Author's Note:
This fic was inspired by Cassandra Claire's Draco Dormiens. Yes I realize that the beginnings are similar, but I assure you that THIS WILL GO A DIFFERENT WAY!

Potions. Draco was partnered with Potter yet again and his mudblood girlfriend was staring across the room at him like a lost puppy. Get a room, Draco thought.

"Potter!" Draco yelled into his ear. "Wanna snap back to reality for maybe one teensy second so we can get our Potions done?"

"Grrr," Pansy said as she approached her spot on the opposite side of Draco. She was paired with Dean Thomas. "Draco's not feeling very friendly today, are we Draco?"

"Just not with the bloody Gryffindors," Draco whispered as he leaned into her to snatch a little tongue action.

"Malfoy, quit it before I barf in our cauldron," Harry murmured.

"Do you promise you will if I keep it up?" Draco said hopefully.

Potter ignored Draco and started to gather ingredients while squinting up at the board. Really, he had pretty bad sight for a kid with glasses. Honestly kid, Draco said to himself, get your little mudblood friend to charm those eyes to normal. C'mon there's magic for that.

Draco quickly read the ingredients listed on the board for the Polyjuice Potion.

Consists of: boomslang skin, fluxweed picked at the full moon, knotgrass, lacewing flies stewed 21 days, leeches, powered bicorn horn, and a bit of who you want to turn into. Sick. Essence of Potter.

"Welcome to Potions today, class," Snape said quietly from the front of the classroom. One would think he must try hard to make them all hear, but he did not have troubles with quieting a class. "We will be continuing with our Polyjuice Potions. This is a very difficult potion and must be made with precise measuring and a steady hand. We have stewed the lacewings for 21 days and we have just approached our 10th day of waiting for our potions to become a grayish color. Now, if you peek into your cauldrons, your potions should be a dull gray color."

Draco leaned over their cauldron and was startled to see a dark gray color, almost black. He swiftly raised his hand into the air, but Snape hardly took notice.

"Now, everyone is to sever a piece of their own hair with a simple severing charm and put it in the goblets I have set out for you. Yes, Mr. Malfoy?"

"Our potion is not a dull gray," Draco said bluntly.

"Well then that is your own fault and you shall deal with the repercussions," Snape said evilly as he turned back to the class. "Now, everyone sever away. What are you waiting for?"

The students jumped into action and several shouts of "Diffindo" could be heard across the room. Harry plucked out a few pieces of his own hair and Draco looked idly up at his immaculate blonde locks.

"I will not ruin this perfect hair," Draco muttered more to himself than anyone else in particular.

"Then let me help you."

Harry Potter pulled out his wand and with a small whisper of "Diffindo," he was holding a small chunk of Draco's hair.

"You smug little bastard," Draco said loudly as Harry tossed the chunk of hair into a goblet. "You will pay.

"Ooh, I'm terrified," Potter said sharply to Draco.

"No, but you will be soon."
