Chapter 3

"You did what?" Ron asked with excitement.

"Keep your voice down," Harry said, mentioning to the others who were quietly asleep in their four-poster beds. Ron gave an apologetic look. "I've told you a million times, Ron. I kissed her. Is it that big of a deal? Honestly!"

"You kissing Hermione is a HUGE DEAL!" Ron leaped up onto his bed and held out his arms wide apart.

"I guess," Harry whispered. "But I don't think she likes me. You should have seen her. She was crying over that git Viktor. I still think she has feelings for him."

"Possibly." Ron had finally sat down. "But you still kissed her." They both laughed.

"Hey, Ron? Did Myrtle watch you take a bath last night?"

"How did you know about that?" Ron asked, his voice quivering. "It was strange, really. One minute I am all by myself, taking a bath and then the next, Myrtle is screaming and pulling out her hair and trying to take out her eyeballs. I thought she fancied me, actually."

"I think she likes you, Ron." Harry laughed. "You should make a move."

Ron looked confused. "You think so, because I like it when a girl comes to me."

"She has already."

"Hmm, maybe I will."

When Harry and Ron awoke the next morning they quickly dressed in their robs and gathered their belongings and shoved them in their bags. They were to meet Hermione in the Great Hall for breakfast and they did not want to be late. By the time they had made their way to the Great Hall Hermione was already waiting for them. In her hands she was holding the newspapers that Viktor had given her.

"Sorry we're late," Ron said as he sat across from Hermione and Harry. Hermione did not respond. "How long have you been here?"

"Awhile," she said, her gaze still on the newspaper. A few moments later the Great Hall doors swung wide open and in came Draco Malfoy and his goons: Crabbe, Goyle, and Pansy Parkinson.

"Get any mail from you beloved Viktor recently, Mudblood?" Pansy asked as she walked towards Hermione's direction. This obviously got Hermione's attention.

"How did you know about that, whore?" Hermione shot up from her seat and faced Pansy.

"Yes! Cat fight!" Ron squealed as he piled more food on his plate and had his full attention on Pansy and Hermione.

"Did your little baby break up with you?" Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle all laughed.

"Nice one, Pansy!" Crabbe said.

"It was you!" Hermione was so angry it would be reasonable if steam jetted out of her ears. "You sent me that owl! It was all a fake!" She picked up that newspaper that had her attention just moments before. "You made this newspaper! You wrote the letter!" She threw the newspaper at Pansy.

"Wow, Granger. I knew you were smart, but I never thought you were that smart," Pansy said, sarcastically. "Who knew that magic could be such a convincing thing? Obviously you didn't, Granger."

"It was all my idea!" Goyle said. "Pansy shouldn't get all the cre-" Draco smacked him in the stomach.

"Shut up! Let my girlfriend finish talking before you start to ramble on!" Draco smirked at Pansy.

"Thank you, baby." Pansy leaned in and kissed Draco on the cheek. "I'll have to reward you later."

Ron spit all his food out. "Okay, that is just gross," he said as he pushed his dish of food far away from him.

"I don't know what you're trying to get at, bitch, but this is not the end!" Hermione collected her things and sprinted out of the Great Hall.

"Oh, poor baby. Look Draco, I made her cry. Oh, I am so sad now." Pansy let out an evil laugh. Harry and Ron ran after Hermione. "And when she's not looking, that little mudblood will defiantly come to an end."
