Author's Note:
Jerika is also 15 and is about 5’10” tall. She has honey brown hair and hazel eyes. She's very athletic. She is also in her freshman year and shares many classes with Samantha. She is also an overly obsessed fan of Harry Potter. In their hometown, she is the only person who can stand up to Sammy in a battle of HP knowledge and it be a close call. Jerika also enjoys fun activities, though she will pay much more attention on her school work than Samantha does. She excels in science classes but is all around interested in academics. Her love of books fuels her interests in education. She also is highly interested in athletics, playing volleyball for years at school. Also unlike Sammy, her brain-mouth filter works much more efficiently. Jerika was raised in a Christian family and was almost not allowed to read the Harry Potter books at all. She has two younger siblings, and lives with them and both of her parents. Some of her favorite characters consist of Prof. McGonagall, Prof. Flitwick, the Weasley twins, and Luna Lovegood. Her favorite subjects are Charms and Transfiguration, though she's interested in virtually everything.

"Samantha! Samantha, get back here! Jerika, go with her," Miss Brown said. You followed after Sammy, who was now in a full sprint going in the direction of Hot Topic.

You finally caught up to her in front of a blank wall, staring. "Sammy! What is the deal with you? You came running back here to stare at a blank wall?! You're gonna get us both in severe trouble."

"Like that usually bothers you."

"That's at home. Not some place that's completely unfamiliar to us! Now, let's go back and.... Sammy?" You stopped, noticing that her expression had done a complete 180 to utter amazement. You, of course, were now the one confused. You didn't see anything on the wall.

"Wow," she whispered.

"Sammy, what is it? What are you staring at?!" you asked, trying to figure out what's going on. She said nothing and reached to touch the wall. Then something weird happened. Her hand disappeared as she walked forward toward the wall, then her arm and the rest of her body followed. "What the heck?" you asked yourself, looking around to see if anyone else saw what just happened. A few punks were giving you a weird look as they walked into Hot Topic, but that was it. No hint of witnessing the phenomenon. "Sammy? Sammy. Okay, enough with the cheep magic tricks. I'm not mad at you. We just need to get back to the bus, okay? Please answer me. You're starting to scare me." You tried to say this quietly, but you saw the punks staring at you, probably thinking that you were talking to yourself.

You looked away from them and slightly jumped back at the sudden appearance of a store where the wall was. Again, you looked to see if anyone else saw this and by the looks on their faces, you know the punks thought you'd gone insane. You looked at the store. "Wizards Worldwide," you mouthed to yourself. You barely had time to take in the display in the windows because you saw Sammy inside, looking worriedly in your direction. Her expression again changed, evidently noticing that you can see the store, as well, now. She waved at you for you to come inside. You looked around for those nosey punks, who finally left you to your apparent insanity, and, when the coast was clear, you opened the door and entered the store.

"Yay, Jer, you can see it. I was getting worried," Sammy said, attacking you in a hug.

"Yeah. I was beginning to think I was crazy when you went through the wall," you told her, now admiring the inside of the store. You looked back at the door and saw those punks walking by. One stopped to examine the wall you were flipping out about and you gasped, thinking they saw you go in the store.

"Don't worry, they can't see us. Unless they're somehow magically inclined," Sammy said, now putting a hand on your shoulder.

"Magically inclined?" you asked.

"Oh c'mon, Jer, you're the smart one. Think of it like the Knight Bus. Only people like witches, wizards, werewolves, vampires, ghosts, and squibs can see it," she explained.

"Squibs aren't exactly 'magically inclined,' Sammy," you pointed out.

"No, but they've got magical bloodlines! Don't forget, Mrs. Figg could see the Dementors that attacked Harry and Dudley. And Filch. He wouldn't be able to do his job if he couldn't see Hogwarts."

"Ok, ok, I get it, but we clearly can see it so does that make us--"

"Witches? Indeed it does," the clerk interrupted. "Only those of magical properties are able to see and enter this store. Now, I am to check, would you happen to be Jerika Hunter and Samantha Summers?" he said.

"Yes, we are," Sammy answered.

"Very good. These would be yours then." He handed each of you an envelope, addressed appropriately in beautiful, slanted handwriting and green ink. You each turned yours over to the back, on which was the Hogwarts seal. Your eyes widened as you opened and read the letter.

Dear Ms. Hunter

We are very pleased to inform you that you have been accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I will arrive shortly after you receive this letter to escort you to your stay at the Leaky Cauldron in London. The reasons of your late admission will be brought to your attention when I arrive. We will be going to your home to gather your belongings. Your parents have already been notified of you acceptance. A list of your school supplies is included with your letter. I will also be escorting you to Diagon Alley for the purchase of said supplies. I shall see you very soon.

Sincerely,

Prof. Albus Dumbledore

You and Sammy looked at each other and exchanged letters. Hers was pretty much the same. You looked at each other again and grabbed the list of supplies that you'll need.

"This is SO COOL!!!" you yelled, once everything sinks in.

"Omagosh, OMagosh, OMAgosh, OMAGosh, OMAGOsh, OMAGOSh, OMAGOSH!!!!!!!" Sammy was flipping out. She looked at you and exclaimed, "WE'RE WITCHES!!!!"

Your eyes widened as you realize WHERE you were going. "OMG IwannameetHarryIwannameetRonIwannameetHermioneIwannameetDraco!!!" You ran all the words together, but you knew Sammy understood.

"All in due time, Jerika, first the two of you must give this to your teacher, and then go to gather your belongings from your homes." You and Sammy jumped slightly, having not heard him arrive.

"P-P-Professor Dum--D-Dumbledore," she stuttered.

"Yes, Samantha. It is a pleasure to meet the both of you, but I'm sure the pleasure's all yours, judging by your faces," he said with a warm smile and a kind gleam in his eyes behind his half-moon spectacles. He handed you a letter addressed to your teacher. "It is necessary you give this to her so that your whereabouts are accounted for. I will explain everything when we return to the Leaky Cauldron after gathering your supplies."

You nodded and grabbed Sammy's arm. You ran out of the store not paying any attention if anyone saw you. You ran all the way back to the bus, where she snatched the letter from you to give to Miss Brown.

"It is about time. I was about to go look for you myself. Did you find what you were looking for?" she sighed.

"Uh-huh." Sammy nodded, out of breath. "I told you it was important. It's about both of us, we have to go."

"Go? You just got back!" she said starting to open the letter.

"Sorry, but we can't go home on the bus. I'm sure that'll explain why. We just had to come back to give you that and grab our stuff," you told her.

She quickly scaned over the letter and realized what was going on. "Oh, well then, I guess I have to let you go then. Alright, hurry up we need to get back to the school."

Both of you grabbed your books and jackets and headed off the bus. "So long all." Sammy waved. You laughed and once off the bus you both ran back to Wizards Worldwide.

"Ah, you've returned. We must be on our way, so if you'll hold onto my arms we shall be Apparating to your homes," Dumbledore said, holding out his arms for you and Sammy to hold. "Hold tight." The store quickly disappeared as you felt like you were being pulled through a very small tube. The next instant, you were in Sammy's kitchen.

Again, notice the Author's Notes. Jerika's description will be found there this time. Last note that wouldn't fit: More will be revealed throughout the story. Both enjoy music and dancing, and when put in the same room could go on for hours about the topic at hand. Both can be pretty crazy when hyper, but both can handle serious situations, as well.
