The Little Blue Bracelet

She was nervous... he was coming back. He had been gone so long. She was anxious to see him. He had gone to the war against Voldemort, and he was finally coming back. Before he left, their relationship was steadily getting better since the incident, but now Ginny was determined to tell him how she really felt rather than the lies she'd told earlier.

She was going to tell him that she truly loved him that she would never lie to him again, and accept his proposal. He told her to think it over while he was gone. Ginny had mulled it over so many times that her head would start to hurt.

The war was won and he would be coming home on the train. He had also written to her, saying he was delayed, for he had someone for her to meet. So there Ginny stood at the

train station fiddling with a bracelet with little blue stones set with engraved blue stones into it. He had given it to her.

The recent past had been difficult. He had never told her what he was doing or where he was going. It was all lies. Ginny caught on to it. She wasn't that dim witted. She had to admit that she had lied to him too, but not about big things. They both were a big knot of lies. Nearer and nearer to the war he had got more cheerful and happier with Ginny.

Ginny wondered. What could be so wonderful about fighting your arch enemy? She had never dared to ask, fearing that he would retreat into himself again.

Three trains had passed earlier and it had worn her nerves out. Another came rumbling in, making the glass covering the maps on the wall rattle. Ginny watched as the men came out looking tired and worn but happy, for they were re-united with their families again. Still, she saw that a few of them got off. dismay that there was no one to greet them with their love.

Ginny sat down and opened a chocolate frog to keep herself busy. The little brown amphibian hopped around on her lap and landed on her shoulder. She looked in the box for the Wizard card and pulled it out. The chocolate frog stood still, she had never seen that before. She looked at the card. The handsome man had glasses and thick black hair, as well as a scar in the middle of his forehead. Harry Potter.

"Why look at that. It's me!" said a voice behind her. She turned and saw his face. Harry. He had come back. She leaped up and threw her arms around him.

"Harry! I've missed you so much!" she said. She remembered what she had rehearsed to say. "Harry I have something to tell you," she said, her happiness overtaking her.

"Before you say anything. I have the 'someone' for you," Harry said, stepping aside.

A beautiful young girl was revealed. Her black hair shone, even in the dim light of the station. Her face was perfect. No wonder Harry had brought her.

"Remember Cho? From Hogwarts? Well..." Harry hesitated. She was afraid of what she might hear.

" Well... we're engaged, Ginny."

She was shocked. Harry...

"What?" Ginny found tears in her eyes.

The little blue bracelet dropped to the ground. The beads slamming clattered on the concrete. The bracelet disintegrated, beads bouncing across the platform, falling onto the tracks. The little blue bracelet was gone... broken... Just like Ginny's heart.
