"And what's that supposed to mean?" Harry shot back sharply.

Smirk. "If you don't know then I won't tell you," Draco said quietly.

He looked up towards Harry and waited until he wasn't looking. Draco reached into the cup and took a few strings. Save them until I come to you, his father had said. He stored them in a pocket and turned back to Potter where he was ladling the grayish stuff into his goblet.

He loaded up a nice spoonful and dropped it into his goblet with a large PLOP. It started to smell mildly like rotten fish, but he ignored it and turned to Harry.

"Cheers, I guess," Harry said as he clinked his glass against Draco's.

The immediate effect was a whooshing feeling in his stomach. He felt slightly as though he were about to vomit the entire Potion up, but he held it back. He felt himself fall onto the ground and a sudden lurch made him come back to his sense. As soon as his eyes opened, everything was immediately blurred.

Glasses. He lifted them off his nose and looked across from himself where he could see the body of Harry Potter lying dead. At least he appeared dead until he sputtered a few words.

"Malfoy," Harry said quietly. "You okay?"

"Yah I'm good," Malfoy responded. "Thanks for your concern though. I always knew you loved me."

"Actually I just wanted to make sure you didn't damage my body in the process," Harry said as he stood up and looked around the room. There was a redheaded Ron who seemed nothing like himself, and he looked to see Hermione looking down at her own body as if pleased.

"Oh Ronald, chill out," Ron's body said, but then he realized it was Hermione who was speaking. "And stop touching me-yourself-my body-you know what I mean!"

Ron pulled Hermione's hands off her body and held them out in the air as if acknowledging surrender.

"Potter," Malfoy said loudly. "Hallo. I'm speaking to you. Earth to Potter in my body!"

Harry looked back to Malfoy in his body and felt extremely weird. He could see the scar on his own head. He could see the tiny crack in his glasses where Ron had run into him while going opposite way on the boys' staircase.

But something was wrong. Suddenly students all over the room were popping back into themselves. But it wasn't happening to Harry. No familiar swoop. Nothing. Terror suddenly struck him hard and he looked to Malfoy. He was sitting lazily on the floor as if he was bored of being in Harry's body.

"Malfoy..." Harry said quietly.

"Potter..."

"Something here is wrong."

"Yes, I am in your body and I am not terribly grossed out. I know. Totally wrong. But I bet you're enjoying being in my body. Also totally wrong."

"Malfoy, we haven't changed back yet," Harry said.

Malfoy's smirk was wiped clean off of his face when he looked around and realized that Harry was not lying. He looked to Pansy who had switched back into herself and was smiling at Harry who was in his body.

"What did you do Potter?" Malfoy said loudly, rage seeping into his voice. "What did you do to this potion?"

"I didn't do anything. What? You think I want to be stuck being you?"

"You made this potion," Draco snarled. "You must have done this."

"I didn't do anything!" Harry shouted and everyone in the classroom stopped to stare at him.

"Malfoy, I would appreciate it if you quieted yourself," Snape said sharply from his desk. "Either stop your shouting or receive a detention."

"Malfoy, you did this," Harry said to him quietly.

"I did not!" Draco shouted and he pulled his arm back and punched Harry hard in the stomach.

***

Potter returned Draco's punch in the stomach by kicking him in the shin. He fell quickly to the floor and Harry took this moment to jump on top of him. Fists went flying and feet shot back and forth. Draco drew back his hand and felt something wet on it. Only until Ron had his hands on Draco's arms, did Draco realize that it was blood.

"Weasel, let me go!" Draco screamed, but Ron kept a firm hold on his upper arms. "Let me go!"

Snape was holding Harry in a firm grasp just as Ron was holding Draco back.

"Potter! Malfoy! Detention!" Snape yelled. "Weasley, please keep a firm grasp on Potter and bring him to the hallway."

Draco felt himself being dragged towards the door and as it opened, he was ripped from Weasley's grasp and flung to the floor. Potter was tossed next to him and his eye was starting to bruise. His nose and lip were bleeding profusely and it was spilling down onto his Slytherin robes.

"Potter! Explain!" Snape yelled at Draco.

"It's not what you think, Professor Snape!" Draco said and he heard Harry's voice come out of his mouth. "There's something wrong here!"

"That's obvious," Harry said with Draco's body.

"And Malfoy..." Snape said turning to Harry. "What were you thinking? Fifty points from Slytherin and Gryffindor and two nights' detentions for both of you. Potter don't you look at me like that!"

And with that, Snape pushed back into his dungeon and slammed the door.

"How can we solve this, Potter?" Draco asked him. "I don't care what you say; I would never have done anything like that. What makes you think I would want to be trapped in your body?"

"Evil things seem to come from evil people," Harry said dully. "What will we do after class when Hermione and Ron come for you and I am hauled along to the Slytherin dungeons?"

"I don't know Potter. I don't know."

***

"Well, class is about to end, so we better figure out," Harry said as blonde hair spilled into his face and blood seeped down his chin.

"I'll go to Gryffindor if you want me to," Malfoy said quietly. "But I just don't know if you can handle it in the Slytherin common room."

"Well, why don't we go to the Hospital Wing and see if we could possibly reserve beds away from our common rooms," Harry suggested.

"Right-o," Malfoy said as he stood up slowly. He reached out a hand to Harry and it seemed such a natural thing, so he took it without thinking. They walked up a set of stairs to the ground floor and proceeded to the Hospital Wing. When they arrived, Albus Dumbledore stood waiting for them.

"Mr. Malfoy," he said regally. "Mr. Potter. Why don't you both take a seat and we can discuss the events which occurred today in your Potion's class."

***

"Oh I don't know how I could have done this without you," Pansy said quietly in his ear. He settled back into his bed and leaned over her to touch his lips to hers. She shivered with anticipation and the sheets covering them stirred slightly.

"Draco is now out of my way and it shall be great to destroy Potter while he stays in our dungeon," Pansy said as he reached under the sheets to caress her where she lay. "Sure, Draco shall be stuck in Potter's body, but Potter will be out of our way when the Dark Lord returns to Hogwarts."

"Yes, my sweet," he said to her. "But what of when the Dark Lord returns? Doesn't it need to be an heir of the founders to destroy the Dark Lord to make way for me? If the heir of Gryffindor is dead and the heir of Slytherin is in a different body, will the process recognize Malfoy in his alternate body?"

"The spell might not recognize him, hence our need for the next heir. Once we have discovered the heir, we will bargain with them. It will work."

She kissed his lips harshly and rolled on top of him. The sheets dripped off her shoulders to reveal her bare back and they settled near her hips.

"Make love to me, Tom," Pansy said as Tom Marvolo Riddle ran his fingers up and down her back. "Make love to me and forget the heirs. I did not bring you back just to speak of them."
