Chapter 2
~~~~~~~~~~
The next morning, Cassidy awoke feeling much better than she had the previous night. Also, as she opened her eyes she found that she was thankfully alone.
Shortly, Madam Pomfrey strode in, "Oh! You're finally awake," she said brightly. Cassidy nodded with a small smile. "And you're feeling better?" Cassidy nodded again. "Good. I'll just give you a bit of breakfast and you can b on your way." Madam Pomfrey disappeared for a few minutes before reappearing with a tray of breakfast food. She left Cassidy alone to eat.
Afterwards, Madam Pomfrey excused Cassidy to her common room. She walked into it warily, trying to avoid any flash of blonde she might see. Strangely, he was nowhere to be seen. Cassidy walked to her dorm quickly, very glad it was Sunday. She had a lot of homework to do, and would be happily distracted from any wandering thoughts.
Dinner came around, and still there was not a sign of Draco anywhere. Cassidy contemplated whether or not she should ask where he was to seem concerned. Cassidy decided not to as the mere mention of him might strike up conversation; the last thing she felt like getting into at the moment.
Cassidy refrained from socializing, eating quickly so that she could return to her dorm, ending the weary day. The part of her that love and cared for Draco, made her pause in front of his dorm door. She stared at it, thinking over whether she should knock or not. If she didn't, that would be the first day since the beginning of the year that she did not see him. Cassidy sighed as she made up her mind to knock. After a few seconds, the door slowly opened and Cassidy look in to see Draco on his bed, his eyes dark and yet oddly bright. He raised an eyebrow to see her face, out of everyone at the door. Cassidy stepped in and closed the door behind her, leaning back against it. She kept her eyes on a stained spot of his rug. She had been in here many times before, but now the curtains were drawn tightly, the only light coming from a small candle on Draco's dresser. A minute or so passed in silence, Draco's gaze piercing into Cassidy.
"Well," Draco finally said, "what is it, then?" Cassidy finally looked up to meet Draco's presently dark gray eyes.
"I was wondering where you were," she said plainly, feeling very foolish. Draco flashed her a cold, half-grin. His eyes narrowed suspiciously, the dark-gray colder than ice.. Cassidy fought off the urge to shudder.
"Oh, really?" Draco mused maliciously. Cassidy didn't reply. He laughed coldly. "Your naivety amazes and completely amuses me," he said as if to justify his laughter. Cassidy slid down the door to sit on the floor, arms wrapped around her knees. She dug her face into her arms, hating herself for being such a predictable, little child.
Cassidy heard the movement of his body as Draco stood up from his bed suddenly. He walked over too her and kneeled down in front of her. He lifted her head from her arms. Cassidy kept he eyes shut tightly, knowing what was coming. But it never came. Cassidy sat there, her eyes shut, expecting to feel Draco's lips on her neck, on her lips. She finally opened her eyes, Draco's hand still holding her face. He looked at her with a sort of fear and wariness.
"Go," he suddenly said, dropping his hands to the floor. He averted his eyes from her and bent his head, silver tendrils falling over his eyes to cover his expression. "Go," he commanded again. Cassidy stood up, standing there for a while. "Just get of here, Ambron!" Draco finally yelled. Cassidy gasped and left the room instantly.
Out in the hall, Cassidy caught herself in amazement. She had been so sure; whenever he approached her like that, it meant he wanted it all over again. Something was seriously wrong with him. No, Cassidy thought, he'll come back tonight. He'll come want it and no amount of begging will stop him.
As Cassidy fell asleep warily, she hoped desperately that her prediction was wrong. But, later at night, she was awoken by a sudden suction on her cheek. As she opened her eyes, she realized that the sensation had been Draco's kiss. Cassidy gave a small groan of exhaustion, which Draco completely disregarded.
"Tell me you love me," he demanded softly. Cassidy suddenly felt wide awake. He had never before. asked this of her. A few seconds passed before she felt able to respond.
"I--I love you, " she said weakly. Draco's eyes darkened with anger at her obedience.
"You do not," he said. Cassidy didn't know what to say. And she didn't have a chance to say anything as Draco pulled her into a sitting position. He stood up and leaned in towards her. "Say it again," he hissed. Cassidy swallowed.
"I love you." The shock of it her hurt more than she could have imagined; Draco slapped her across the face. Cassidy let out a small yelp of pain. "What are you--" Draco slammed her against the wall her bed sat next to. Cassidy found she couldn't speak from the intense pain and shock.
"Don't you think you know what I'm feeling," he whispered vehemently.
"I don't--" Draco slammed her against the wall again. It was all she could do to keep breathing and keep her head from slamming against the stone wall as well.
"You have no idea what I think or feel," he declared. This time, Cassidy didn't say anything. Still, he slammed her against the wall yet again. Now, Cassidy let out a sob of pain. Before she knew what had happened, the back of Draco's hand slapped across her face. Cassidy gave a small scream and felt Draco's grip on her upper arms tighten.
"Shut up!" he yelled. Cassidy closed her mouth and shook helplessly against Draco's body, which pressed her against the cold, stone wall. Silent tears streaked her cheeks, and as though driven by her tears, Draco kissed down upon her lips harder than he ever had. Her tears fell harder than they had since the first time, falling down her cheeks and onto Draco's lips. Soon, her started biting her bottom lip every time he pulled away for breath. Just as Cassidy felt the excruciating pain on her lip turn to blood, Draco tasted it in his mouth. He grinned against her mouth, and moved to kiss her neck. As soon as Cassidy's mouth was free of Draco's, she sucked on her lip, the blood leaving a bitter taste.
As Draco kept going back and forth from kissing Cassidy's mouth to her neck, Cassidy started feeling weak. She was so tired and wanted it all to just stop. All he kept doing was kissing her, not even forcing off her clothes. But Cassidy bore it as long as she could, afraid he may go back to abusing her if she tried to stop him. Cassidy breathed heavily as Draco nipped her neck tenderly. His hands slid from her upper arms to ring around her neck gently. Cassidy felt her heart speed up, not sure if he meant to choke her again. He suddenly stopped, finally raising his head.
"You scared?" Draco asked malevolently. Cassidy's breathing sped up as her heart's pace quickened unbearably. He grinned and kissed her mouth, biting her lip, which still bled freely. "You taste remarkably good," he said as he lifted his head again. That was it, Cassidy quickly exhaled.
"You disgust me," she said contemptuously. This only amused Draco as he sneered evilly.
"Do I, now?" he asked. "What a pity." There was a sugar-coated disappointment in his voice. "And just a couple of hours ago, I thought you held concern for me," he added just to hurt her even more.
"I thought something in you had changed last night," Cassidy finally admitted. Draco eyes widened. "I was painfully mistaken" Draco breathed hard, his eyes darkening again. He suddenly pushed himself off of her, slamming her against the wall, in result. He stood up and left her room, not glancing at her once.
Cassidy felt her heart pace slow down gradually. She sucked on her painfully bleeding lip. She let out a small sob as she lay back down on her bed. Cassidy fell asleep almost instantly; great exhaustion overpowering her instinctive fear of Draco.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cassidy awoke the following morning, shaking. The cold of her room her how close it was to Christmas. She looked gladly forward to returning home, finally getting a break from fear, a break from Draco.
Cassidy pulled off her pajamas and felt her arms twinge painfully. On her upper arms were five purple bruises each. Each bruise marked where Draco's fingers gripped on her skin so tightly. This thought only reminded her of the pain in her bottom lip and also the pain in her back from being slammed against the stone wall so many times. Cassidy sighed. Why had he suddenly become so violent? He used to never hurt her physically, knowing the inner pain he caused her was so much greater. The bruises he had left this time would last long. Madam Pomfrey would suspect something if she saw Cassidy with such bruises only a day later. And Cassidy couldn't do that; nobody could suspect anything was less than perfect with her and Draco. There would be serious consequences if that happened. Cassidy sighed again as she left her dorm, ready for another horrible day at school.
She spent her day as she usually did. The only different thing was that Draco's attitude towards her was becoming much colder. Cassidy wondered if this meant he would abuse her more or just ignore her. Her question was answered after dinner. She was sitting in a sofa in the common room, reading a book. Draco stood near her, looking out a window to the cold night sky. He'd hardly said a word to her all day and she didn't care enough top wonder. There was a tap at the window and Draco walked towards it. Cassidy didn't get a chance to glimpse the owl for chance of familiarity. She was too busy planning her Christmas vacation. Draco opened the window to take the letter in the owl's beak and opened it. His eyes scanned over it and his first smirk that day appeared on his face. Cassidy felt her stomach turn uncomfortably.
"I guess its time to go write Father," Draco said as he threw the letter to her and left for his dorm. Cassidy picked up the short letter. As she read it,, her heart skipped a horrible beat. It suddenly became harder to breathe or see as she eyes welled up with tears:
Cassidy,
I'm just writing to tell you that you will have to stay at Hogwarts this Christmas. I have an urgent business call and your nanny is going to visit her family. But, don't worry, ill see you at Spring Vacation.
Much love,
You Father
Cassidy bitterly crumpled up the letter and shoved it in her robe pocket. She ran up to her dorm, slamming the door shut behind her, miserable tears falling down her cheeks.
Cassidy sobbed into her pillow. She knew Draco was writing to his father to tell him he would be staying at Hogwarts with his "beloved girlfriend." This was revenge for the previous night; she had been too disrespectful to Draco. And now, with everyone gone, he could do whatever he wanted almost wherever he wanted. Cassidy sobbed again and again until her stomach ached from it. She sat up and walked over to her vanity set.. The large mirror showed her a face she never would have imagined to call her own.
Draco's mental and physical abuse had turned the teenage beauty into a tortured wreck. The light that used to shine in her hazel-green eyes had dulled to a murky, pine color. The shine and bounce in her long, dark brown hair had faded to form a flat mess of tendrils, almost always damp from tears nowadays. Her rosy face seemed to droop and the laugh lines that used to surround her mouth had disappeared from lack of use.
Cassidy scanned the photos slipped under the frame of her mirror, most which Draco had forced her to leave there. A lot of them showed her and Draco happy and carefree together. All the others showed individuals of her and Draco. All of them were from last year, before whatever had changed Draco had occurred. In each one, they smiled carelessly, neither imagining what was in store for the next year.
Later, Cassidy found it hard to fall asleep. Her hear, mingled with anguish wouldn't let her mind be at peace. Finally, she fell asleep. To her great surprise, Draco didn't come to see or talk to her.
The following morning Cassidy awoke, her feelings of excitement for Break turned to dread. When she saw Draco in the Great Hall, his face looked bright and happy. It made Cassidy feel hopeless again, for anything that made him happy, would probably do the opposite to her. As she sat down beside him, he kissed her softly on the cheek. Cassidy wondered how she could possibly stand this pretend game they were playing.
"Hogsmeade today," Draco said. "'Buy presents' time." She wondered if he was actually excited for the trip or if it was just his act. Cassidy sighed.
"What is the point of this?" Before she could stop herself, she had voiced her mental question. Draco, who had already turned back to a group of loud Slytherins, looked back at her. Draco's eyes darkened dangerously. Cassidy's heart skipped a beat as she felt Draco and the Slytherin's eyes on her.
"What do you mean?" he asked, although he looked like he was pretty sure what she meant.
"I--um--was just thinking--sorry," Cassidy said quickly. Draco gave her a small glare before returning to the convinced, unaware Slytherins.
When breakfast was over, Draco and Cassidy stood up. He grabbed her hand, squeezing it tightly and slightly painful. Cassidy tried not to wince, sensing Draco's anger. She spent the rest of the day trying not to talk.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The week seemed to flash before Cassidy's eyes. Before she knew it, it was Friday and she and Draco were saying goodbye to their "friends." This Christmas, as if Draco had planned it, only he and Cassidy were left of the Slytherins. As soon as Cassidy and Draco were back in the common room, Cassidy sat down at a couch and began to read a book. The fire crackled comfortably in front of her. As she became lost in her boo, she forgot about Draco's presence and was surprised to not see him when she looked up from her book. She looked around the room and saw she was alone.
Cassidy's eyes fell on a glass case above the mantel . Inside it was an old sword, shining dully. A sudden urge filled her as she eyes it. She was getting this urge whenever she saw anything sharp. Cassidy just wanted to take it and finally end her life, her suffering. Surely, even death was better than the half-life she was living. But, she found she could never bring herself to it. Cassidy knew death wasn't something as fickle as most would like to believe. It was solid. It was unchangeable.
She stood up and walked over to the fireplace. Cassidy reached up her hand, letting her fingers run over the cold glass. A sudden, cold, and velvety voice made her jump.
"You want to use it," Draco said, his voice stinging her like ice. "Don't think I haven't seen you eyeing such things." His lip curled, "You ache for death, but are too weak to do it." Cassidy tried to drown out the painfully true words, but they echoed in her ears ceaselessly.
Draco walked towards her. He stopped when he was so close to her that his breath stirred her hair. He tucked a loose tendril of Cassidy's dark hair behind her ear. It somehow soothed her slightly.
"I could do it for you," he whispered. Cassidy took in a deep breath. "It is what you want me to do. It's what you expect me to o." This was true. Especially now that Draco abused her so, she expected him to eventually kill her. But she doubted Draco had even that much mercy in him.
Draco ran the back of his fingers against the side of her neck. It sent chills up her spine. Cassidy took in a shuddering breath, Draco kissed her softly on the lips.
"You want me to, don't you?" he whispered in her ear. Cassidy closed her eyes, not having a clue of what she wanted. She felt him grin against her face and she held her breath. Draco's hand found hers and raised it to lay on her heart, his own palm pressed against Cassidy's forehand. She felt the gradually quickening heartbeat. "You want me to end the slow, steady beat of your anguished heart."
"You wouldn't," Cassidy declared softly. Draco's grin widened.
"I wouldn't?" He gave a small laugh. "I already have." Cassidy didn't understand. Draco seemed to know this. "Oh no, not you, Cassidy, darling. Another's heartbeat ceased at my hands." Cassidy heart raced. Could this be what happened over summer?
"You--you murdered someone?" she asked, opening her eyes. Draco pulled his head away from Cassidy's ear, a deadly sneer on his face. "When?"
"Summer," he answered casually, now completely pulling away from her and sitting down on the sofa. But, Cassidy was rooted to where she stood.
"Who? Why? How?" Cassidy couldn't strop herself. Draco's grin widened.
"Curious little bugger, aren't you?" he said. "Well, I'm not sure what her name was, out of anger, and--do I really need to get into the gruesome details?" Cassidy couldn't speak. He'd killed someone, committed a capital crime and here he was as laid back as if he were retelling a story he'd heard.
"And," Draco added, "who knows? I night get a knack for it. The blood involved is so exhilarating." Cassidy became very queasy. Her knees suddenly buckled and she fell to sit on the floor.
"Y-you're evil... crazy, out of mind," was all she managed. Draco laughed.
"You're so dreadfully cute, simple-minded," he said, in an admiring tone. He pulled out his wand from a robe pocket and twirled it between two fingers. The polished ebony caused her heart to skip a beat. Draco had used it on her before. "You remember?" said with a sneer. "Well, don't feel too special. You weren't the first I used that on--hmm." He laughed as if recalling a fond memory. Draco's gray eyes glinted a fiery malevolence, which was lustful and uncontrollable.
"And I don't even have to use Dark Magic," Draco continued. "I could use a simple Shearing Charm and cut you into small pieces. Oh--the possibilities." Breathing became suddenly rather difficult for Cassidy. Her head seemed to be experiencing something like the opposite of a head-rush. Things slowed down around her and her heartbeat pounded methodically in her ears. Her legs folded under her, she lowered her head to her lap, her arms holding her nauseous stomach. Cassidy let out a low, shuddering breath before her nausea became overwhelming and she bolted from the common room the bathroom to vomit. Draco's low laughter followed her all the way there.
______
After Cassidy's stomach felt thoroughly empty, she sank to the floor. She wrapped her arms around her knees and pulled them towards her. She felt so trapped within confines she could be tortured so easily. Suddenly struck by a horrible desperation to leave it all, Cassidy left the Slytherin common room. She was extremely grateful to see Draco wasn't there. When she saw the exit to the rest of the castle, Cassidy ran. She ran out the painting, through the halls towards the Grounds. She was not watching where she was going as she ran down the long, marble halls and ran headlong into somebody.
"What the--?" the person grunted as he/she was pushed back violently. In a sudden attempt to not fall, the person balanced themselves; it was Harry Potter. He didn't let go of Cassidy's shoulders when he realized who it was. "Cassidy?" he said in a voice very different from Draco's. "What's wrong? You look ill."
Cassidy quickly muttered, "I'm fine," and pulled away from Harry. He'd always been a little more than a friend to her, especially for being a Slytherin. He nodded quickly.
"Uh--right," Harry said before clearing his throat. Cassidy started to walk away when Harry's hand grabbed her wrist. "Are you sure you're okay? Your face is pale and your eyes--" he paused uneasily, "--your eyes used to sparkle, Cassidy." Harry's bright, green eyes looked into hers, trying to find an obviously hidden truth. Cassidy averted her eyes from his to the floor.
"I'm fine Harry," Cassidy repeated. Harry reluctantly let go of her wrist and nodded again. Cassidy turned and left, sensing that Harry's eyes were pasted to her all the way down the hall.
Cassidy, as she arrived outside to the cold, evening air, somehow appreciated Harry's observant manner. Not one person had stopped to notice or mind Cassidy's appearance. Surely she wasn't under such a mask that she didn't at least look unwell? Wouldn't she, by now, at least look a little depresses compared to her usual energy? Couldn't people see the pain in her eyes when she was around Draco? No, no one, no one at all, except for Harry, neither cared nor took the energy to care.
Cassidy pulled her thin, indoor robe around her, snow falling peacefully. She'd always enjoyed the cold. But now it, like almost everything, gave her horrible flashbacks and made her recall memories she'd rather not relive. As she looked up at the distant castle with its many windows, she expected to see Draco standing at a window just watching her. Of course, he was not, but Cassidy felt that no matter where she went, his eyes were always on her. Cassidy shuddered and involuntarily felt more goose-bumps gather on her numb arms..
After a while, Cassidy could hardly take it any longer. Her hands, thighs, and even her lips were numb from the freezing temperature. To add to it, the darkness was coming up fast and that just lowered temperatures. She went to the Great Hall where dinner commenced. She walked in to see Draco sitting at the Slytherin table with a rather agitated look on his face. But, he hadn't yet seen her. Rather, it seemed Harry had bee looking for. As she walked towards Draco slowly, Harry came up to her. At that, Draco did look at the pair.
"Cassidy, I--my God! Your cheeks are bright red!" Harry grabbed Cassidy's numb hands; his eyes widened. "Why, you're dead freezing!" He took off his own cloak and wrapped it around Cassidy, rubbing her upper-arms. The whole time, Cassidy stood rooted, feeling Draco's cold eyes on the scene. She finally spoke.
"Harry, look. This really isn't necessary." She started to take off his cloak but Harry didn't let her.
"Just take it, Cass. I have others.... Go on, now, go!" he said, lightly pushing her towards her table. Harry smiled before turning back to his own table. Cassidy felt her numb face suddenly go warm as she blushed. Draco the deadliest sneer on.
"So," he said in an amused voice, "cheating on me now, are you?" Cassidy ignore his question and sat down. Then his face returned to its agitated look. "And where have you been for the past--"
"What? Half hour? Sorry if you have separation problems," Cassidy snapped in a low voice. Draco looked both amused and taken aback.
"Well... someone's cheerful today," he said.
"Sorry if I'm a little tense from learning that my so-called boyfriend who's raping me, has committed murder!" she hissed quietly. Now, Draco laughed.
"'So-called boyfriend?'" he asked, disregarding the rest of what she'd said. Cassidy ignored him and slightly sunk in her chair. Draco ate, feeling satisfied with Cassidy's silence.
As Cassidy sat next to Draco, her eyes fell on Harry. He was talking animatedly to Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. Her heart jolted; to Cassidy, Harry symbolized freedom. Harry was a sort of justice in her life; the only thing that was fair. Cassidy pulled his cloak tight around herself, the scent of soap mingled with grass and cold air lingered over it. It was different, for Draco always smelled like expensive cologne and somewhat like cinnamon.
Just as she thought of him, Harry glanced towards her. Cassidy blinked with surprise. She heard a contemptuous scoff come from Draco. Harry gave Cassidy a half-smile before noticing Draco's glare.
"Fuck off, Potter," Draco said. Harry read what he'd said without hearing it and gave Draco a sharp look before turning away. "He's out of his mind," Draco said with a laugh as looked down at Cassidy. Draco laughed again and kissed her hard on the mouth as if to show off. He gave Harry--who had been intently watching from the corner of his eye--a smug sneer as he left Cassidy and strutted out the Great Hall. Cassidy felt her face go hot for a reason she was unaware of and quickly left the Great Hall after Draco.
As soon as she stepped out, a hand grabbed her wrist and she fell onto Draco. His eyes were bright with malignant furiousness. He looked over her and scoffed as he pulled the faded, black cloak off of her.
"What do you think you are doing?" he hissed, his hands tight on her upper arms. "Are you so low that you need a fucking Gryffindor to make you feel worthy of something?"
"Stop it!" Cassidy said, anger--something she had not truly felt in a long time--rising in her. "Just stop!" Draco pulled back away from her, a malicious smirk forming on his face.
"Ok, then. Go fuck around with Potter. He's too good. He'll see that there's something terribly wrong with you and push you away. Then, you'll come crawling back to me," he said viciously. Draco left her there to retreat to his dorm, a smug satisfaction in him.
Cassidy stood there before she sank to the floor, pulling Harry's cloak towards her. She hugged it to her and cried into it with a long sob. Shortly after, she heard footsteps approaching and raised her head. Harry, Hermione, and Ron came walking out and into the entrance hall. Cassidy quickly wiped her eyes. The trio instantly spotted her and Harry ran up to, kneeling down in front of her.
"What is it Cassidy? What's wrong? Is it Malfoy? Oh, I swear, I'll kill him--" A bright fire of anger arose in Harry's green eyes.
"No--I'm fine... I'm fine, Harry, really I am," Cassidy said. Harry looked subtly unconvinced.
"You sure? You seem ill... miserable, or something," Harry said seriously in a low voice. The truth of what Harry thought panged her with guilt. "I'm worried about you," he added, avoiding her eyes as he confessed such a personal feeling. Cassidy gave a small, guilty sigh and forced a smile.
"Oh, Harry--really, I'm ok." Don't worry about me," she lied painfully. But Harry, it seemed, was convinced and stood up. HE held out his hand to her, she took it and he pulled her to her feet effortlessly.
"Well, I'll see you around. After all, tomorrow's Christmas Eve," Harry said. "Come on, guys," he said to Ron and Hermione who smiled at each other and then to Cassidy before leaving after Harry.
Cassidy sighed. The realization that it really was Christmas Eve tomorrow struck her. In the state she had been at Hogsmeade the previous week, she'd neglected getting presents for anyone except for her dad and Draco. Harry will totally hate me, Cassidy thought. Harry, being as nice as he was, had probably gotten her a present and she was completely empty-handed.
Cassidy walked into the Slytherin common room and sat down on a couch. She sighed, hoping Draco wouldn't come down. Her tired eyelids fell heavily so that the fire cast long shadows of her eyelashes across her cheekbones. Cassidy ended up curling up on the sofa and falling asleep.
The next morning, Cassidy awoke to the sound of boots tapping on the stone floor. She opened her eyes and sat up to see Draco walking down the stairs.
"Oh, you were here all night?" he asked without really wanting an answer. Cassidy rubbed her eyes in exhaustion and put her hand down on the couch for support. She felt a cotton fabric instead of the leather of the couch. Cassidy looked down to see Harry's black cloak. Seeing that Draco was coming towards her, she quickly hid it under a throw pillow. Draco sat down in an armchair near Cassidy.
"What time is it?" Cassidy asked.
"It's about ten," Draco responded. He looked over to Cassidy and stared at her with a grin on. "What'd you get me?" he suddenly asked. Cassidy was strongly reminded of an anxious, five year-old child. She looked over at him, not sure how to respond. She hated the way he toyed with her like this. How he'd just act as if there was no reason for her to hate him, of not fear him entirely.
Before she had a chance to respond, Draco quickly moved to her couch and sat beside her. He put his hands on Cassidy's thighs and kissed her hard on the mouth. Her hands weren't sure whether to push Draco's hands off her legs or lis lips off hers. She ended up pushing him on both shoulders. He had a mischievous smile on.
"Come on! What'd you get me?" he urged childishly. Now Cassidy was just getting irritated.
"Draco, stop," she said defiantly. He made a fake, sad face and grabbed Cassidy around the waist, puling her towards him. She sighed sharply and tried to pull away from him, but he instinctively pulled her onto him in another kiss. Cassidy gave a small scream against his mouth and tried as much as she could to pull away from him. Draco was too strong and smiled against her mouth. Cassidy finally turned her head.
"Draco, stop," she whispered vehemently. Draco's hands moved to grip her upper arms. He suddenly pushed her down so that he was lying on top of her on the couch. He narrowed his eyes to a cruel squint.
"Make me," he hissed before kissing her hard. Cassidy gave up trying to push him off of her and just lay, motionless. Draco became extremely agitated and raised his head. "You are being extremely annoying. Do something!" he exclaimed. Cassidy raised her eyes to his in a vile glare. "Ugh!" he said, "You know how to kill a mood." Draco sat up, quickly running his fingers through his hair. "You could at least try to push me off or cry or something. But no, you have to be all submissive which completely takes the fun out of molesting you," Draco said, staring into the fire. Cassidy meanwhile glared scathingly at him. He was once again mocking her and her misery. How dare her? Cassidy thought in a complete fury.
Draco finally looked at her and saw she was still glaring at him. He suddenly got up with irritation.
"God, you're in a mood today!" he exclaimed. He gave a sharp sigh before leaving Cassidy alone. She was relieved to se him leave. She'd never felt so weak. He was just on top of her and all she could do is scream and beg for him to stop. It was pathetic. Cassidy definitely needed to learn some good defense magic.
