Author's Note:
Well, you tell me. Draco/Harry, Snape/Lucius, or Lucius/James. I wasn't sure exactly who it was either, beyond the fact that one of the pair is a Malfoy, when I started writing it..... Now I just challenge others to figure it out.

He watched his lover walk away, still reeling with the shock. His expression became one of hurt and anger, and he turned away, stalking away, going back to his dorm, to sprawl out on the bed, and cried himself to sleep.

You could be my silver spring
Blue-green colors flashing

He dreamed of beautiful, pale blue-green eyes, like gems under the water, flashing with passion. They had snuck out, and were curled together by a small spring they'd found, entwined after lovemaking.
"If they find out, the whole school will be shocked." He loved the sound of his lover's voice, cool and dry, with a hint of sarcastic wit.
"I don't care." He pulled his lover closer, their lips meeting in a gentle, teasing kiss. They both knew how dangerous the game they played was. If they got caught, there was worse than the school's ridicule to deal with.
His lover pulled him closer, and they fell back against their spread cloaks, making love until the sun began to set.

I would be your only dream
Your shining on oceans crashing

"Did you think of me?" It'd been a long summer, too long, and they couldn't send owls back and forth. His lover's father read all his mail first.
"Mm-hm." The blond was nuzzling his neck, finding the sensitive spot behind his ear, and nibbling. "Miss me?"
A moan was his only reply, and his lover chuckled, pulling him closer. The moon shone down on them as they kissed, and renewed their knowledge of each other's bodies.

And did you say she was pretty
And did you say that she loves you
Baby, I don't want to know

He woke up with a start, tears streaming from his eyes. He snarled, punching the pillow as if it was to blame for his problems. His lover had left him, for another. A woman.
*She's pretty, she's wealthy, she's his parent's choice for him. And she says she loves him. How can she love him as much as I do? How can she possibly love the man behind the facade? And how could he think she would make a good choice for him? She has nothing, compared to me!*
He growled with anger, shredding the pillow, tossing the remains around the room. His friends would probably pick up the remains, and get him a new one. They had always done that before, when he'd had fights with his lover.

I begin not to love you
Turn around and see me running

The next few weeks were hard, seeing his lover everyday, in a class, at meals. He'd turn and go the other direction if he saw him coming. His heart burned with anger and pain, more when he saw his lover with the girl who he was now engaged to. The woman who'd stolen his lover away. His love slowly turned to hatred, and he began to stalk them, his heart deadening to everything else but their mutual pain.

I said I loved you years ago
I tell myself you never loved me, no

*He never loved me. I was just a plaything, an amusement!* His thoughts were filled with his pain. He'd truely loved the other man, thought he'd been loved in return. *Like everyone else, he only saw me for my looks, or for my fame. Never for me.*

And can tell me was it worth it
Really I don't want to know

"Was it worth it?" His voice was a whisper. They'd both been out after the curfew, and run into each other in the hall. "Was she worth loosing me?"
The blond looked down his nose at him. "Yes." His eyes were cold, distant, aloof. They said he didn't care.
He glared a moment, before stalking away. He had been nothing to the other man. Absolutely nothing.

Time cast a spell on you,
That you won't forget me
I know I could have loved you
But you would not let me

He watched his ex-lover with the girl everyday, weaving a spell. He'd found it on a midnight run to the library, a piece of Dark Arts. The other man would never forget him, not until he died. He had loved him, but never again. He couldn't, wouldn't allow himself. Ever.

I'll follow you down till
The sound of my voice will haunt
Was I just a fool!
You'll never get away from the sound
Of the person that loved you

He made sure he was always there, were his lover could here him. He hoped the other man heard his voice in his dreams. He knew he still did, he'd never get away from it. *Fool! He'll forget you, unlike everyone else. You'll be nothing more than another one of his conquests before he settled down with a respectable woman...* He cut off that line of thought, unable to stand the pain.

You'll never get away
Never get away
Never get away
You could be my silver spring
Blue-green colors flashing

"You'll never get away from me." His voice was a whisper as he passed by his lover on his way out of the room. "Never."
*He could have been everything to me. I never would have left him, never would have treated him badly. I pray he learns to hate her. Like I hate him.*
