“Hey! I found a book on magical beauty tips! They have everything here, don’t they?”
Hermione just laughed at her comment. She seemed to be really committed to this 'plan’.
“I think what we need is more like witch fashions, and dating manuals. I’m not sure. Maybe the library isn’t the place for this. But maybe we can find something in this book. She pulled out a huge dusty book that said ‘Make Him Love You-Charms for Every Boyfriend’, and began to study. After several hours, they had found an Allurement Charm, followed by countless tips that were exactly what they needed.
Emily put on her most attractive outfit, performed the Allurement charm, and strolled up to Draco Malfoy’s spot at the Slytherin table, leaning up against it. The edge dug painfully into her middle, but she managed to ignore it.
“Hello.” She smiled as Draco looked up, mild interest on his face.
“You’ve changed.”
“Have I?" She managed to use a seductive tone.
“In a good way.”
“Right. Anyone sitting there?”
“ Crabbe.”
“I see.”
“But he’ll move.”
“Right.” Emily smiled again, taking Crabbe's seat.
They were having a boring, but civil chat when she finally decided to put her plan into action.
“Hey, do you uh, wanna do something sometime?”
“Not particularly.”
“Oh.”
“I’ll be seeing you later.”
“Right.” Emily got up and walked off, her face burning, struggling to keep her rage under control.
He was so rude! She was ready to go back and kill him. He obviously didn’t like that she was practically throwing herself at him. So how was she going to get him to fall for her?
"This is harder than I thought" . She had underestimated him.
Emily told Hermione as soon as she saw her
“Huh. I’ll think about it, We'll figure out something later." She said, walking over to where Ron and Harry were sitting. “Come on, Emily,” Hermione invited her, but Emily declined. She was still too angry and embarrassed to go and talk to other people. She needed to be alone. “No, thanks. I’m going to go read.”
“Okay.”
It took Emily about a week to come up with another, more reasonable, plan. The holidays were over, and they had been good holidays. Her mother and father had sent her some great presents, and her friends had given her some nice things too.
In that week, Emily watched Draco's every move, determined to find a weakness of some kind, or at least something that would help her. She observed how Draco was always trying to take what Harry had, even though his things, or chances, or whatever were always nicer. He always seemed to be trying to make Harry's life miserable.
One day, while she was walking to class, an idea came into her mind so suddenly that she gasped. What would happen if she acted like Harry’s girlfriend? It seemed like a perfect plan. She wanted to try it, but she didn’t know Harry well enough to ask right off the bat. Didn’t their mutual hatred for Draco sweep aside all inhibitions?
She couldn’t study. She had to do something. Potions was next After thinking twice, Emily calmly decided to skip it. She hated it anyway. Why waste her time on it?
After Transfiguration was over, she headed in the opposite direction of the dungeons. Surprisingly, nobody commented on it. Usually Hermione or Parvati would have said something. But Hermione was all wrapped up in Harry, and Parvati was in a deep discussion with Lavender, so nobody noticed her slip away.
She went to her room, and made a list. She had to get Draco, reject him, but then accept him until he tried to get her in bed, to get her to be one of his permanent whores. She also had to figure out how to keep down the bile while she kissed him, so she focused on his his ice-man hotness.
He was very hot, after all. His lean firm body, his grey eyes, his white blonde hair...he looked and acted like a perfect Dark poster child.
Emily wasn’t too sure whether she could get him or not. Her own parents had sent her away , so why would he want her?
Emily nibbled a nail. Maybe if she lost some weight. She jumped up and looked in the mirror.
"But I’m not fat!” At least I don't think so
She hated her face, which was childishly round, and she hated the way her hair was nice and curly, some of the time, and the rest it was half huge, and half flat. Hermione had given her
some sort of wax to make it flat, she’d work with
that.
She supposed she’d have to ask Harry, although she didn’t think she could keep from blushing.
She went downstairs.
“But why?” Harry asked.
“Because, Draco wants what you have. I know that it sort of sounds like a cheesy pick-up line, but honestly, all I need is for you to let me do this until he gets it in his head.”
“I don’t, well, like you like that.”
“Neither do I. I mean, I barely even know you!”
“I don’t know.”
“Think about having Draco Malfoy permanently squished...at least for a while. You don't have to kiss me or anything, just, you know, let me sit on your lap, and eat of your plate, and act like you like me.”
“This should be interesting.” Harry laughed and Emily smiled gratefully.
“I can be evil.”
“I don’t think I’d like to get on your bad side.”
