Nick Cleveland and the Coven of Lancre

A Machiavellian Ravenclaw, along with his friend Luna, ends up far, far from Hogwarts when a Portkey he's experimenting with goes wrong. How will they get home and what will the powerful local coven do about them?

Their absence has been noted by the adults in their lives, and our castaways are settling in.

Nick reverts to his Ravenclaw roots, teaching Luna the skills that'll come in useful. Meanwhile, at Hogwarts, they're still trying to determine just what happened to their wayward students.

And now the local people are aware of Nick and Luna's presence! How will Granny Weatherwax react to this?

Hogwarts wizards meets Discworld witch. Culture clash rapidly leads to magical clash. Luna shows depths that her friends at home wouldn't have expected.

Just as things get hairy, Nanny Ogg shows up, and manages to more-or-less defuse the situation. And some unexpected guests show up, too, prompting an unexpected journey.

Luna and the Lancre Coven are back at Hogwarts. Meanwhile, Nick has an unexpected encounter with someone very strange.

The prodigals are welcomed home, and everybody's happy to see them. Minerva McGonagall gets a surprise.

Luna's welcomed home, and disabuses her cousins of some misapprehensions. Meanwhile, Nick surprises his mother with some misapprehensions of his own, much to her amusement.

Nick is on the road to recovery, and making plans to give thanks. His mother gives him a lesson in humility that he won't soon forget. While she's very proud of her clever son, she likes to remind him that he is by no means infallible. And we get to see some Old Norse magic.

And now we come to the end. Everybody's happy, Nick and Luna are back home, and there is a new magical world to explore.
