Tessa Rose, a red head with waist length hair, walked through the halls of Hogwarts heading for her charms class. She turned a corner and ran straight into Harry Potter, "The Boy Who Lived".

"Oh my god! I am so sorry!" She looked like a lost puppy, with her baby blue eyes brimming with tears.

"That's..." Harry started to say something but was cut off when Tessa got up and ran. Harry looked after her and shrugged. He grabbed his stuff, and left hers on the floor in case she came back, and then he headed to class.

Tessa Rose ran upstairs to her dormitory and flung herself onto her four-poster bed. She buried her face in her pillow and began sobbing hysterically.

"Are you okay?" A voice from the bed next to hers said quietly.

Tessa Rose picked herself up from her pillow and looked around. Then she saw Parvati Patil, another Gryffindor. She was sitting on her bed with wide eyes, staring at her "I'm fine. What are you doing here Parvati? You should be in class."

"So should you," Parvati snapped back.

"Sorry, you most likely don't know who I am, do you?" Tessa smiled at her, already knowing the answer. No one knew who she was, except the teachers. She had no friends. None at all.

"No, not really. Sorry." She smiled apologetically. "I don't pay much attention when I'm in the dormitory. I get dressed and leave. How is it that you know who I am?"

"I'm Tessa Rose, but I like to be called Tessa, and I know who everyone is, but no one knows who I am. I know you because you were the one who made a rumor about me. You know, the one about me being anorexic." She smiled, knowing she had just embarrassed Parvati.

Parvati blushed and smiled apologetically. "Sorry. I like to gossip, I was getting short on it and..."

"It's okay. We should probably be getting to class now." Tessa jumped up and ran out of the dormitory.

"Oh yeah!" Parvati jumped up and ran after Tessa Rose. "Wait for me!"

"PSST!"

"Huh?" Tessa was awakened by Parvati, during History of Magic. "What is it?"

"Here!" Parvati passed her a note, and Tessa grabbed it. It was folded in half, and in half again. It said Tessa Rose on the front in beautiful cursive. Parvati must practice her cursive a lot to get this good at it! she thought as she looked the note once again. She unfolded the note carefully and began to read.

Tessa,

Lavender and I want to introduce you to all the Gryffindors. I told Lavender all about you, she says you sound so cool. Meet us in the dormitory at 10:00 and we'll fix up your hair and put on make-up and all that other stuff. I'm sure everyone will like you!

See you then,

Parvati

Tessa Rose smiled and hugged the note closer to her. I might actually make some friends! She thought to herself. Oh, if only she knew how wrong she was.
