Author's Note:
(yep, just a note, this is set during 6th year for Harry and co. The main charachters , though made up, have a lot of friends who are originals, so they pop up from time to time. Uhh, I hope you like it, i've never written fanfiction here before. Please review, too.)

A thunderstorm raged over Hogwarts castle, spitting vibrant bolts of lightning every which way, periodically illuminating the Ravenclaw girls' dormitory through the windows. Thunderstorms always kept Madison awake, and combined with her anxiety of the Quidditch match to come; it didn't look likely that she would fall asleep for a long time. After a half-hearted attempt to fall asleep, Madison got up out of bed and wrapped her bathrobe around her flannel pajamas, the ones she always wore during thunderstorms. She put on socks, and tiptoed down the stairs into the Ravenclaw common room. It was decorated in the Ravenclaw colors: blue and black, with a very comfortable sofa and a few squashy armchairs around a blue and black rug with an eagle on it. The fire was crackling faintly; it's light becoming dimmer with the passing seconds. She moved quickly out of the common room, and quietly stepped out from behind the statue of the Knight into the third floor corridor. Madison made her way down the hallway, stopping once in a while to listen for Mrs. Norris' soft purr or footsteps of the ever-watchful Argus Filch. She finally got to a huge picture of a bowl of fruit. She checked to see if no one was around, and then went to tickle the pear. But just before her fingers reached the pear, she heard a soft purr, and froze completely. She stood there, listening, and heard something terrible.

"Sniff around, my sweet, someone may be lurking...."

Filch. She wanted to run, but she couldn't, she just stood there as she heard the footsteps getting closer, closer. Just when she thought she was done for, she felt an arm wrap around her waist, pulling her backwards. Another hand clamped over her mouth to stifle her scream, and Madison felt herself being pulled under something. A cloak. She realized that someone had pulled her under what she thought to be an invisibility cloak. Whoever was under the cloak with Madison held her close to its body, arm still wrapped around her waist and hand over her mouth. Filch looked around, snarling at a potential student out of bed.

"I know someone's here! Show yourself!"

He waved his lantern around wildly; at one point the light hit Madison and the person under the invisibility cloak, even though Madison could not been seen, she cringed. After a long while, or so it seemed, Filch left grudgingly with insufficient evidence to get anyone in trouble. The person still held Madison for a few seconds after that, and then let her go, throwing the invisibility cloak off of them. It was a boy, but he looked more like a man. He was tall, maybe 6 feet, muscular build. He had broad shoulders and huge biceps, it seemed like every part of his body was toned. He had longish black hair that hung in one eye, but the most interesting feature about him was his eyes. They were the most prominent shade of blue, and when he stared, they seemed to go past your eyes and into the deepest, darkest corners of your mind. But now, he looked annoyed, but there was an underlying sense of fear in his eyes.

"Bloody hell, Kurt!" he said in a whisper, his too blue eyes flashing, "What do you think you were doing, wandering the castle at night? You better be damn well thankful that I saved you from Filch!"

Madison Kurt knew who he was right away. He was a Slytherin, cunning, ambitious. He was the beater for the Slytherin Quidditch team, one of the most talented players she had ever seen. He was the one who flirted with her silently during their Quidditch matches, a little dance they both did. He was Ethan Dartmoore, forbidden and mysterious.
