Bellatrix was nearly suffocating me in the thick bundle of dress up clothes from the attic. I drew in a deep gulp of air as my little blonde head popped out of the top of a rather frilly pink dress.

"There." Bella looked me over, her hands resting resolutely on her hips. "Now, you can be the little baby."

My vibrant blue eyes welled up with tears. "B-b-but, I don't wanna be the baby!"

I angrily plopped down on a soft patch of grass on our favourite hillock outside our house. Make believe was always Bella's favourite game to play.

"Whatever, Cissy. It doesn't matter." She turned to find the others digging in the pile of old cloaks and clothes. "Andromeda, you're the nurse. You can look over Cissy."

"Bella..." She whined and dragged her feet to where I was weeping silently. "I'm never the mother..."

"Regulus, you're Cissy's little brother." She picked up the dark-haired child picking at the long grass and placed him defiantly into Andromeda's arms.

"And Sirius." The handsome eight-year old boy turned from rummaging through the clothes. Bella fluttered her eyes coyly. "You're my husband."

Sirius dropped the cloak he was holding, and grumbled as he joined our family circle.

"There!" She tossed her long jet black hair over shoulder and grasped Sirius' hand. "What a nice family!" She paused, waiting for the game to begin. "Andromeda, go clean Regulus' nappie! Cissy, go brush your ugly hair!"

I grabbed my brush and began to comb my hair, mumbling furiously to myself. I turned my head to find Bella trying to seduce our poor cousin with her fluttering lashes. I snickered rudely as Sirius rolled his eyes and cringed. Regulus was screaming in Andromeda's arms. Bella will never change.

"Come, Cissy! I can't be late!" Bellatrix's deep voice hissed from the entrance hall.

I ran a brush quickly through my soft, long blonde hair, and grabbed a large hooded cloak from my plush armchair as I rushed from my room. I hated being in a hurry.

"The Dark Lord..." Bella whispered fiercely as I sprinted down the creaking stairs.

"...Does not wait! I know!" I wrapped myself in the heavy cloak and slipped through the front door with my sister.

I paused for a moment to glance up at the velvet night sky pierced with silver shimmers of light. I was always fascinated by nature's beauty, especially at night. My sister's warm, firm hand grasped mine and pulled me from my daze.

"I can't believe mum and dad left me with you! Cissy! Come on! We have to leave now!"

Bella and I concealed ourselves in the heavy cloaks, and vanished from sight.

***

"Your late," a high-pitched, bone-tingling voice moaned irritably.

Bella bent down, kissed her Master's feet, and then returned to her respected spot within the circle of Death Eaters with me trailing by her side. I recognized the figure, but had never seen him with my own eyes. I was always 'too young.'

"I'm sorry, Master. It will not happen again," Bella replied uneasily.

"Narcissa is your responsibility, Bella. Seeing as your younger sister is not a loyal follower of mine. You must not fail me again." His cold, scaled hand grabbed Bella's shoulder harshly.

She shivered violently and nodded. "No, my Lord, never again."

"Lucius?" The tall, hooded figure turned to face another Death Eater standing in the circle.

"Yes, Master?" a cool male voice drawled.

"Lucius, you must watch Narcissa, and take care she does not share our secrets." His cold voice was mingled with fury. "Since Bella cannot keep her own sister at home!" His anger rose, and a horrified shudder ran through the circle.

I could hear my sister's erratic breathing. She was terrified.

"Of course, my Lord," he said, his voice muffled by his Death Eater's cloak.

The meeting continued slowly. The Death Eaters rarely spoke, and listened silently as the hooded creature lectured. The air was cold, but I felt that the presence of this sorcerer that my family honoured and worshipped so deeply caused even my heart to go numb. Bella had dragged me here unwillingly, but our parents were away, working secretly for the Dark Lord, and Andromeda was off with some Muggle boy again.

The dark figures were Disapparating with tiny pops as I grasped Bella hand reassuringly. It was cold and wet with nervous sweat. A cloaked figure approached us.

"Well done, Bella. The Dark Lord was thrilled with your little game." I recognized the male voice as Lucius'.

"Piss off, Malfoy," she murmured fearfully.

"I can't, Bella. I have to watch over your lovely sister, Narcissa." He stroked my shoulder sedately. My stomach fluttered. "Come, come, young Cissy. Lucius won't hurt you." His voice was saturated with sarcasm.

The dark, sinister forest was quiet. Everyone had left.

"Mum and dad are going to kill me for this," Bellatrix muttered angrily. "Not if the Dark Lord kills me first." She grabbed my arm firmly and led me to an open patch of dark, wet grass. Lucius followed. "What are you doing, Malfoy?"

"Following the Dark Lord's orders. Seeing as he can no longer trust you to," he replied irritably.

Bella huffed and vanished with Lucius and me by her side.

"You call this a house?" Lucius declared obnoxiously as he removed his cloak and mask and tossed them onto the sofa in the parlour.

"It's an ancient mansion, Malfoy. Just like you're bloody house." Bella followed suit and dropped into a comfy armchair near the fireplace.

Just as I began to unclasp my heavy cloak that was beginning to choke me, I glanced at the man named Lucius Malfoy. He was handsome. An attractive smirk graced his long, elegant face that was framed by locks of platinum blonde pulled into a ponytail resting softly on the nape of his neck. He was slender, I noticed, but strong. His cold grey eyes caught my wandering gaze.

"Bella, I think your sister needs some help," he teased, leaning coolly on the mantle.

I quickly threw off my cloak before my older sister could help me, and I looked back at Lucius. When I caught him staring at me, I looked down, embarrassed.

Lucius stared at my young face. My light blue eyes were hidden beneath long golden lashes and my rosy lips parted into a coy smile. I could see Lucius' knees weaken as his eyes traced the flow of my blonde hair draped over my slim form. Bella coughed to break the awkward silence.

"Well, I'll go get some elf wine from the cellar, then." She left the room with a swish of her long ebony hair.

"I never really noticed you when we were in school," Lucius began, still staring at me. "Bella spoke of you, but I never..."

"I remember you. You were five years ahead of me," I spoke mechanically, afraid of his piercing gaze.

I strolled over to the sofa and tried to drape myself attractively on the pillows. I had had a large crush on the young Lucius Malfoy when I was just a teenager, and hadn't forgotten his charming face.

I noticed Lucius shiver slightly as my annoying skirt glided higher up my thigh when I unpleasantly tried to find a comfortable position. He shook himself from his trance, and moved to place himself next to me.

I felt my heart beat hard against the cavity of my chest. I tried to control the fluttering feeling residing in my abdomen.

"Your...eighteen, then? Right?" Lucius seemed to be trying to calm himself, but his hands stroked his thighs nervously.

"Yes." I looked at him demurely though my curtain of soft, blonde hair. I couldn't control myself any longer.

I heard him moan with pleasure as I unexpectedly threw myself onto Lucius' warm body. Our lips met, and I began to smother him with kisses. He held my waist firmly, pulling me closer to his excited body. I felt his muscles tighten as he pushed me backwards onto the sofa with surprising strength. I signed and wrapped my legs around him. Wisps of his hair tickled my face, and I smiled as his hand wandered beneath my shirt. An expensive musky aroma filled my nose as I breathed deeply, feeling Lucius' heavy weight upon myself. I hastened to unbutton his shirt and stroked his gleaming chest; my fingertips playing seductively with his nipples. I felt his lips crack into a smirk as he continued to kiss my neck. Just as his knee grazed my inner thighs, a horrified gasp came from the doorway.

"CISSY!" Her dark eyes were wide with anger as she glared at each of us in turn. "LUCIUS!" Her eyes narrowed and she growled, "GET OFF MY SISTER YOU DIRTY PRAT!"

Lucius hastily removed himself from the sofa and strolled quickly to the mantle again. His hair was a mess, his face red, and his shirt ripped open, exposing his bare chest. I quickly attempted to pull myself together and reposition myself on the couch.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU!" Bella's face was red with anger as she turned her gaze toward me. "YOU SLUT! GET OUT OF HERE! GET OUT!" She ran toward me, absolutely livid. "MUM AND DAD WILL KILL YOU!"

Frightened, I jumped from the sofa and ran to Lucius' protective embrace. Tears raced down my warm cheeks.

"GET AWAY FROM HERE, MALFOY! AND TAKE MY DIRTY SISTER WITH YOU!" she screamed, tears welling up in her eyes.

Lucius drew his wand, threateningly. His gaze was strong.

Bella looked down, ashamed. She collapsed onto the floor and began to sob. Lucius' hold on me weakened, and his wand arm dropped. He bent low to touch Bella's shoulder.

"GET OFF ME!" she screamed hysterically.

"Bella, what's wrong?" Lucius asked, confused with her strange behaviour.

"Can't you see, Lucius?" Her voice was quiet and broken through her tears. Her tearstained face looked up into his face. "I love you. I always have."

"What?" I was stunned, and by the look on Lucius' face, I wasn't the only one. I had no idea.

"Just leave me...alone." Bella continued to weep softly. I had never seen my older sister cry. She was always the bold and confident one, and I was always weak and powerless.

There was a silence where no one spoke. The fire crackled and the light within the room shimmered with the dancing flames. Lucius grasped my wrist and pulled himself upright. He began to pull me from the room, but I couldn't tear my eyes away from my sister's sad, crumpled form on the floor. I stopped and wrenched my arm from Lucius' grip.

"Narcissa..." he whispered.

"Wait."

I crept quietly back to my sister and bent low to kiss her dark head. Bella shuddered and continued to cry as I left our house with Bella's one, secret love, Lucius Malfoy, by my side.

***

Our love was kept secret. Well, Bella knew of course, but she didn't tell anyone in fear of revealing her own secret to our strict, old fashioned pureblood family. Besides, she was already betrothed to Rodolphus Lestrange, a dark-haired, handsome man with a dangerous temper. At the rare times I caught her eye when I visited our house, her dark, hooded eyes were sad. She was burdened with grief, and I felt guilty for it. No, it's not your fault. Be strong, Narcissa Black, be the true Slytherin and Black that you are.

***

"Cissy..." a deep, rich voice whispered softly in my ear. "Narcissa, my love. Run away with me."

My eyes fluttered open, and I recognized the dark outline of Lucius hovered over my once slumbering form. His teeth glittered as he smiled down onto my face.

"Lucius?" I replied, my voice just barely above a whisper. "Lucius, what are you doing here?"

"Narcissa." His large, warm hands found my delicate fingers. "I love you."

"Lucius." My consciousness was returning gradually. "This is ridiculous. Get out, before my parents..."

His lips silenced me as he held my face and kissed me softly. "That's why we must escape, Cissy. We must be together."

I pulled away from my desire to kiss him back. "No. Lucius, you're being unreasonable."

My bed groaned as he placed himself beside me. "Narcissa, you're betrothed to Antonin Dolohov. If you marry him, then we can no longer see each other like this. Is that what you want?" Fear shimmered in his grey eyes.

"No, Lucius," I murmured. "Of course not."

"Then we must leave!" His voice rose as he tugged at my arm, pulling me upright.

"I can't dishonour my family name, Lucius. I must marry Antonin." I turned my face away, my long hair hiding my shame.

"Your family name?" He released his grasp on my arm in sudden surprise. "Narcissa Black cares about her family name?"

'Long live the noble and most ancient house of Black. Remember that, my little Cissy. Tujours Pur. Always pure.' My father's low, resonant voice echoed in my mind. I looked back at Lucius' saddened face.

"I can't Lucius. I just...can't."

He paused, pondering my response. "You don't love me then?" Anger was etched in his handsome face, and his voice was rising.

"Of course I do, Lucius! I do love you!" My hands felt wet with worry as I stroked his pale cheek.

"Then why..." His anger calmed from the touch of my soft finger on his face.

I tumbled back onto my warm bed, pulling him with me. His face stopped inches from mine. "Not now, Lucius, my love. We will worry about marriage when time urges us to. But not now."

He smiled and bowed his head to kiss me gently. He pulled away and slowly removed his tailcoat, bow, and waistcoat. He kissed my forehead as I fumbled with the buttons on his shirt. His bare chest gleamed, and I felt my face glow hot with desire. His shoes thumped to the floor as he kicked them off hastily. I no longer could resist myself, and rolled to push him beneath me. He looked up, surprised at my sudden strength, and his white-blonde hair began to fall out of its clean ponytail. I smiled seductively and removed his pants quickly. I sighed deeply at I lowered myself onto his naked body. He grasped the fringe of my lacy silk negligee and pulled it above my head. We moaned with pleasure as our warm bodies moulded together. He rolled again with great force, pushing me beneath him. I grabbed his shoulders firmly, my nails digging into his skin. I giggled at our family motto: Tujours Pur. Yeah right, Black's are never pure.

Lucius nestled his sweat-drenched face between my breasts. "Cissy, I love you."

I wound his soft hair around my finger. "I love you too, Lucius."

We slept there, our bodies entangled together, warmed by our own love and desire.

***

Bella pushed me hard onto my four poster bed. "Cissy! You slut!"

"What?! Bella, what are you talking about?!" I yelled, frightened of her furious mood.

"You're always sick! You've been eating more! Don't tell me you haven't noticed!" she screamed at my weak form leaning against the bed.

"What are you...?" Comprehension washed over my face. Oh my god. No, it can't be. No!

Bellatrix rushed to my side and hissed fiercely into my ear, "Cissy, you bitch, you're pregnant!"

A turned away, confused and scared. No, I can't be.

She slapped my face, tears rushing down her face. "How could you?! And Lucius!"

My face stung from her ferocious rage and tears drenched my cheeks. "Bella! I can't be pregnant! I'm betrothed..."

"Yeah? Well poor Dolohov! He won't want to marry some sultry slut!" Bella was pacing my room, waving her arms hysterically.

I had crumpled to floor, covering my tear-stained face. "Oh god, Bella! I don't know what to do! I need your help! Please, Bella, please."

My voiced squeaked with terror. Bella stopped pacing and looked at my helpless body. She placed her warm hand upon my shoulder, and I looked weakly into her face. Her mouth quivered into a smile.

"Run away, Cissy," she murmured. "Leave mum and dad to me. Just go to Lucius in Wiltshire."

I hugged her. "Thank you, Bella, thank you."

She helped me up, and we gathered my things and quickly stuffed them into a small trunk.

I hugged her again. "Bye, Bellatrix. Say goodbye to Andromeda for me." I sniffled softly. "I love you, Bella."

I released her and turned to Disaparate as her dark eyes filled with tears. "Goodbye, Narcissa."

***

"Lucius?" I looked up at the large, extravagant Malfoy mansion. I had never seen it before, but this was now my new home. "Lucius?" I was tired and needed to rest, so I turned to sit on the stone veranda.

"Narcissa?" The heavy ebony door creaked open and an incredulous voice echoed from within the house. "Cissy? Is that...is that you?"

I jumped up suddenly and dropped my trunk to run into my lover's welcoming embrace. He hugged me hard and when he found my face, kissed me feverishly. When he released me, a wide smile crossed his face.

"Narcissa! What are doing here?"

I looked away, ashamed of my condition. "Lucius, I'm pregnant."

His smiled faded. "You're what?"

"Pregnant, Lucius."

"I...I don't know what to say..." He turned away, pacing in his vast, exquisitely detailed entrance hall flickering in the light of many candle chandeliers.

"Well you could agree to marry me, Lucius," I began, feeling uneasy.

He swivelled on his heel. "Marry you? But, Narcissa, I thought..."

"I ran away to live with you, didn't I?"

"You mean..."

"Yes, Lucius. I want to marry you."

He stopped, dumbstruck. I smiled calmly.

He rushed to hold me again and buried his face into my hair. "Oh Narcissa!"

***

Our marriage was small, but incredibly beautiful. Lucius Malfoy was wealthy, and he had no problem showing it.

Young maids and house elves bustled about, helping me into my dress and veil. When they finally finished, they pushed me in front of a long, floor-length mirror.

"Oh my! You look so beautiful Miss!"

"Oh Master Malfoy will love you!"

"He already does, you dolt!"

"Ahhh...Master Malfoy is such a dream, if it's not to bold to say!"

When the ladies finally quieted, I took in my stunning image. My creamy breasts were pushed up firmly from the top of my strapless dress. The diamond-encrusted corset caused my slim waist to taper elegantly into the full bottom of the pure white dress, and the long train was riddled with glittering diamonds too. My pale shoulders and arms were bare, except for the extravagant diamond necklace that graced my neck. My blonde hair hung freely in loose curls that flowed softly down my back. A diamond and emerald crown nestled atop my head with a sheer veil that streamed down behind me. I giggled slightly. Wealthy purebloods just love to show off their wealth.

Spring flowers were blooming outside Lucius' beautiful home, and the birds were chirping joyously. The dew on the grass glittered in the warm sunlight. I smiled brightly as I caught sight of Lucius' handsomely dressed figure. He caught my glance and his mouth dropped. I snickered to myself. Luckily I'm not too far along in my pregnancy.

***

"LUCIUS!" I screamed in absolute pain. "MORE BLOODY PILLOWS, LUCIUS!"

I had been in labour for over three hours, and Lucius had been running around retrieving the things I asked for. For me, the use of his wand just wasn't quick enough.

He entered the bedroom laden with pillows and panting. I screamed and squeezed the hand of the mediwitch as another contraction tore at my swelled abdomen.

"Oh my goodness! The baby's seems eager to come out!" The mediwitch exclaimed and rushed to place her hands between my opened legs.

Lucius hastened to my side and held my hand warmly. He winced as I crushed his hand, ready to push this baby from my body.

Sweat poured down my hot and furious face. I pushed and pushed, feeling the place between my legs stretch and tear in immense pain. Soon I gave into crying, and Lucius bent low to kiss my hand comfortingly. I felt a sudden release, and then a piercing high-pitched squeal.

The mediwitch hastily cleaned the baby and wrapped it in cloth, the shrill cry echoing throughout the mansion.

"Narcissa! It's a boy!" Lucius carried the shrieking infant to my breast, and it instantly calmed.

His face was pale with beautiful blue-grey eyes and wisps of platinum blonde hair graced his crown. I smiled down at the charming face, and he cooed softly.

"Draco," I whispered. "My little Draco."

***

It was a cool, crisp autumn morning on the first day of November. I sat, quite content with myself, on a comfortable chair on our stone veranda, watching my tiny Draco play with his new friends. I smiled as I witnessed him tug at his handsome little jade and silver suit. A rather large infant with a pudding bowl haircut sat next to him, attempting to help my son undo the bow under his chin. Another child with small, beady eyes began pushing off a hopeful looking young girl from Draco. My Draco is so popular.

"Vincent! Let go of poor little Draco!" a resonant voice called from my side, and Vincent Crabbe's mother rushed to grab her son.

"Gregory, it's not nice to push around purebloods!" And Gregory Goyle's rather tall mother ran to fetch her son.

"I think Pansy really fancies Draco, Narcissa," a dark-haired, sour-faced woman declared from across the small round table that was laden with teas and cakes. "I wonder about their future together." She smiled wickedly.

"Lucius favours his son, and I'm not sure who he plans on marrying Draco to, Iris." I smiled as I continued to watch the young girl lay in Draco's lap and fiddle with the buttons of his suit.

A sharp CRACK pulled me from my reverie. A turned to find Lucius, still dressed in his dark cloak and mask, rushing from the front door of our house.

"Narcissa!" He ripped off his mask to show a very worried and scared face. "Narcissa! The Dark Lord is gone! The Potters! He has vanished!"

Lucius had told me of a certain prophecy relating to the Dark Lord just days before, and he had been troubled ever since. He hugged me tightly as the women around the table began to whisper breathlessly to each other.

"Cissy, I don't know what we should do!" He held me close, his heart beating frantically. "I mean, he's gone!"

"Lucius, we can continue as we are." I rubbed his back comfortingly; fear welling up inside me too. "Fudge...get on his good side, Lucius. You can do that. Don't worry, we'll work in secret."

"But what about..." He pulled away, to look frightfully in my eyes.

"Don't worry about Dumbledore...he'll be finished soon enough." I smiled deviously.

***

No, no, no! How could this be? With Lucius in Azkaban and now my son! My only son! Draco!

I tossed and turned in my empty bed, seeking comfort, but finding none. I bawled and screamed, punching angrily at my pillows.

"Mother?" came a quiet voice from the doorway.

I turned to find my son, just barely sixteen, peeking into my bedroom with a fearful look upon his face.

My crying diminished to shuddering breaths. And I collapsed onto the bed.

Draco rushed to my side. "Mother? Mother!"

He shook me gently, and my eyes fluttered open. I smiled weakly through my tears.

"Draco." I hugged him warmly and rocked him back and forth. "Oh, my Draco."

Tears welled up in my eyes again. But when a sudden thought came to my mind, I released him quickly and began to pace the room anxiously, muttering to myself.

"Mother?"

I stopped, and turned to face my son. "Draco, I need your aunt, Bella."

"No! You can't share the Dark Lord's plans with anyone!" He stomped his foot in anger.

"Draco, my love, I must find help!" I held his shoulders firmly and looked kindly into his eyes.

"NO! I must obey the Dark Lord! I can do this on my own, mother! I don't need anyone's help!" He jerked himself from my grasp and strolled furiously from my room.

"Lucius! I need you! Oh Lucius!" I fell to my knees and began to weep again.

My tears began to ebb as another thought rolled into my troubled mind. "Severus...Severus...That's it!!" I pulled myself to my feet, grabbed my cloak and ran from my room, a smile pulling at the corners of my mouth. My son will be spared.
