Chapter 5

They were met with several wands pointed at their faces, held by several hooded figures.

"Show your mark," said one of the hooded figures.

Hermione didn't know exactly what he meant but she looked at Draco and he was rolling up his sleeve. She did the same thing and after they were both clarified, they were given black death either robes. Hermione resentfully put hers on.

"Just try not to stand out," said Draco into her ear making her shiver as they walked into what seemed like a conference room.

"Easy for you to say," Hermione whispered back as they found a seat.

With that, Voldemort walked into the room, "Welcome as always. I would like to announce that our number has recently increased by five, would you five please stand?" he asked.

Hermione quickly stood and looked at the others who stood as well. One in particular that shocked her, Fleur Delacour, from the fourth year tri wizard tournament. just then Voldemort's voice brought her back to reality.

"Thank you, you may be seated. Now to discuss why I've called you here. My right hand man and I have been planning an attack on several muggle buildings in London soon. This is going to take everyone to accomplish it," He said.

Four hours later Hermione had the whole plan memorized as the meeting was wrapped up. She could now write to the ministry and tell them the whole plan and be free from her prison among the dark lord and his motley crew.

Draco and Hermione both apperated to his manor. As Hermione was heading up stairs to go to bed Draco pulled her back down the stairs.

"Where do you think your going?" he asked.

"To bed, I'm bushed," she replied giving a yawn. "it's almost midnight,"

"Nope, your coming with me. put your cloak back on, we're going out." he said with a smirk.

"Where?" she asked.

"You'll see, now get ready! I'll be right back," he replied and left the room.

Hermione grabbed his cloak and put it back on. She snuggled into it and took a huge whiff. The smell of Draco's cologne smelled of exotic spices and yet had a sense if sweetness to it. Every time she had gotten nervous at the death eater meeting she had pulled the cloak closer to her so she could smell the cologne.

Hermione wondered where they were going. She was so tired from having to be Mione all night, all she wanted to do was go to sleep. Draco finally came back about fifteen minutes later. He was caring two large blankets, a flashlight, and a book.

"Well don't just stand there, make yourself useful," he said nodding towards the blankets.

Hermione took the book and one of the blankets and followed Draco out the door. He lead her around the house, on a path through the woods, and finally to a huge open field, which he walked across until he seemed to be in the very center. As he spread the blankets onto the group Hermione was wondering what he was up to.

She was about to set down the book but caught a glimpse of the cover, In the stars by Blac Wholle. Almost naturally she looked up to the sky, It was beautiful. There wasn't a cloud in the sky and she could see for what seemed like miles. Noticing the Draco had sat down, she did as well.

"What do you think?" he asked looking at her as he laid down on his side.

"It's beautiful," she replied still looking above.

"Not as beautiful as you," he replied.

This made he take her gaze away from the stars.

"This used to be my favorite spot when I was younger. It made me feel less alone when I would come out here," he continued.

"I can understand why," Hermione replied, now laying down.

They both stared at the sky for what seemed like hours and soon it began to get chilly. Simultaneously they cuddled. Hermione laid her head on his chest as well as her arm, and he wrapped his arms around her, realizing how she seemed to fit into his arms perfectly. Soon they were asleep, in each other's arms.

Draco awoke early the next morning. Hermione was still asleep and they we're both covered in dew. Draco laid there for a long time. he thought about all that had happened so far. Did he really love Hermione? If he did, did she feel the same way? He really didn't know what to do. All he knew was that he wasn't going to let them hurt her, no matter what. Draco's thoughts were interrupted by the sun starting to rise. Draco leaned down and softly placed his lips on Hermione's, causing her to stir.

"Good morning," she said smiling.

"Good Morning. I thought we could watch the sunrise, get a bit of breakfast, then go from there," he replied.

"Sounds wonderful," said Hermione snuggling up against him, unknowing to him that it felt like pure bliss as she melted into his arms.

Hermione snuggled closer. She loved the way his arms fit around him. She was in complete bliss, and it sort of scared her. Could it really work? probably not, but at that moment, Hermione decided what she had to do. She had to leave Draco, her job was done and she didn't need to be there anymore. She thought that she truly loved him, and she knew that she couldn't stay. She was a mudblood, and he was a Malfoy.

It would never work. she had to go, and she had to go as soon as she told the ministry of Voldemort's plans. If Draco was right, if she will be pulled back into Voldemort's circle, she'll die. She won't lie, she'll tell them who she really is, and what she did. This would surly have her killed, and Draco would be left behind either way, yes, it was the best thing to do.

Yet Hermione didn't want to do it. At the thought of leaving Draco and his loving arms, she snuggled even closer, if it was possible, and laid her head in the cradle of his neck. He kissed her softly and let out a small sigh.

We should be getting back," he said finally. "you'll catch a cold,"

"I suppose," she replied, knowing when she got up it would bring her closer to her leaving him, forever.

They got up slowly, folding the blankets, and grabbing the now soggy book, and low battery flashlight, and walked back to the manor.

As they reached the manor, Draco was greeted by a house elf who had a letter in her hands.

"This arrived last night," the house elf squeaked.

"Thank you," Draco replied, and with a wave of his had beckoned it's leave.

Minutes later Draco murmured, "I have been summoned by Voldemort to discuss the plans for the attack. This might take awhile, I'm afraid I might have to cancel our breakfast, but I'll be home by dinner, and I'll take you out," he kissed her on her head.

"I understand, well be careful, we both know Voldemort's look can shoot daggers," she smirked, kissing him back, "until dinner then," she said as she walked into the house.

Hermione had many things to do that day. From writing to the ministry to selling her apartment and finding somewhere else to stay.(A/N She can't stay at her apartment, or the twins place because Draco knows both of those places) She had to do this before Draco gets back from his meeting. So she walked inside, and sat down to write a list of all the things to do that day.
