Author's Note:
Another short one. Things will get interesting again in Chapter 5. I promise! Enjoy.

"Oh, honey, you're home! We're so happy for you!" your mom exclaimed when she saw you, giving you a huge hug.

"Mom? Are you feeling alright?" you asked, very confused.

"Professor Dumbledore! It's a pleasure to have you in our home. Could I get you anything?" your dad said, shaking Dumbledore's hand.

You looked over at Sammy, thinking maybe, for once, she'd have an idea of what was going on, but, unfortunately, she looked just as confused as you.

"Am I late?!" your little sister called, zooming down the stairs. Strange thing was, she wasn't running.

"Celita, what did we tell you about brooms in the house?" your mother scolded her.

"Sorry, I didn't want to miss it." She pouted.

"Mind if I ask, what on Earth is going on?!?" you shouted.

"Sorry, hun. We didn't mean to--" your mom started, but you cut her off.

"Why isn't anyone flipping out for the worse? Have you all gone bonkers? And Celita, where the heck did you get a broom?!

"If you'll excuse me, Jerika, your family is a very highly regarded pureblood family here in the United States," Dumbledore started to explain, returning with your dad from the kitchen.

"And why didn't I know about this sooner?" you asked.

"Well, these books came out before you were eleven and when you didn't get any letters, we were afraid that--"

Sammy apparently caught on to what your mom was saying and burst out laughing. "Ha ha, they thought you were a squib! That's hilarious!"

"Yes, actually, we did," your dad said.

"Still! Why didn't you tell me it was real?"

"We didn't want to get your hopes up. Plus, it's not very wise, outing the Wizarding world like that."

"And what's her excuse?" you asked, pointing at your sister. "She's got a broom?! Wait, is that a Nimbus?"

"She's been practicing Quidditch regularly in the back field." Celita smiled when your mom said this.

"And Tyler?" you asked about your nine-year-old brother.

"Still in the dark," your mom said.

"But we can explain more later. Right now you have to get ready to leave. Go pack. Your Hogsmeade permission slip has already been signed," your dad told you. Sammy had already taken off toward your room.

"Okay. Wait up Sammy!" you yelled, running downstairs after her.

Once in your room, she said, "Didn't see that one coming."

"Yea. I was so lost...I'm still lost!" you said, grabbing your clothes.

"Who'd have thunk it? YOUR family, magical in any way, let alone pureblood!"

"I can't believe this is happening to us! We're witches AND we're going to Hogwarts! Can our lives get any better?"

"Never know," she shrugged. "How are we going to carry all this?"

"Dunno. Oh well, it doesn't matter."

She helped you carry your things into the 2nd living room in the basement, not far from your room and you saw a small pot of what looked like odd ashes by the fireplace.

"We have Floo Powder! Sweet!!" you said. A few 'pops' later, your whole family (except Tyler) and Dumbledore were in the room, as well.

"Ah, swell. This shall prove much easier to get to our destination with your luggage." Dumbledore smiled.

Your mom walked up to you and handed you a small key. "It's for Gringotts, dear, Vault 773. You'll be covered for all your expenses with that. Don't lose that key!" You kissed your mom and dad goodbye and gave Celita a hug.

"I presume you know how to use this?" Dumbledore asked, motioning to the Floo Powder.

You and Sammy both nodded and you grabbed a handful, stepped into the fireplace with your stuff, and shouted while releasing the Powder, "The Leaky Cauldron!" The green flames surrounded you, and, only moments later, you appeared in the pub, Tom waiting for you, and Sammy following close behind.
