Author's Note:
YAY!!! Fourth chapter is finally here! it's about time too! I'm really excited and I'm working on the fifth. i have less than a week til school starts, so I'll do my best. It was hard to write what with summer school and all. This is for my family, friends, Morgan, Jasmine, Ryan, and Nicholas. (i consider Morgan and Jasmine as sister/friends) and Ryan and Nicholas are my life. Thanks mostly to Lucky who got me started on this!!!

Chapter VI: Betrayal: Piper was sleeping in. Today there was no school. All of a sudden, a dark form crept to the foot of her bed. It jumped on her bed and grabbed her. Piper let out a high-pitched scream. She looked at the figure. It was Hermione who was grinning like a fool.

"Are you trying to give me a heart attack?"

"I think I already did. You're sisters asked me to come up with a creative way to wake you up. Normally I wouldn't, but it sounded like fun. Plus it's better than hanging out with a whole bunch of horny guys." Piper laughed. "Forgive me?"

"Alright, but only if you help me get back at my sisters."

"Sounds like fun. I'd be happy to help." Piper whispered the plan to Hermione. Prue and Phoebe carefully entered the room.

"So you're not mad at us...are you Piper?" Prue asked cautiously.

"No. Of course not." She winked at Hermione. "But you know you'll have to pay the ultimate price, right?" Hermione magically conjured four water balloons into their awaiting hands. They threw the balloons at Prue and Phoebe.

"Oh! So not fair!" Prue called out. Soon though, they were all laughing. They headed down to the Gryffindor Common Room. Ron, Harry, Ginny, and Ceithlinn were downstairs. (Note from author: With the permission of my dear friend Lucky, I am using her character Ceithlinn as one of my characters in this story. She becomes more important as my stories go on. Wait for the sequel of the sequel, of the sequel, of the sequel, of the sequel. Or something like that. Anyway, if you want to see a lot of Ceithlinn, go check out Lucky4Life's story Aoife and the Druid's Wand it's a really good story!!!) Harry got up and gave Piper a peck on the cheek.

"Prue, Phoebe, why are you two all wet?"

"We decided to take a shower with all of our clothes on," Prue answered sarcastically.

"Why would you do that?" Ceithlinn asked jokingly.

"Actually, it's just hard to avoid a surprise attack of water balloons," Phoebe replied. Hermione giggled. Ron looked at her and smiled. He thought she was cute when she laughed. Piper picked up on it right away. Now she knew Ron liked Hermione, and that she liked him too. She'd definitely have to hook them up. -~-

"C'mon Harry, why don't you want to go to Hogsmeade with me?" It was Cho talking to Harry.

"I'm going out with Piper, and I really like her."

"Don't worry, she won't have to know." They were talking in an empty corridor. Cho had him up against a wall. What Harry didn't know was that Piper and her sisters were taking a walk. Piper and her sisters rounded the corner and they spotted them. At that moment, Cho passionately kissed Harry. He tried to push her away, but he fell into the kiss. Piper saw a clay pot and blew it up. Harry and Cho looked towards Piper and her sisters. Piper crossed her arms and glared.

"Piper! W-what are you doing here?"

"Funny, I was just about to ask you the same thing." Harry started walking up to her, but Prue held him back. It took all her strength to keep her gaze.

"Hey buddy," Phoebe piped up. "You're lucky that Piper's not a demon or she'd be throwing fireballs at you." Piper just wanted to leave.

"Piper, do something quick! I can't keep this up. My powers are good, but not that good."

"Leo!" Piper called out. "Leo I really need you to come here!" Leo orbed in within seconds.

"What's wrong Piper?" Leo asked worried.

"Harry's what's wrong. Can you take me somewhere? Home. Take me home. I can't be here right now." Leo just nodded his head. Prue broke her gaze and joined hands with Phoebe and Piper. Leo quickly orbed them out right before Harry could get to them.

"Dammit," he muttered. He stomped his foot. He turned around to yell at Cho, but she was long gone. Harry couldn't believe what had just happened. He had to talk to Piper. He decided to wait in the Gryffindor Common Room for her. -~-

"Girls! What are you doing here?" Grams asked as soon as they all orbed in. She was in the attic talking to Patty.

"The Potter kid was sucking face with another chick," Prue explained.

"Gee, thanks for the visual Prue," Piper remarked. Patty looked at her middle daughter with concern.

"My poor baby! Your first heartbreak and I can't be there for you. I'm so sorry!"

"It's alright Mom. I know you're a little tied up at the moment. I just wanted to come here. I didn't know where else to go."

"Honey, I know you're sad, but you're supposed to be at school. I don't want anyone to worry," Grams informed.

"I know."

"We should take you back. We can talk there." Grams then turned to her daughter. "I'm sorry Patty, we'll talk later. You know this is important."

"Of course Mom. It's understandable. " Grams blew out the candle, and Patty was gone. Leo orbed them back to Hogwarts and put Piper down on her bed. Grams sat don next to her and started to stroke her hair.

"Honey, I know it's hard for you, but there are going to be a lot of heartbreaks as you get older. Trust me, it's always hard, but don't cry over some guy. He doesn't deserve to be cried over. It's okay. To quote someone, 'Guys aren't worth crying over, and the ones that are, won't make you cry.'" Piper wiped away her tears.

"You're right Grams. I won't let this ruin my life. It's hard, but I'll manage. Somehow I'll manage."

"That's my strong granddaughter! I know you can do it sweetie!" Grams gave each of the girls a hug and then Leo orbed her away.

The girls ran downstairs. They found Harry sadly talking to Ron and Hermione. He had just finished telling them the story. He looked up and saw Piper.

"Piper! I need to talk to you," he begged desperately. Piper wasn't sad anymore, she was pissed.

"Step any closer and I'll literally blow your mind." There was a look of hurt in his eyes.

"Piper, I didn't mean to!"

"Oh no, go cry me a river. Just don't talk to me right now. I don't think I can really even look at you right now." Harry moved closer, but she just froze him. "I should've done that earlier instead of you having to use your powers to keep him back," Piper told Prue.

"It's okay. You were in panic mode. Very understandable."

"Let's go hang out somewhere else." They left the Gryffindor common room. Ron, Hermione, and Ceithlinn chased after them.

"Where are you guys going?" Hermione asked.

"I don't know. Somewhere, anywhere. I just don't want to be around when he unfreezes."

"Piper, you don't know the whole story," Ceithlinn told her.

"Trust me, I was there, I saw the whole story."

"But Harry wasn't the one who made the move, Cho did," Ceithlinn argued.

"But he didn't stop it, did he?"

"No...he didn't. I guess you're right."

"It was hard for him! He had a crush on Cho last year," Ron accidentally blurted out. Hermione elbowed him in the ribs.

"That really didn't help out. That just made things a lot worse," Hermione whispered angrily.

"So I caught my boyfriend making out with another girl, and I thought that was bad, but now I find out it's the girl he was crushing on last year. And now you want me to forgive him?" Piper asked incredulously

"He's the sweetest guy we know," Hermione stated. Piper's eyes softened.

"I know. He's the second nicest guy I know. That's why it's so hard." No one said anything, so Piper turned around and started to walk away. Prue and Phoebe looked at them apologetically and followed Piper. They hurried up to catch up to her.

"So, uh...Piper, who is the nicest guy you know?" Phoebe asked.

"Leo of course." Prue and Phoebe exchanged glances and Prue raised her eyebrows.

"Oh really? And why is that?" Prue asked as though she were implying something else. Piper glared at her.

"It's not like that. Anyone who would get me out of the situation that I was in is at the top of my list. Of course he's just an overall nice guy. I think he was literally has to try hard to be angry whenever he gets ticked off." Her sisters had to admit that she was right. Leo was extremely good. They continued to walk around and ran into Ginny.

"Hey Ginny!" Piper called out.

"Hey Piper, Prue, Phoebe," Ginny called back.

"Hey!" they both called back. They greeted each other like they were all old friends. At first Ginny had been jealous of Piper's relationship with Harry, but her best friend Ceithlinn was good friends with Phoebe since they shared a similar power, in fact...they were in some way related. Truthfully she couldn't see any resemblance. Ginny got to know Piper and realized that Piper was extremely sweet and she could see why Harry liked her so much. They soon found some common ground and became quick friends.

"I heard about you and Harry," she said apologetically.

"You know already? It just happened about an hour ago. I mean, what...doe s the whole school know?"

"Yeah...pretty much. I mean, you two were such a cute couple!"

"Thanks, I think."

"That and the fact that everyone loves a good piece of gossip. Especially anything that has to do with the great Harry Potter." Piper nodded her head in understanding. "So, do you think that you and Harry will still be able to be friends?" she questioned.

"Hopefully. I mean, he's a really great guy and I want to still be friends with him, but for right now, I don't even want to see him."

"Understandable." Ginny sounded thoroughly empathetic. She didn't see this as a chance to go win Harry over. In fact, she wanted Piper and Harry to get back together despite her feelings for him. She still had a crush (it had gone on for so many years that she really didn't think she could get over if she tried). He was happier with Piper, and she could ask for nothing more. Besides, she was now on the prowl to find a guy she could respect and love and feel the same way about her.

"So where are you guys all going?"

"Out and about," Phoebe answered. "It's a good way to blow off steam. Wanna come?"

"Sure. Misery likes company."

"Spreading the joy throughout the school," Prue joked. ~-~

The next week was hard for Piper. She either avoided Harry, ignored him when he tried to talk to her, or she would come up with some snappy, snide remark which left him sad. He was extremely hurt. He knew he made a mistake, but he loved Piper, he really did. No one else ever made him as happy as Piper would. His friends tried to convince Piper of Harry's pain, but she refused to listen. She was hurting inside. Half of her just wanted to forget everything and run straight to Harry. To have him hold her in his strong and safe arms. But another half of her...a stronger side, reminded her that he was the cause of her pain. While he had only kissed Cho, she wasn't sure if she could trust him. And she didn't want to have to live with always wondering if he was out snogging someone else.

Ginny finally got fed up. She managed, with the help of Ceithlinn, Ron, and Hermione to e get Harry, Piper, and her sister, and Cho into one room. It wasn't easy, but they managed. It was easy getting Harry into the room because he desperately wanted to work things out with Piper. Getting Piper and her sisters in was pretty hard. They had to come up with a reason to bring them into the room. Hermione finally told them that she and Ron had gotten in a fight, and since Piper had been the one to help them get together in the first place, then Hermione was sure that Piper would be able to help her sort out her "problems." Piper was happy to help. Prue and Phoebe were eager to help too. Actually, Phoebe was too young and inexperienced to know anything about dating, but she wanted to tag along. The biggest problem was getting Cho to come into the room. Ron had accomplished the difficult task by running up to her and babbling incoherently. She couldn't make out what he was saying, but since he kept motioning for her to follow him, she obliged.

Once everyone was in the classroom, the tension was evident. It was so thick that someone could cut it with a chainsaw. Piper glared as she looked at her "friends" and Cho looked utterly frightened. Piper was particularly intimidating, and it didn't help that Prue and Phoebe were standing right behind her looking just as angry at the obvious lie that Hermione had told them.

"Uh...Ginny? What exactly are you doing?" Cho asked. She had gathered up enough courage to ask the redhead the one question. Piper turned her attention to Ginny anxious to hear her reply as well.

"I'm attempting to get Harry and Piper back together. Cho, look what you've done! You made so many people unhappy! Harry and his friends, Piper, her sister, and all of their friends. All sad and depressed!" Cho looked down at her shoes. She looked back up at Ginny. It was a lot easier to look Ginny in the eyes rather than at Piper or Harry. Or any of their glaring friends.

"I never meant to do anything. I mean, I wanted to...I really wanted to, but usually I wouldn't. I guess with everything that happened last year, and I suppose I got a little jealous of Harry and Piper. I was so used to Harry's attention. I understand it's still not right, but I guess I just got out of control. It was like someone was pushing me to do it." Everything was quiet for a minute. "Uh, can I go back to the Ravenclaw common room?

"I'm not keeping you back," Ginny replied.

"I've got one question," Piper said aloud. "Why didn't you tell me before?" Cho hesitated.

"To be honest, I was scared. You three are powerful witches and have other powers. If I told you, I was afraid all three of you would come after me."

"That's how you see us?" Prue asked. "We're the good guys here. And anyway, it's not like we can use our powers against innocents or for personal gain. We can't do spells or anything even if we wanted to. It's against the rules."

"Well you see, I never knew that. Besides, could you really blame me? Piper practically killed that flower pot! I was pretty damn scared."

"If I can't blame you, then you can't blame me," Piper reasoned. "You were after all making out with Harry. My boyfriend." Harry looked slightly hopeful at the sound that Piper had said boyfriend and not ex-boyfriend. Cho sighed.

"You're right. Listen, I really do have to go now. Homework and all. There is a reason why I'm in Ravenclaw." She turned around and left.

"So does this mean everything is okay? Is everything going to be the same?" Ron asked.

"I don't think so. I'm not sure if I want to get back together with Harry," Piper replied.

"Awww, c'mon Piper. You know it wasn't all entirely his fault," Ron complained. She looked straight at Harry.

"Before I can even consider hooking back up with you," she began. "I want to know everything." Harry nodded his head in response. "Why didn't you try and stop her?" Piper addressed Harry.

"I tried. I really did. But as you know, I used to have a crush on her last year. I really couldn't help myself." Piper nodded her head. She turned around and started to walk away.

"I'm sorry Harry, but I don't think I can do this."

"Piper, wait. I want to resolve everything. Even if you never want to date me again. I want it to be okay between us so that we can at least be friends," he called out to her. She looked over her shoulder and saw that he was being sincere.

"Alright, come on. We'll get back to the Gryffindor common room, and we can settle everything there." They all walked to the common room, and once inside, everyone left Harry and Piper alone.

"Piper," he began, "I know you're hurt and mad at me..." Piper interrupted him.

"No, I went past mad and straight to pissed off."

"Right. But I don't know what to do. I miss you...a lot. I miss sharing things with you and spending time with you."

"I miss all those things too. And I miss you. But what you did hurt me. It really hurt. I mean, even if we did get back together, how do I know that I can trust you? How do I know that you won't do that with some other girl?"

"Because...I like you. No, I don't just like you, I love you." Piper was in shock.

"Are you okay? Are you delusional?"

"No, I'm just fine. Listen, I've thought about this for a while. Not just after Cho, but long before that."

"Harry, we've only been going out for like three months! Don't you think that's moving too fast?"

"I'm not asking you to marry me or anything. I'm just telling you how I feel. You asked for proof that I'll never kiss another girl. Well, that's my proof. I love you Piper, and that's the truth. I haven't lied to you yet...have I?" She shook her head. She was speechless.

"I don't know what to say. I mean, I like you a lot. So much, but I don't know if it's love. I have to think this through.

"Alright. I understand. So, are we okay?" Piper looked up into his beautiful green eyes, and the half of her that wanted to be with him finally won. She nodded her head and smiled .

"Yeah, we're okay." He grinned happily.

"I think our friends would like to know what's going on." She turned around and walked up to her room where everyone was all waiting. "Did I miss the party?"

"No, we were just innocently chatting away," Phoebe answered.

"Sure. But FYI, everything is fine between Harry and me."

"Aw, cricky!" Ron paid Ceithlinn, Ginny, Hermione, Prue and Phoebe five sickles each."

"You obviously don't know don't know our sister very well," Prue commented.

"You guys were betting on my relationship with Harry?"

"Well, ya...but you would've done the same thing if the position were reversed," Ceithlinn pointed out. Piper grinned knowing that her friend was right.

"I know," she admitted. "So do you guys want all the details or not?"

"Hell yeah!" Ginny remarked. All the girls looked over at Ron.

"What? I want to hear too!" The girls shook their heads. "Awe c'mon! All of you get to hear! I want the scoop too!"

"Sorry Ron, but you'll just have to make do with Harry's version." Ron rolled his eyes, threw up his arms in frustration and left. Piper told them everything. Even the three words that had scared the hell out of her.

"He really told you that?" Hermione questioned in disbelief.

"So what are you going to say?" Ceithlinn asked slyly.

"I'm not sure yet. I'm not sure that I love him I mean, I'm not even sure what love is." After talking for a while, all the girls headed off to bed. Piper stayed up thinking about what Harry had said.

"I'm too young to be in love," Piper thought to herself. "Well, Juliet was only 12 or 13 when she fell in love with Romeo. About the same age as me. And they met once and got married." Piper fell into uneasy sleep thinking about Romeo and Juliet and Harry and her. -~-

"Do you have the witches?"

"No mistress, not yet. I'm getting there sir."

"I should just vanquish you right now. You're worthless!"

"Please Mistress! NO! I'll have them soon enough. I'm a great shape shifter and I can possess people to do other things."

"Why don't you just possess one of the witches and kill them all?"

"Mistress, it's not that easy. They know each other well. If they find out about me, they'll vanquish me." A loud voice boomed.

"If you don't destroy them soon, I'll vanquish you!" The small guy squeaked and shimmered away.
