Prologue

Prologue

After previously reciting their vows, the couple held hands as they stood before the minister. The man slipped a ring onto the finger on his wife-to-be, and the women did the same to him.

The minister cried in joy, "You may now kiss the bride." They brought their lips together, and they were not two individuals, but one family.

Following services, the guests disapparated to the Weasley's backyard, where a celebration was thrown for the newlyweds. Friends and family celebrated, witnessing the couple's first dance as husband and wife, and watched in awe as the groom swept his gorgeous wife off her feet.

As the reception ended, the bride and groom hopped onto a broom--the groom thought flying was more romantic then apparting--and to their honeymoon spot, which would remain unidentified. For in the morning, the whole wizarding world would know about the marriage. And, just as the bride suspected, when she picked up the Daily Prophet the following morning, her husband's picture was smiling at the front page headline:

GRANGER FINDS HER SOULMATE...

HARRY POTTER!

Hermione woke up the following day with Harry's arm draped around her. This is paradise she thought to herself. She still couldn't believe that everyone in the wizarding world knew that she was now Mrs.Potter but then again she was very proud of that fact. She felt Harry move beside her and he whispered in her ear, " Good morning love." She turned so that her head was facing his and their bodies were matched perfectly before she answered with a long breath taking kiss that definitely left harry wanting for more. It was the last day of their honeymoon and the only sights that they would be seeing was themselves.

Chapter 1: Dreams

~ONE YEAR LATER~

Ron Weasley sat in his new kitchen as he waited for his best friends to come to his house welcoming party. The three of them were grown up now--25-years-old--and were ready to make things happen.

Well, at least Harry and Hermione were. They were getting closer to their one-year anniversary every day.

Harry was the head of the Department of Magical Games and Sports (DMGS), taking over Bagman's position. He was offered a job position to play Quidditch for London, but eventually he decided that it was too dangerous. [A/N: Harry Potter avoiding danger? That's a first!] Although Harry made a ton of money, he was modest about it. But if you took a look at the clothes he wore, and his house, well, you couldn't call him a peasant without being laughed in the face.

Ron, on the other hand, inherited his father's work apartment. He wasn't poor like he had been as a lad--he didn't have seven children to pay for like his parents did--but he didn't make a lot of money either.

Fortunately, he made enough to buy himself a small little home a few towns over from where Harry and Hermione lived. Ron frowned when he thought about this. Thinking back to his, Hermione's, and Harry's, last time on the Hogwarts Express, when they were wondering about the dreams they hoped to fulfill. Harry and Hermione were dating back then, and Harry had planned his discussion to propose to Hermione. Hermione had said yes, and after a lot of snogging between them, Harry had joked and said now all he needed was to conquer the world.

Ron, on the other hand, was much more serious about his dream, and clearly stated that he wouldn't let his children grow-up the way he had. Ron even remembered the exact words he used:

"I am never going to let my children grow up being poor having to live in poverty and longing for better things." He got up when he heard the doorbell ring and thought to himself, now I just have to find a way to get there.
