Potter. If you weren't out of breath, you'd scream. How Jer was so calm, you didn't know. In the compartment with him, was an unmistakable upside down magazine that could only mean one person, Luna Lovegood. Harry helped both of you put your trunks into the rack and you sat down, you beside him and Jer beside Luna. "Are you two alright?" Harry asked.

"Yeah, we almost missed the train." You smiled.

"Oh, well, I don't think I've seen you at Hogwarts before," he said. "Are you new?"

You nodded.

"Yeah, we're transfers," Jer said.

"Really? From where?" he asked.

"America," you said.

"What school?" Luna inquired, not looking up from her Quibbler.

"None really. Not Wizarding, anyway. We just found out about our abilities yesterday," Jer told them. It's probably better she did the talking for now anyway, or else have you blurt something out that you shouldn't.

"But how did you get to London?" Harry asked.

"Professor Dumbledore brought us. Told us about Hogwarts and what we'll be learning. I'm Jerika, by the way, Jerika Hunter."

"I'm Samantha Summers. You can call me Sammy, though."

Harry held out his hand to shake with both of you. "Harry Potter."

"We know," you both said.

"Luna Lovegood," Luna said, still not looking away from the Quibbler.

You chat with Harry for a while (Luna's reading) until the compartment door opened.

"Well, look who we have here. So popular, Potter, that you've got the new girls flocking already? How pathetic."

"Go away, Malfoy," Harry said in a dark tone.

"Ooo, was I interrupting something? No, I don't think I will."

"You heard him, get out! Or do you want to finish what we started in Diagon Alley?" you growled, standing up and ignoring Jer's hand on your arm.

"Why not? Now's as good a time as any," he said calmly. Crabbe and Goyle step forward.

"There you go, hiding behind your little bodyguards. They don't scare me," you said, reaching for your wand.

"Sammy, cut it out!" Jer said, but you ignored her still.

"What's going on here?" a girl said from outside. You couldn't see her past Crabbe and Goyle, though.

"Oi! Malfoy, what do you want?" You knew that voice. It was a boy this time and Malfoy's response confirmed the identities of the two people.

"Ah, look. Just what we need to crash this party, another Mudblood and a blood-traitor."

"You watch your tone, Malfoy. We're prefects and we can--" the boy said.

"Can what? Turn me in? I'm doing nothing wrong, simply giving our new classmates a proper greeting. No harm done," Malfoy sneered.

"Not yet," you heard the boy mumble.

"Ron, come on. He's right. We can't do anything. Now, just get out of here," the girl told Malfoy. Amazingly, he left, Crabbe and Goyle trailing him. The two Prefects were now visible in the compartment door.

"Sorry about him. Hope he didn't give you too much trouble. I'm Ron Weasley, and this is Hermione Granger." He introduced himself and his friend.

"Sammy Summers."

"Jerika Hunter."

Ron and Hermione joined you inside and shut the door again.

"So, why was Malfoy in here, anyway?" Hermione asked, sitting next to Jer. Ron sat on to your left. (Harry was on your right, across from Luna)

"Probably to terrorize Harry, as usual," Ron said.

"And me," you added. "Jer, if you'd just let me at least swing a punch at him, I'll be happy."

"Swing a punch? Last time we saw him you were about to curse a hole through his throat!"

"How do you two know Malfoy?" Harry asked.

"Sammy ran into him at Diagon Alley yesterday. Literally."

"Knocked him clean off his feet." You smiled importantly.

"Instant enemies if I say so myself," Jer laughed.

"That's just because of his stupid blood purity thing, no offense, Jer," you said.

"None taken."

"So are you Muggle-born, too? He said there was another but I wasn't sure who," Hermione said.

"Yeah, but Jer here is a pureblood. Not that she knew until yesterday though!"

She laughed.

The snack trolley came by and you and Jer bought a few of everything, eager to try it all.

"This bean looks safe.... Hey, Ron, do you know what it is?" you asked, holding up a brownish white one.

"That? That's marshmallow," he told you.

You plopped it in your mouth and began to chew. It made you want a s'more. "Holy crap. This is amazing!"

You began opening a chocolate frog next. It hopped into your hand and you stuck its head in your mouth before it could hop away and looked at the card. "Sweet! The first magical person we met is the first card I get! Look, Jer, it's Dumbledore!" you said through the frog in your teeth.

"I've got a ton of him," Ron said.

"Me too," Harry commented.

"Here, I'm not collecting. It's a vampire," Jer said, handing you the one she just opened.

"Cool! Thanks, Jer."

"No prob."

"Sorry to interrupt your snacks," Hermione said, "but you should probably get your robes on."

You and Jer agreed and got up to go to the bathrooms to get changed.

"Wow, Sammy, so far, I'm proud of you! No slip-ups yet."

"Yeah, I know. It was hard not to flip when we just so happened upon the compartment containing Harry frickin' Potter! And then meeting Luna, Hermione, and Ron!!! Holy crap! I don't think this day can get much better," you said as you slipped on your skirt.

"Are you crazy? We still haven't even made it to Hogsmeade station and you think it can't get better! We still get to meet Sprout, McGonagall, Flitwick, Hagrid when he gets back, whoever is in our houses--"

"--don't forget putting up with Umbridge, Snape, Filch, Pince! Some things aren't gonna be so great. Gah! Stupid tie! Did you get yours?" you said fumbling with it in the mirror.

"Yeah, hold on. But you expected otherwise? It's just like any other school except we'll be learning Charms and Potions rather than Math and Science." She walked out of her stall and began to help you with it.

"Anyway, about our 'just so happening upon' Harry and Luna...we practically knew where they were." She shrugged.

"Wait....You found them on purpose? Sneaky! You're testing me, no fair!!"

She laughed. "Would I ever do such a thing?"

"Yes!" you said while opening the door to head back.

"Okay, so I would, but I'm not. I promise."

"Yeah, right! That'll be true the day Fred and George stop breaking rules!"

"We don't break that many," said a voice from behind you when you were about one car away from your seats.

"Yeah, we just like to have a little fun." You and Jer turned around to see, who else, but Fred and George Weasley standing there.

"I don't believe we've met, I'm Fred." He shook your hand.

"No you're not! I'm Fred!" said the other twin.

You look at Jer and motion to them while making a gesture that looks something like you scratching an itch. When she understood, she looked and indeed saw it. The one on the left indeed was Fred. George had the small mole on his neck, just like Oliver.... Now that's creepy! He finally admitted that he was not Fred and they shook your hands. They decided to accompany you both back to your compartment.

"Oh, I see you've met my brothers," Ron said when you returned.

"What are you talking about?" George said.

"We've never seen you in our lives!" Fred finished. Ron just glared at them.

"Oh, come on. The resemblance is uncanny," Jer said.

"All right, you caught us," Fred said. She stuck her tongue out at them.

They didn't stay long and left with a simple, "See ya around," from George.

"Well, we're just meeting everyone, aren't we!" you said, opening yet another frog.

"I doubt we've met anywhere near a small fraction of this school," Jer said with a sly grin that only you recognize as your shared knowledge.

"So, what all did Professor Dumbledore tell you both?" Hermione asked.

"Well..." Jer looked at you and seemed, for once, at a loss.

'"Help!"' you heard somewhere in the back of your mind. You were confused, but brushed it off.

"Classes, of course! What we'd need to work on to catch up and stuff like that. And, um--" Now you froze.

"And the houses!" Jer finished for you.

"Yeah!" 'Phew! Thanks!' you thought. "The Sorting Hat seems amazing!"

"What houses do you think you'll be put in?" Ron asked.

"Whatever I'm put in is fine with me," Jer said simply.

"That's a good way to think of it," Luna piped in, apparently listening the whole time.

"How about you, Sammy?" Harry asked.

"Me? I think Gryffindor sounds like the best! I wanna be in it!!"

"That's what house we're in," Hermione said.

"Except for me. I'm in Ravenclaw," Luna spoke again.

"Oh, come on, Sammy! YOU in Gryffindor?? You're way more gullible than you are brave!" she laughed.

"Am not!" you shouted in protest.

She suddenly held a finger to her lips, staring at a point above your head. You started to look to see what she was looking at when she got up and whispered, "Hold still!" You heard her hands cup together. "Got it!" Whatever was in her hands, was trapped.

"Got what, Jer?" you asked suspiciously.

"The spider that was crawling down behind you. I know how you are so I saved it the drama." She peered into her hands.

There were two high-pitched screams as you and Ron jumped, feet on your seats and clung to each other for protection.

"Get it away!" he said in an unusually high voice.

"Yeah, Jer! Kill it!!" you shouted.

"Kill what?" She smiled and opened her empty hands. No spider. No nothing.

"Why you--! What the hell was that for?!" you yelled.

"That was bloody evil," Ron mumbled, resuming his seat.

"Simply to prove a point. Hufflepuff is much better for you, Sammy. Oh, wait! Most of them are hard-working." She shrugged. "I hate to say this, hun, but...uh...you're screwed!!" she laughed. You growled.

"I swear, if you weren't my friend I'd pummel you right now!"

"Go ahead and try." She smirked as Ron said to the others, "If you ask me, I'd swear they were bitter enemies. Or even sisters."

"Oh, but, Ron, you're mistaken. We are sisters!" She smiled sweetly.

"Yup, we've been sisters since the fifth grade!" Harry and Hermione understood, but Ron was clearly confused.

"We've been friends a little more than four years now," Jer clarified.

"Oh. That's the same as Harry, Hermione and me." Hermione rolled her eyes at his poor grammar.

You all continued to chat, Luna added her piece occasionally and then returned to her Quibbler without waiting for the reply. Soon enough, the train finally stopped at Hogsmeade station.
