Harry's "I would die for..." list

Harry knew there must be a thousand things he would die for.

"Well, thousand is a bit much, isn't it? Let's say ten instead," Harry murmured to himself.

Yes, ten things he would die for.

Like, Ron and Hermione of course. Perhaps Sirius, Remus, and on the odd occasion Snape. But wouldn't these five qualify as friends? Yes, I think they do. So that's one thing, nine things left to go.

Would he die for his Firebolt? Or for his invisibility cloak? For his socks? I don't think so.

So did that mean that there was only one thing he would die for? Just his friends? No, that couldn't be. He was the savior of the Wizarding World, for god's sake! There had to be more things, more important things (not that his friends weren't important, of course). But no matter how hard he thought about it, he kept coming back to his friends. Something kept nagging him, though he couldn't decide what it was. Someone in his mind kept whispering, or chanting more like, There is more, there is more, there is more...

Alright already! So there was more as that person in his mind kept reminding him so nicely, but why didn't he mention what more there was?

A poke in his ribs woke him up out of his thoughts. He looked up sharply, at the grey sky overhead. No wait, that's not the sky, or it has been reduced to two small orbs less than one inch in diameter within the past half an hour.

"Potter, wake up," a voice he knew well said sharply. He tried focusing on that face once more. It was like turning on a television.

And then, suddenly, like he was struck by lightning, like the sun came out and shone her light on the matter, he remembered what he would rather die for, which was more important than even his friends. His enemy, his foe, his irritation for the past six years. His lover, his sweetums, his schoolboy-crush.

He jumped up, hugged the startled boy in front of him and almost began to sing.

"And why, pray tell, are you so happy to see me?" Draco questioned, raising a delicate eyebrow.

Harry giggled like a little girl on Christmas morning.

"What?!" the other boy said, becoming irritated.

"I just remembered that I would happily die for you, you know that don't you?" Harry said happily.

"And why does that make you so happy?"

"Because that means that I love you!"

A chuckle left the other boy and he swatted Harry on the head.

"You're an idiot."

"And you're number one on my 'I would die for...' list."

"I'm glad to know," Draco said, his voice dripping sarcasm.

"Do you have such a list?"

"No, well yes, actually," the boy replied blushing.

"And am I on that list."

"Yes...," Draco murmured.

"Which number?"

"One..."

"Is it also a 'I would die for' list?"

"No..."

"What is it then?"

"Ehm...," Draco coughed a few times, avoiding the question.

"Tell me!"

Draco blushed again and tried his best to avoid looking at Harry.

"Please?

"It's stupid." Draco shrugged it off.

"Well, I'm not surprised, as you made it."

"Hey!"

"Sorry... Please tell me?" Harry looked at him with big puppy eyes, begging Draco to tell him.

"Okay, it's my list of 'Boys I would like to shag'," Draco finally admitted.

"You made a list for that?!" Harry said, coughing to cover up his laugh.

"Yes!"

"Oh... and I am number one?"

"You are."

A girlish scream escaped Harry as he tackled the boy he loved to the ground.

"I love you Draco."

"I muff youw toow."

The end.
