Saoko looked outside her house's window. The wind picked up as a storm started to rage. She was a short girl with emerald green eyes. Her black hair was up as she wore her morning kimono. Ever since Sirius died her life had never been the same, but then again since she was two year's old.
"Why? Just why did you have to die? You were like my own brother. My flesh and blood, my cousin," Saoko whispered as tears fell down her face.
Her younger and older siblings looked at her, as it was her turn to speak at the funeral. I can't do this. I just can't. Saoko got up and ran out the door into the storm.
"Sao-chan! Sao-chan!" her mother shouted. "Don't run away! Don't do this, not now!"
Her mother reached her hand out to stop her, but she continued 'til she was outside. She ran as the storm raged. She walked into a cold and dark cave. It was so dark no average witch or wizard would be able to see without using their wand except she was no ordinary witch. Saoko was the only dragon soothsayer left in the world and that meant she could see in the dark. Flagra. Flagra! Answer me, Flagra. I'm here, child! Come see me now. My dear dragon mother, Flagra. I love you! And I you. Saoko told Flagra everything and then left. When she returned home her mother ran up to her hugged her. "Saoko dear you're soaking wet!" her told her.
The next day everything was packed and ready to go to London. Her grandmother gave her a jade dragon statue. She held it tight as she entered the chimney. She held her handful of floo powder and shouted, "12 Grimmauld Place!"
She felt as if everything was rushing past her as she landed in a chimney. She sighed as she lifted her bags and waited as her older and younger brothers, and two younger sisters, mother, and father. She looked around the house and saw that Professor Dumbledore and McGonagall were waiting for them. Professor Dumbledore walked up to them and looked from Saoko's older brother to Lukain to her younger sister Keiko and smiled at them.
"I hope you had a gentle trip here, Yukiko," Dumbledore asked her mother.
"Yes, it was wonderful. Dumbledore where shall we stay?" her mother asked.
"Ah! You may chose where you like," Dumbledore replied.
As she walked into a room she saw a sign on the wall. She stared at it and looked for her father's name, but where it was supposed to be there was a tiny itsy bitsy hole there instead. She looked at a painting and said, "Wow! This is so extraordinary!" The painting opened up to a small room. It had a big bed, a drawer, a mirror, and a small couch. She grabbed her bags and put them in there.
"Saoko! Come downstairs now! We have guests!" her mother shouted up the stairs. She walked threw the painting door and ran down the stairs.
"Mom, yes... Oh! Hello!" Saoko said as she smiled to eight people standing in front of her and her mother.
"Saoko, please meet the Weasley family. Ginny, Ron, Fred, George, Charlie, and Bill Weasley. They should be staying here until school starts. Dear, Charlie works with dragons. Maybe you can talk to him about Flagra," her mother informed her.
"Sure, Mom. I gotta go upstairs for a sec. I need to finish getting my room together," she told her mom.
A girl with wavy brown hair came in with a Hogwarts trunk. She looked taller than her, but than again most people were taller than her.
"Hi, I am Hermione Granger. You are?" the girl asked her.
"Oh! I am Saoko Clifton. I would like to welcome you to my new home, but I think you already have been here," Saoko told the girl.
"Nice to meet you," Hermione said. "Why hello, Mr. And Mrs. Weasley. Hi Charlie, Ron, Bill, Fred, George, and Ginny!"
Saoko ran up the stairs and back into her room. It was too quiet so she ran back downstairs when she was done unpacking her things and setting up her awards and putting her samurai swords on. She smelt fresh rice and fried vegetables. She ran into the kitchen and saw her mother placing fresh rice, fried vegetables, and sushi on the table.
"Mom, what is this stuff Mrs. Clifton made?" Ron asked.
"It is a traditional meal in Japan. It is sushi, vegetables and rice. You should try it," Saoko informed him as she walked into the room and sat down.
"Ah! You're back, dear. Dumbledore wishes to speak with you after you eat. And please do not go outside tonight," her mother told her.
"Yes, mother I will do as you say, but please I must go outside tonight. I will be able to see Saturn really well tonight," she begged her mother.
