CHAPTER 6: KIDNAPPED

After leaving Dumbledore's office, Harry went back outside. He mounted his Thunder Rod and did a couple of laps around the school grounds.

He landed again; this time outside of Hagrid's cabin. Harry opened the front door.

Fang, Hagrid's boar hound bounded out and knocked Harry over. He started licking Harry's face happily. "I'm glad to see you too," said Harry as he patted Fang's head.

Harry entered the cabin.. He saw a large barrel labeled 'Dog Food'. Harry opened the barrel and filled Fang's food dish. He then filled Fang's water dish from the rain barrel.

After feeding and watering Fang, Harry crawled onto Hagrid's bed. Harry kind of wished Hagrid was there now. Hagrid would probably be making tea and offering him some rock cakes or treacle toffee.

Harry closed his eyes. He pictured Hagrid having wild times and some unbelievable adventures.

Harry never heard Fang's booming barks as the hooded figure approached from the Dark Forest. "Quietus!" the figure whispered. Red sparks shot from the tip of the wand he was holding and Hit Fang. His barks became merely a whisper.

The hooded figure entered Hagrid's cabin and saw Harry on the bed. "Stupefy!" he said. Blue sparks shot out of his wand and hit Harry and stunned him. The figure grabbed Harry and Disapparated. (A/N I know that you can't Apparate and Disapparate from Hogwarts grounds, but for my fic, Voldemort found a way around these protective wards.)

* * *

Harry woke up in a dark room. The last thing he remembered was Hagrid's cabin. He knew he wasn't there. He also knew that he wasn't in his four-poster bed in the Gryffindor fifth year boys dormitories. "Where in the world was he?" he wondered.

As if on cue, the torches in torches in the room burst into life. On a small table in the corner was a piece of parchment. On the parchment was a letter addressed to him. It read:

"Dear Mr. H. Potter,

Welcome to my recreation of Hogwarts, My own evil recreation.

Darkwarts directions are reversed: Up is down, down is up; right is left, left is right; North is South, South is North; East is West, West is east. As well, the corridors and rooms are constantly shifting positions.

I have kidnapped yourself and three people of whom are very close to you. You are to try and rescue the other three people.

To aid you in your search I provide you with these clues three:

1. The first is in the highest tower. You go here to study the stars.

2. The second is in a classroom where you concoct brews of different smells, colors and consistencies.

3. The third is where you must go if you want to send post. You must also go here if you want to see your fine feathered friends.

Be warned Harry Potter. There are many dangers lurking in these corridors at

Darkwarts, many indeed.

Lord Voldemort"

Harry examined the clues. "The first in the tallest tower. We go here to study the stars. That's definitely is the Astronomy Tower.

The second is where we concoct brews. That's the Potions' Dungeon.

The third is where we send post and visit our fine feathered friends. That's definitely the Owlery," Harry thought.

Harry saw his wand laying on the table. He grabbed it and ran from the room. "Oh great," he thought. He didn't even know which part of the castle he was in, and with the directions being reversed, he could really get lost

"Lumos," he muttered, and the tip of Harry's wand lit up. he laid the wand flat in his palm. "Point me," he said. The wand spun around. The tip pointed directly behind him. that direction was North. Was it the real North, or the North as pertained to Darkwarts? Harry didn't know.

He decided to try something else. He pulled a presumably blank piece of parchment from his pocket "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good," he said. He placed the tip of his wand to the parchment. Instantly as if an invisible hand were drawing on it, lines spread out from the point where his hand touched. After a few minutes, all of Hogwarts was shown on the parchment. A small dot labeled Harry Potter was just outside of the Transfiguration classroom.

Harry tested his theory. He took a couple of steps right -- the dot moved left. He took a couple of steps left -- the dot moved right.

Harry then heard an evil cackling voice in his head. It said, "Be warned Harry Potter. This is not as easy as it looks. Besides the moving chambers and passageways, there are many monsters and traps. As well, my Death Eaters walk the halls.

Harry Potter you must rescue the prisoners in the correct order and bring them back to your starting point before you rescue the next one.

If you survive the halls, you will face the ultimate challenge -- Me! Bwa ha ha ha ha! Good luck Harry Potter!"

"Wait! What's the order?"

"The clues are given in the order you must rescue the prisoners in."

"Astronomy Tower, Potions Dungeon, Owlery. I have to rescue them in that order and bring them back to the Transfiguration Classroom," thought Harry.

Harry charged down the left corridor. He was stopped a few feet down by a stone slab sliding across the hallway. He turned to go back the other way. However, this path was also blocked. However, a set of stairs leading up and down opened up to his left. "Up is down, down is up," Harry remembered.

Harry ran down the stairs. He looked on the Marauders' Map. The dot labeled Harry Potter was moving up towards the fourth floor.

There was now another dot labeled troll. It was standing at the bottom (top) of the stairs. After a few more steps, Harry smelled the beast.

The stench alone was almost enough to make Harry pass out. Harry saw the beast. It was even larger than the one he and Hermione saw in the chamber past the giant chess board back in the first year when they stopped Lord Voldemort from getting his hands on the Philosopher's/Sorcerer's stone in the first year.

"Stupefy!" Harry yelled. The troll slumped to the ground. Harry ran the rest of the way down the stairs. When he got past the body of the troll in the hall, there was a loud bang. Harry turned around. The troll's body was gone, and so was the staircase.

Harry looked at the map. he was in the hallway that led to the Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts classrooms. Harry wandered around this level for a while. He knew he was nowhere near where he wanted to be but used the time to think of a plan of action.

All of a sudden the hair on the back of his neck stood on end. Harry looked up. The ceiling was cracking. Harry dove out of the way as a bunch of rubble fell where he was just standing. It would have crushed him had he not moved.

He then heard voices approaching from the hallway in front of him. The hallway behind him was blocked. Harry instinctively hid behind a large boulder.

Three Death Eaters loomed out of the darkness ahead of him. "Stupefy!" Harry screamed as he jumped from his hiding place. The first Death Eater slumped to the ground. "Impedimenta!" The second Death Eater stopped in his tracks.

The third Death Eater, however had time to pull out his wand. Harry realized this. "Expeliarmus!" The Death Eater was thrown backwards into a wall. "Accio Wands!" Harry said and summoned all three of the Death Eaters' wands to him. He tossed the wands into the rubble behind him.

By that time the Impedimenta jinx had worn off the second Death Eater. He charged at Harry. Harry moved out of the way and the Death Eater tripped over some rubble and crashed headlong into a large boulder and was knocked out. The hood fell from his face and Harry saw that it was Lucius Malfoy, Draco's father.

Harry briefly savored his victory over the three Death Eaters and the fact that one of them was Draco's father. He headed the only direction he could go.

He found another stairway leading down. This stairway ended at a locked door. Harry looked at the map. Even though he knew that he couldn't be anywhere near there, the dot labeled Harry Potter was outside the door that led to the stairs of the Astronomy Tower.

"Alohomora!" said Harry. The lock opened. Harry opened the door. Instantly Harry felt the waves of cold only a Dementor could produce. Harry remembered winning the House Quidditch Cup in his third year (the happiest memory he ever had). "Expecto Patronum!" Harry saw a silver Stag come from the tip of his wand. It was even brighter than the one he used to save himself, Hermione and Sirius in his third year.

The Dementor glided past Harry and out the door quickly. The Patronus followed it. Instantly Harry felt warmer.

He pressed on down another staircase and through a trap door in the floor. He lit the torches in this room. That's when he saw her. Hermione was chained to the wall furthest from the trap door. Her Head hung limply to her chest.

"Hermione!" Harry yelled.

Hermione lifted her head. "Harry," she said weakly. Her head dropped to her chest again.

Harry ran across the room. He saw that Hermione's arms were in shackles above her head. He grabbed one of her arms with one of his. With his other hand he touched the tip of his wand to the shackle. "Alohomora!" Harry said. Both shackles released and Hermione fell limply over his shoulder. Hermione was heavy.

Harry carried Hermione out the door and up the steps. Once at the top, Harry set Hermione down against the wall. He pointed his wand at her chest. "Enervate!" Harry said pointing his wand at Hermione's chest.

Hermione blinked a couple of times before speaking. "Wh...where am I?" she asked quietly.

"Darkwarts Castle, Voldemort's own recreation of Hogwarts," replied Harry, "Voldemort kidnapped you, myself, and two other people who are close to me. I have to rescue each one of you, get you to the recreation of the Transfiguration classroom, then rescue the next one. If I succeed at rescuing all three, I will have to fight Voldemort himself."

Harry held out his hand and helped Hermione up. Harry noticed that Hermione was only wearing a nightgown. He pulled off his robe and wrapped it around her.

He removed the Marauders' Map from the pocket. There were now two dots side-by-side, Harry potter and Hermione Granger. A third dot labeled Peter Mulligrew approached from the left. A fourth dot labeled Nagini was slithering towards them from the right.

"What do we do now?" asked Hermione, "we're trapped." Just then, the left passage was blocked by a stone wall sliding across it. This blocked Nagini's access to them.

"One down, one to go. Come on Hermione, think of something. You're the brains of the trio," said Harry.

"I'm too stressed out to think right now. My brain isn't working right now." Hermione started to cry.

"Just great," thought Harry, "when I need her the most, she breaks down." Harry racked his brains for ideas. Each possibility seemed to be a dead end. He then remembered a hypnotizing charm that Professor Flitwick told them about.

Just as Harry pulled out his wand, Peter Pettigrew, a.k.a. Wormtail rounded the bend. "Hypnoticalus!" bellowed Harry when Wormtail came within range of the spell.

Wormtail stopped dead, a glazed look spread over his face. "Peter Pettigrew, this is Harry Potter. Can you hear me?" asked Harry.

"I can hear you," Wormtail replied in a monotone voice.

"I have a few suggestions for you: First of all, on December 1st, you will Apparate to the Ministry of Magic. You will confess to betraying Lily and James Potter to Voldemort. You will also confess to murdering the 12 Muggles that Sirius Black was wrongly accused for. Repeat what I just said to you."

"On December 1st, I am to Apparate to the Ministry of Magic. I am to confess to betraying your parents. I am also to confess to the murder of 12 Muggles, that Sirius Black was accused of murdering," he repeated.

"Very good. My second suggestion also involves the Ministry of Magic. Before you are taken away from there, you will reveal Voldemort's hiding place to them. Repeat."

"While I am at the Ministry of magic, I am to reveal to them my master's hiding spot."

"My third suggestion is for right now. When i clap my hands you will wake up. then when you hear your nickname, Wormtail, you will return to Voldemort and tell him that I have made it back to the Transfiguration classroom with Hermione."

Harry clapped his hands. The glazed look disappeared from Wormtail's face. He started towards Harry and Hermione. "Wormtail," said Harry quickly. The glazed look reappeared over his face. Wormtail then Disapparated. "Come on Hermione. Let's get moving."

"That was quick thinking, Harry," said Hermione as Harry grabbed her hand and started running. They stopped beside a torch bracket.

Harry pulled the bracket downwards and there was a whooshing sound as a secret door slid open. This secret passage would take them straight to the Transfiguration classroom's closet.

About halfway down this passage Harry stopped. He held out his arm for Hermione to stop. "Wh...what's wrong?" she asked. Just then, a ten foot section of the wall slammed shut.

It opened up. "Run Hermione, run fast...now!" They dashed down the passage. they barely made it before the trap slammed shut again.

"Who's doing this, Harry?"

"Voldemort."

"Why?"

"To destroy me. Why else?"

"You don't seem too upset by that fact."

"I am. I just don't have time to let it get to me. I have two other people to rescue after I get you to safety."

"Who?"

"I...I...don't know.. I'm sure they're close to me though." They reached the Darkwarts Transfiguration classroom. "Hermione, stay here. I have to rescue the others.

You're safe here. I promise you that."

"Oh Harry, do be careful." Hermione threw her arms around him.

Harry looked down into her chocolate colored eyes with his of emerald green. He saw the tears welling in Hermione's eyes. He kissed the top of her head gently.

Harry pulled away from Hermione's embrace. "I'll be back for my robe," Harry said as he exited the room.

Harry knew if he were heading from Transfiguration to Potions he'd normally go left, but seeing as the directions were reversed he headed right. He had only gone a few feet when the hallway tipped and he was plunged down a stone slide.

After a few minutes of sliding, Harry hit the bottom. A doorway opened to his right. Harry hurried through this doorway before the hallway changed again.

As soon as harry passed through the doorway the room spun 180o. Doors opened in each wall. Harry ran through the door behind him. As soon as he passed through this door his scar started burning.

Harry ran left down the corridor. The corridor ended in a staircase leading up. Harry ran up the stairs three at a time.

About halfway up, Harry saw two lit wands coming down towards him. Harry figured that if he tried to go down, the stairs would probably disappear. "Stupefy!" Harry yelled quickly followed by, "Impedimenta!"

The first Death Eater tumbled down the stairs past Harry. The second froze in place. Harry dashed past this Death Eater.

Harry soon came to a place where the stairs split into three. He ran up the right fork. It ended in a dead end. Harry started back down. One of the steps sank. This switch converted the stairs into a slide. It also released a boulder from behind the dead end.

Harry slid all the way down until he hit a flat surface. He was surrounded by walls on all sides. The boulder rolled closer and closer.

Just as Harry thought the boulder was going to crush him, a hand reached through the wall in front of him and pulled him through . He looked into Hermione's brown eyes. She pulled Harry down the corridor just in time. The boulder crashed into the wall and shattered with the force of a small explosion.

"Thanks, Hermione," said Harry, "What are you doing here?"

"I couldn't just wait for you to return to the room."

"How did you know where I was?" She pulled the Marauder's Map out of Harry's robe pocket.

"But the directions are reversed here. How did you...?"

"I watched the map. It didn't take long for me to figure it out."

"I was probably far from the room. How did you find me so fast?"

"Secret passages."

"You were lucky you didn't run into Death Eaters or monsters."

"I used the map to avoid anyone I saw."

"What about traps?"

"They're shown on the map too. See, this is where you were before the boulder was released." Hermione placed a finger on the map.

Harry noticed that the lines were darker here than on other areas of the map. "You're saying these darker areas are traps."

"Exactly."

"Thanks Hermione. Get yourself back to the Transfiguration classroom. I'll be fine."

"No."

"Go. I'll be back there when I've rescued the second prisoner.

"The passages changed Harry. I won't be able to find my way back safely." Tears were running down Hermione's cheeks.

Harry used his thumbs and wiped the tears away. "Fine," he whispered, "Stay close." Hermione nodded. The corners of her lips turned upwards. They walked in silence, not wanting to alert the Death Eaters to their location.

Suddenly they were plunged into pitch blackness. There was a sound of stone scraping against stone. "Lumos!" said Harry. The tip of his wand lit. A stone wall blocked Harry from Hermione. "Hermione, can you hear me!" shouted Harry.

"Barely! It's getting hot in here! Save me!" Harry looked at the map. Hermione's dot was surrounded by red lines. He figured the red lines meant heat.

"Hermione, get down and cover your face! I'm going to try and use the Reductor Curse!" No answer. "Hermione!" Still no answer. Harry knew the heat had gotten to her. He pointed his wand at the wall. "Reducto!" He yelled. The Reductor Curse blasted the wall apart.

The heat overwhelmed Harry. He struggled to maintain consciousness. He saw Hermione collapsed in the middle of the small room. He ran over to her and picked her up. He carried her as far from the heat trap as fast as he could

When he figured he was far enough from the trap, he laid her down on the floor. "Fountain Erupticus!" he said. A stream of water shot from the tip of his wand and drenched Hermione. He hoped it would be enough. "Please let her be alright," he said, he begged, he pleaded to no one in particular. He pointed his wand at her chest and said, "Enervate."

Harry knelt beside her. "Where am I? Why am I all wet?" she asked.

Harry let out a sigh of relief. "I shot a jet of water over you to cool you off after I pulled you from that heat trap."

"Oh. I'm thirsty."

Harry pointed his wand at Hermione's mouth. "Open up." Hermione opened her mouth. Harry issued a small jet of water into her mouth. She closed and swallowed. "More?" Hermione nodded and opened her mouth again. Harry issued another jet of water into it.

Harry then took her hand and helped her up. they walked down the hall until they came to another dead end. This one had a ladder leading up. It seemed to stretch on forever.

A wall closed behind them. At the same time, water poured from holes in the walls. "Hermione, what's the spell for making a rope appear out of nowhere?"

"Don't worry about that, just climb!"

"I want us to be tied together. If one of us slips, the other can hold them up."

"Fine." Hermione yanked the wand from Harry's grasp. She conjured up a rope. Harry tied one end around his waist, the other around Hermione's. Hermione shoved the wand into the pocket of the robe. By this time the water was up to their chest. "What are you waiting for Harry?! Climb!"

Harry grabbed onto the rung of the ladder and started climbing. It seemed that the faster they climbed, the faster the water rose after them. Finally, after about an hour of climbing, they came to a trap door. Harry tried to open it. It was locked. "Hermione, pass me the wand, hurry." the water was at Hermione's waist. She passed the wand to Harry. "Alohomora." The trap door sprang open and they climbed through. They slammed it shut.

The torches burst to flame. Chained to the far wall was..."It's Ron!" exclaimed Hermione. She and Harry ran over to him. He was chained the same way Hermione was. "Alohomora!" The shackles opened. They laid Ron on the floor which was already covered in four inches of water. Harry knelt beside Ron and pointed the wand at his chest. "Enervate."

Ron noticed the water first. Harry sprang to his feet and pulled Ron up. he conjured up another rope and tied it from Ron and Hermione. He pointed his wand at the window. "Reducto!" Shards of glass and bits of stone flew outwards. They ran through the knee-deep water to the window. "Ron, you climb out onto the roof first. I'll follow you. Together we can pull Hermione out."

"Got you mate," said Ron. He crawled out the broken window and disappeared onto the roof. "I'm up Harry. Your turn." Harry climbed out of the waist deep water and onto the window sill. From there he climbed onto the roof.

"We're up Hermione, your turn," said Harry. Hermione climbed out of the neck-deep water and onto the window sill. Harry and Ron pulled their ropes taught.

She reached up and grabbed onto the roof. At that time, the pressure from the water on the weakened wall was too great. The wall burst outward. The pressure pulled on Hermione causing Harry and Ron to lose their footing. They slipped and began tumbling to the ground. "Accio Thunder Rod!" shouted Harry.

Within Seconds, the broomstick hurtled towards Darkwarts, towards its periled owner and his friends. A few seconds later it zoomed around the castle to Harry. Harry caught onto the handle. When he grabbed onto his broom, Hermione and Ron were dangling about five feet from the ground.

Harry swung onto the broom properly. "Alright down there?" he called.

"Alright," said Ron sarcastically.

"You Hermione," said Harry ignoring Ron's sarcasm.

"Just shaken up a bit. Alright otherwise," said Hermione in a shaky voice.

"Let's get back to Hogwarts,' said Ron.

"Harry can't," said Hermione, "He has one more person to rescue."

Harry flew around to the main doors of the castle and landed his Thunder rod 3000. Harry then banished his broom back to Hagrid's hut. Together Harry, Ron and Hermione made their way back to the Transfiguration classroom. Except for Hermione's shivering with cold and the reversal of directions, nothing happened on their way to the room.

"I'll have to leave again. I have to rescue the third prisoner."

"You're not going yourself, are you Harry?" asked Ron.

"Yes."

"I won't let you Harry," said Ron, "I'm coming too."

"So am I," said Hermione through chattering teeth.

"No. You two stay here. Ron, look after Hermione. Make sure she doesn't follow me."

"Harry you can't try to do everything by yourself," said Hermione.

"I rescued you by myself."

"But if it wasn't for me, you would have been crushed by that boulder."

"I don't think so. Voldemort (Ron flinched at the name.) wants to have another duel with me. He wouldn't let one of his traps kill me."

"Voldemort (Again Ron flinched.) wants you dead, Harry. However that happens, it won't matter to him."

"Hermione's right," said Ron, "and say You - Know - Who will you."

"If I'm alone only I will be killed by his traps, if that's the way it was meant to be."

"Harry Potter! Do not try to be a hero! We're coming, too, whether you like it or not!" said Hermione. Harry had never seen such a severe look on Hermione's face. All he could do was nod.

Together the trio set off down the corridor from the Transfiguration classroom. Surprisingly the hallways never shifted and no more traps appeared. They still did have to face monsters, some Death Eaters and some spells.

When they came to a T-junction they saw three pinpricks of light. "Three pinpricks of light, three Death Eaters," whispered Ron.

Harry quickly formed a plan. He was carrying one of the ropes. He handed one end to Ron and Hermione and signaled them to cross the hallway.

Harry noticed the Death Eaters split up at a junction further down the corridor; one left, one right and one straight into their trap. They pulled the rope taught. The Death Eater tripped over it and crashed headlong into the wall and was knocked out. His wand rolled to Hermione's feet. Harry pulled off the Death Eater's robes and tossed them to Hermione. "They may be big, but they're dry." He tied the Death Eater up.

Harry checked the Marauders' Map. He saw that they needed to go the way the Death Eater had come from. They charged down the corridor all the way to a locked door.

"Hermione want to do the honors?" asked Harry.

"Alohomora!" The door opened. The room beyond was filled with spider webs.

"Eurgh. It just had to be spiders," said Ron. He shivered. They then heard a rapid clicking sound. They looked left -- more webs. They looked right and saw it a huge spider.

Each leg was at least 10 feet long and ended in a threw clawed foot. The body was at least fifteen feet long and covered in shaggy black fur. In its head were eight shiny red eyes as big as dinner plates. It was clicking its three-foot long black pincers hungrily. Yellow venom dripped from the tip of each one.

All eight eyes glared down at them angrily. The spider lunged. Harry grabbed Hemione and dove to the ground. "Ron, get down!" Harry yelled. Ron dropped to the ground just in the nick of time. A clawed foot sailed over his head missing him by inches.

"Leg Locker Curse," said Hermione.

"What?" asked Harry.

"Use the Leg Locker curse on the spider," Hermione repeated.

Harry jumped to his feet. He pointed his wand at the spider. "Locomotot Mortis," he shouted. The spider's eight legs sprang together and it toppled to the ground. Harry helped Ron and Hermione get up. They ran to the far exit avoiding webs.

They almost made it. They heard a thwipping sound. The spider shot a web at them. The web wrapped around Hermione's legs and tripped her. The spider started pulling her towards it. Harry used the Severing Charm to cut the web.

The spider shuffled its body around to face them. It spit venom at him. Harry deflected the venom with a shield spell. After that the spider started shrieking. By that time Hermione had gotten free from the web. Harry balled up the webbing and threw it at the spider. He hit the mark and the ball of webbing wrapped around the spider's head.

Harry helped Hermione to her feet. They ran back to Ron. Harry grabbed Ron's arm and together they ran from the room.

They saw another lighted wand approaching. "Get against the wall," said Harry as he readied his wand. "Stupefy!" he yelled as he himself flattened against the wall.

There was a faint clatter as the Death Eater's wand clattered to the floor. They ran down the hall, past the stunned Death Eater and through another door.

This chamber looked just like Dumbledore's office. All of Hermione's teachers (or at least duplicates of them), Dumbledore, the school governors, and the Minister of Magic (Cornelius Fudge) were gathered there.

On a black pillow on a podium lay Hermione's wand, or the duplicate of it. "About time you got here, Miss Granger," said the duplicate Fudge, "The hearing to determine your eligibility to continue your magical training is about to begin."

"Excuse me, Mr. Fudge, what is this hearing about?" asked Harry.

Fudge ignored Harry and continued speaking. "Miss Granger, take the seat over there and the hearing will begin." Hermione took the seat that Fudge indicated.

Dumbledore stepped forward. "Miss Granger," he said, "You have played a practical joke that almost lead the following students to drowning in the lake; Harry Potter (Harry's jaw dropped.), Ronald Weasley, Dean Thomas, Seamus Finnigan and Neville Longbottom. How do you plead?"

"N..n..not g..g..guilty," Hermione sobbed into her hands.

"Hermione, this isn't real," said Harry. Hermione ignored Harry. "Come on Ron, help me make Hermione see that this isn't real." Harry looked at Ron and saw that he was passed out. "Enervate!' said Harry pointing his wand at Ron. Ron's eyes opened. "Ron, this vision isn't real. Hermione thinks it is. We have to make Hermione see that it isn't real!"

Together they started calling Hermione's name. About an hour later, as the fake hearing was ending they got a bit of a response from her.

As fudge stepped forward and picked up Hermione's wand, Ron grabbed her hand. Fudge started speaking. He said, "Miss Granger, it has been decided by all gathered here that you are too dangerous to further continue your magical training." Fudge started to bend the wand.

"Hermione fight it!" shouted Harry grabbing Hermione's other hand.

The scenario before them faded. "Harry, Ron!" Hermione sobbed as she threw her arms around Ron.

"It wasn't real," Ron said as he stroked Hermione's hair. After Hermione calmed down, they exited the room. It opened directly into another scenario.

This scenario was geared towards Harry himself. It showed 20 Dementors swarming around his Godfather Sirius Black. The Dementors never affected Ron, Harry or Hermione though.

Harry raised his wand. "Expecto Patronum!" Harry bellowed. Nothing happened. He tried again. Again nothing happened. Harry tried three more times. All three times there was no Patronus.

Harry threw his wand to the floor and lunged at the nearest Dementor. He flew right through it. He started to throw punches left and right. None made contact.

Ron ran and tried to restrain Harry. Wham! One of Harry punches connected hard with Ron's jaw. Harry started attacking Ron thinking he was a Dementor.

Hermione picked up Harry's discarded wand. She remembered reading about this spell. If the spell was allowed to run through to its end, the subject the spell was aimed at would go insane. "Ron, you try to get Harry to realize that this scene isn't real. I'll try to perform the counter spell!" Hermione called to Ron.

"Hurry up Hermione. When Harry's in this state, I'm no match for his fists."

Finally the scene was nearing its end. One of the fake Dementors approached Sirius. It started to lower its hood. At that moment Hermione said a few magic words and the scene faded. Harry, however, was still attacking Ron.

"I don't want to do this Harry, but I have to," said Hermione. She pointed Harry's wand toward him. "Petrificus Totalus!"

Harry's arms snapped to his sides and his legs sprang together. By that time Ron had a black eye, bleeding nose and a fat lip.

Hermione approached them. "Harry," she said calmly, "I will let you free, but first you must realize that what you saw wasn't real. Ron and I aren't Dementors. Sirius is safe somewhere in hiding. What you saw was an illusion.

Do you understand? Blink once if you do, twice if you don't." Harry blinked once and Hermione undid the Full Body Bind.

"It appeared so real," said Harry.

"As it did with me in the last room," said Hermione.

Harry sighed. They were right, he did need their help. "With the three of us it will be more difficult. Voldemort's magic will attack all three of us," said Harry.

Harry lead the way out of the room. He ran down the hallway until he came to the next set of stairs. He ran down. "Harry," panted Ron, "Where's the next prisoner?"

"Owlery."

"The Owlery is up, we're going down. Why is that?"

"The directions are reversed. Up is down, down is up and so on," Harry replied.

"Oh." Harry pulled out the Marauders' Map. He noticed that they were down the Arithmancy corridor. Harry was completely lost. He had never been down this corridor before.

"Hermione we're down the Arithmancy corridor. I have no idea where to go from here. Can you lead us?" he asked.

"Of course." Hermione took lead of the trio. She lead them to the next set of stairs. She lead them down. This staircase ended in a door. Hermione tried it. It was locked.

Ron looked through the window. It was pitch black inside. Hermione used the Alohomora charm and unlocked the door. Once inside Harry lit the torches. they were in the Owlery "How did we get here so fast?" asked Ron.

"Rooms move," replied Hermione.

Harry looked around to see who he had to rescue. Harry saw Cho hanging from one of the perches. She was hanging by her wrists from a rope. "Hermione, I'll grab her legs, you use the severing charm on the rope," Harry said.

"Okay." Harry ran up and grabbed Cho's legs. Severum Rope!" called Hermione. The rope was cut and Cho fell into Harry's arms.

"Is she okay?" asked Hermione.

"Just stunned, like you and Ron were," Harry replied. He laid Cho on the ground and untied her arms. He then took his wand back from Hermione. He pointed it at Cho. "Enervate!" he said.

Cho blinked a couple of times and sat up. "Where am I?" she asked.

"Darkwarts Castle," answered Harry.

"What's that?"

"Long story. Come on let's get out of here," said Ron.

Harry helped Cho to her feet. They ran from the Owlery all the way back to the Transfiguration classroom.

Once they made it there, there was a blinding flash. They found themselves in a dungeon. They were surrounded by Death Eaters. Just outside of the circle of Death Eaters Nagini circled them.

There was another flash as Voldemort appeared two feet in between them and the Death Eaters. "Well Potter," Voldemort snarled, "I see you made it safely around my castle. Oh well, I like this better. I get to finish you off myself."

"Let my friends go!" Harry demanded.

"Why should I do that?"

"It's me you want! They have nothing to do with this! Let them go!"

"I will not, Potter."

"I won't fight you until you release them!"

"I admire your loyalty. I will let them go. Malfoy!"

"Yes, Lord Voldemort?"

"Take these three back to where they came from." Voldemort indicated to Hermione, Cho and Ron.

"But Master...."

"Crucio!" Lucius Malfoy fell to the ground writhing in pain. After he finished twitching, he stumbled to his feet. "Next time I give you an order, you will follow it. Won't you Malfoy?"

"Y...yes Lord Voldemort," said Lucius Malfoy as he bowed. He conjured up three ropes. One tied him to each Hermione, Ron, and Cho. Lucius then Disapparated.

"I need to see that they're safe," demanded Harry.

"Fine." Voldemort waved his hands and a mysterious wall of energy appeared before him. In this energy Harry could see what Lucius was doing. He saw Cho's house in the background. He saw Lucius untie Cho and saw Cho enter her house.

Lucius then Disapparated. He was in front of another house that had to be Hermione's. He saw Lucius untie Hermione and Ron and watched them enter the house. He saw Lucius Disapparate from there.

There was a popping noise as Lucius reappeared in the circle of Death Eaters. "Just you and I Voldemort," said Harry, "No Death Eaters, no snake!"

"Bravery, your father had it too. It was a pity I had to destroy him. Leave us!" Voldemort bellowed. He waved his hand. The Death Eaters Disapparated with popping noises, and the snake slithered through a hole in the wall. "Let's do this properly, Harry Potter. Bow!"

Harry tipped his head but kept his eyes focused on Voldemort. "Good enough!" Voldemort raised his wand. "Expeliarmus!" Voldemort was sent flying backwards. His wand landed beside him. Voldemort reached for his wand. "Accio Wand!" Voldemort's wand flew towards Harry. Harry reached out his hand and caught it.

"Wingardium Leviosa!" shouted Harry as he swished and flicked both hands. Voldemort rose so fast he smashed into the ceiling. Harry swung his hands right and watched Voldemort smash into the wall. He then swung his hands left and did the same. He then did the same to the front and the back. Harry then bounced Voldemort between the floor and the ceiling a couple of times. After that he spun the wands in a circle and watched Voldemort spin in the air. Harry then ended the spell and watched Voldemort crash to the ground in a heap. "From this point on Voldemort," Harry bellowed, "you will deal with me and leave my friends alone!"

To finish off, Harry snapped Voldemort's wand over his knee. There was a flash and Harry found himself standing outside. The night was clear with a full moon shining brightly. Voldemort was nowhere to be seen. Harry still carried the broken pieces of Voldemort's wand though. Harry shoved the broken pieces in his pocket and pulled out his own wand. "Accio Thunder Rod!" Harry's broom flew to his side.

Harry mounted his broom and flew back to Hogwarts. He landed outside of the main doors. He pushed them open and ran down the hallways to the statue of the stone gargoyle. "Chocolate Frogs," Harry panted.

The gargoyle moved to the side. Harry got onto the moving staircase. He came to the oak door and knocked. "Come in," called Dumbledore Harry opened the door. "Ah Harry. Where were you?" he asked in a calm voice.

"Voldemort kidnapped me. He also kidnapped Ron, Hermione and Cho. I assume we were in the castle I told you about. I rescued them and then fought another duel against him. I won!

After beating Voldemort, the castle disappeared. I then came back to Hogwarts."

"Again, Harry, you have shouldered a grown wizard's burden and found yourself superior to it. I am impressed greatly."

"Dumbledore, I have to get my books for my Wand Making course. Tomorrow I will take the portkey to Diagon Alley to get them.

I am exhausted. I will go to my dorm now and get some sleep. Good night Dumbledore."

"Good night Harry." Harry left Dumbledore's office and returned to Gryffindor Tower. He went up to the boys dorms and changed into his pajamas. He crawled into his four poster bed and went right to sleep.

The next day Harry got up around 10:00. He got dressed and went down to the great hall. He had four bowls of porridge, five glasses of pumpkin juice, and about a dozen slices of toast as he was starving. He never had lunch or supper the previous day.

After eating he returned to the boys dorms. He pulled the portkey from the drawer in his bedside table. He thought of the small courtyard of the Leaky Cauldron. He was transported there immediately. Portkey was not Harry's favorite way to travel, but it was better than Floo Powder.

He tapped the secret brick with his wand and watched the archway open up. He went to Flourish and Blotts to look for 'Wand Making Made Easy' by none other than Oliver Ollivander. Once he paid for it, he exited the shop. He wandered down the street.

He entered a shop he'd never been into before. It had all sorts of Wizarding gadgets in it. Most of them were used to repair or enhance a wand's performance. In this shop he bought some glue to fix Voldemort's broken wand and also found a handle that branched out and could hold two wands. He could now use two wands in one hand.

The following Monday Harry's summer courses began. In Wand Making, in order to pass, each student had to create a fully functional wand. The magical cores and the wood was provided by Professor Ollivander.

Harry used one of each core; dragon heartstring, unicorn hair, and phoenix tail feather (Fawkes donated Harry's) in his wand. He also used three types of wood to form the shell of his wand; oak, willow, and ash.

Professor Ollivander gave Harry extra marks for being brave enough to attempt this. He told Harry that he had never dared to mix magical cores before and warned him that such a wand, if in the wrong hands could be used for great evil. "I will keep it somewhere safe until I am sure that I will need it," Harry replied.

Harry also used the last chapter in Wand Making Made Easy which told how to repair a broken wand to repair Voldemort's wand in case he needed to use it later.

Will Harry ever need to use Voldemort's wand? Will he ever need to use the wand he made?" Please keep reading my fic to find out.

Harry also passed his other courses with nearly top marks. For that he received credits for Transfiguration and Charms. Harry would not need to take them and would have two extra spares during the upcoming school year.
