Ch.1
As Draco watched the rain pound on his window outside, an instant replay of his fifth year at Hogwarts, which was his most recent, started to play in his mind. As it seemed to the Wizarding World, it was the most unbelievable year Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry had seen in a very long time. Draco despised his father for putting all of the Death Eater mistakes on Draco's shoulders. Draco replayed the last time he had seen that scum half-blood, Harry Potter, in Draco's words.
He still felt the hatred that was bound between him and Harry. Harry "The Scum of the Earth" Potter had told the whole Wizarding World that Draco's father, Lucius Malfoy and Draco's friends, Crabbe and Goyle's fathers were Death Eaters. Draco wanted so badly to torture Harry the way he had done to Draco. . . Draco's life would now be a living hell at school from the teachers, and students that were not in Slytherin.
No one could imagine Draco having feelings but deep inside Draco hid things no one could possibly imagine . . . things that would probably kill others. Draco had no clue how he survived his secret, especially his secret was physical wise and since it was still going. Draco had feelings that no one could ever know about, and if they did Draco would be the laughing stock at Hogwarts. Draco would lose his most prized possession the thing that kept him going when he was at the edge of death. . . His beautiful Hermione.
Yes, Draco acted like a big shot, a bully, a show off, and a jerk, but that was only to hide his real feelings. Draco knew Hermione would never accept him as true person with real feelings, and he knew that everyone thought he would follow in his father's footsteps as a Death Eater. What Draco didn't know is how he had ever ended up with the life he had, and the secret he had to keep.

"Draco!" called Lucius Malfoy. Draco's thoughts were shattered into a million pieces and as he heard his father's angry voice. His heart began to pound faster and faster with each sharpened breath he took in; he knew what was coming. Draco headed down the stairs of his polished oak wood staircase, with each stee took his breath grew shorter and his heart grew louder. By the time he was down the stairs and on the Japanese rug that was spread throughout Draco's long and wide living room, he felt as if his heart was actually going to burst out of his white pale skin. "I have no idea where those scuffs came from father," Draco finally said as he answered his father.
"YOU KNOW GOD DAMN WELL WHERE THOSE SCUFFS CAME FROM YOU LITTLE!" Lucius Malfoy screamed at his only son, which was when the first hit struck Draco's face. Before another hit could escape from his father's raging fists, Draco took flight to the stairs, almost tripping over on a stair while tasting his own cool blood from his lip.
Draco charmed his door to seal shut so his father could not beat him, at least for now. He knew he would pay badly for this later but he couldn't stand to see his father's face right now. As Lucius pounded his door, Draco headed for his large extravagant bathroom which was carpeted in very royal red; his shower curtain was silk red on the outside and red plastic on the inside, and a huge mirror hung over his two marble sinks.
Draco looked at his new fresh swollen lip to add with his yesterday's beating (which was based on not doing his chores the exact way Lucius wanted it), a black eye. Why could no one know about this secret? Why did Draco have to keep quiet about his abuse? Even though Draco knew he did nothing wrong, he still had to take the beatings. His everyday beatings began after his third year at Hogwarts. It was still a mystery to Draco about why it had started, but he thought that it was most likely from Sirius Black escaping on a tight rope in the end of his third year. This was Draco's deep secret. . .
