Moonlight Beast

"Hey... Hey Evans.. Wait!" Remus Lupin yelled. Lily Evans paused a moment before turning.
"Lupin, will you stop yelling? I am temporary ignoring you so do me a favour. Get lost!" Evans told him, psun around and dashes off, tears welling up.
"Yo Moony! What's up?" young James Potter patted Remus' back. Remus stood,staring at his best friend wondering why Liily loved him. Beside being devilishly handsome and cool, there is nothing that is far better than him. Both of them scaped 10 OWLS each, which was the maximum grade (Peter and Sirius only got 10).
"Hey Moony? Lupin? Earth to Lupin..." James shook him.
"Stop it!" Lupin said furiously.
"Hey, what is wrong?" James asked bizarrely.
"Well, it is the horrible fact that you exist. Happy with my answer?" Lupin stormed off angrily. The Astronomy door opened and Peter and Sirius came out.
"Yo! Where is Moony?" Peter asked.
"Beats me. He probably died or something. Like I care. Anyway, tonight's adventure is cancelled," James answered.
"Why? Got a date with Mrs.Potter?" Sirius teased.
"Who, who?"James asked innocently but he could not hide the red blush on his face.
Lupin saw the scene in front of him. He was going to apologize to James. 'Guess Lily will make him feel better.' he thought bitterly. Evans refused to meet him tonight because she had a date with his best friend. Even in his mind, the thought sounded ridiculous...

"Hi James,"Lily said shyly.
"Hi. Erm.. Let's stroll in the moonlight. Shall we?" James suggested, holding out his hands.
"Sure," Lily replied as they walked, hands in hands.The lovers sat under the Oak tree by the lake and they talked. First, from studies, Quidditch, then slowly to their own matters.
"And Petunia was so shocked that she yelped. It was so hilarious but I felt so guilty now," Lily told him. James listened in awe, surprised at the stuffs on Muggles. James took a deep breathe and said boldly,
"Evans, actually I have feeling for you since I first saw you. Apparently, it was love at first sight."
Upon hearing the confession, Lily's heart almost stopped beating.
"I had to admit that I hated you at first, but then it all changed..." Evans spoke, voice barely a whisper. 'God,' Lily thought. 'I can't believe I am saying rubbish to the man of my dreams.' James was coming closer and Lily can see the pimple on his face. How kind had the summer sun be to James. His face was perfectly tanned that you might actually think that it was painted out. Slowly, James' lips touched hers.
Lily was mesmorised by James' passion and returned it. As James leaned forward to deepen the kiss, Lily had nothing to do but to moan and hug James tightly. She felt so relax, so calm and right. They lay on the grass pitch, rolled about as they deepened their feverish kiss.

'Finally gotten rid of Madam Pomfrey, I knew I can get to Shrieking Shack myself.' Lupin muttered. He could hear groans from behind the Oak tree. 'Better not risked it.'He decided to get to Shrieking Shack but curiousity got the better of him as he went round the tree. He caught sight of a couple, huddling together. The girl only had her bra on. He blinked and saw their faces, shining under the moonlight. It was Lily and James. He caught his breath as he moved closer to the offending picture.
"You two..." Remus stammered. Blushing, Lily wore back her clothes while James ran his hands through his raffled hair, trying to be cool but failing miserably on the attempt.
Suddenly, the clothes of Lupin began to tore, almost magically as the werewolf transformed in front of them.
"Oh shit! I forget... Tonight is the full moon," James said. The wererolf took forms and Lupin's nails changed to claws and he grew a tail. Seeing the murderous look on Remus' face and the shocked look on Lily's, James explained at top speed,
"Well. Lupin is werewolf and Sirius,Peter and me are animagus. Perhaps it will be better for you to run for once I transformed, it will be easier for me to escape. Don't breathe a word to anyone. With an assuring nod, James transformed.
The werewolf howled loudly, saliva dropping from his monsterously sharp. He paused a moment and let out another heart-tearing howl. Prongs beckoned Lily to run but she felt too weak and frightened to run. She stood, watching the werewolf surveying her like a hungry predator surveying his prey. Prongs watched the werewolf's every move carefully. Then out of nowhere a black shadow appeared.
"I knew he will find you two somehow. I managed to coax the love sick Peter to sleep before setting off. James, it is Moony. He is in love with Lily," Sirius informed. The werewolf growled meneciuosly at Sirius as he changed into a big black dog. The wererolf fixed its big, yellow eyes on Padfoot. Lily managed a silent whimper of help. The werewolf howled more softly this time, probably hiding a snicker. Prongs stood in front of Lily, shielding her. It seemed to anger the werewolf as he let out another wail and pounched on Lily. Prongs appeared, blocking out Lily and the werewolf's sharp claws landed on on Prongs' brown coat instead. Padfoot bawled out in anger. The werewolf redrew its claw and redish blood flow out. Lily flung herself on Prongs, weeping.
Padfoot rounded up on the werewolf before he attacked. The cries of a werewolf, dog and Lily filled the nightsky. The werewolf dragged the helpless Padfoot into Shrieking Shack and Lily knew no more...

After what it seemed like hours, the werewolf appear. Claws filled with blood, he ran towards the Forbidden Forest. Prongs had resumed his human form and he was fine, except some cuts. He and Lily rushed into the shack to saw Sirius lying in the floor. There was blood everywhere and the scene is just too horrible to discribe. James approached Sirius sadly and took his pulse. There was none. Shock and devasted at his best-friend's death, he hugged Lily tightly as both of them sobbed silently.
When the sun rised, Dumbledore came and James related to him on what happened. Afraid for the worst, Dumbledore ordered the game-keeper to search the ground and Forbidden Forest. A werewolf's body had been found. It was Moony. As they watched the werewolf changed to Remus Lupin's kind face, Lily sobbed remosefully. She had indirectly causes Sirius and Lupin's death. She took hold of Lupin's cold hands and wept. She did not have the time to let Lupin know, know that it was him whom she realized, love all along......
