There's Gotta Be More

Draco Malfoy sat on his four poster bed, in the Slytherin dorm, too depressed to do anything. He always had what he wanted and he was satisfied, but now that wasn't enough. He couldn't understand why he was feeling like this. Throwing rude comments at Granger, Weasel, and Potter wasn't amusing anymore. He was missing something, but he didn't know what.

I've got it all, but I feel so deprived

I go up, I come down and I'm emptier inside

Tell me what is this thing that I feel like missing

And why can't I let it go

"What's wrong with me?" thought Draco, "This just isn't enough anymore. Playing charades to get what I want isn't fun. People don't know who I really am. Hiding from who I am to keep up the family honor just isn't right anymore! I need someone to help me get off this stupid cliff, someone like..." Draco's thoughts drifted to the only person he ever loved, Ginny Weasley, that big Weasel's younger sister, the most beautiful person in the world. "I need to tell her!" Draco said. With that he ran out of the 6th year boys' dormitory and went to look for Ginny.

There's gotta be more to life...

Than chasing down every temporary high to satisfy me
Cause the more that I'm...

Tripping up thinking there must be more life

Well it's life, but I'm sure... there's gotta be more

Draco found Ginny in the great hall eating lunch. She was sitting by that annoying Potter and 'Miss I'm so smart' Granger. Her brother was no where to be seen.

"Why can't I ever find her alone?" Draco muttered under his breath, "I'll just have to tell her later."

"Tell what to whom later?" asked a cold voice from behind. "And why are you staring at my sister?" Draco turned around and saw Ginny's older brother Ron.

"None of your freakin' business!" shouted Draco. With that he stormed out of the Great hall, leaving his beloved with her stupid over protecting brother and friends.

I've got the time and I'm wasting it slowly

Here in this moment I'm half way out the door

Onto the next thing, I'm searching for something that's missing

"There is nothing that can break my feelings for Ginny," said Draco, who was now back on his four poster bed. "I'll just have to find her at the right moment so, I can confess everything!" Yes, that sounded just right for Draco, but there was one problem. How was he going to get her to be alone with him for an hour while he explained everything? This he had not figured out yet, but when it was time he'd find a way to make her stay and listen. This emptiness had to end!

There's gotta be more to life...

Than chasing down every temporary high to satisfy me
Cause the more that I'm...

Tripping up thinking there must be more life

Well it's life, but I'm sure... there's gotta be more

Draco saw Ginny come out of the great hall after dinner. It was now or never.

"Ginny! Over here!" called Draco, hoping that she would come. Ginny did not want anyone to know she was talking to that Malfoy, so she came over slowly.

"What do you want Malfoy?" Ginny asked as she pushed him into an empty classroom, so she wouldn't be seen with him.

"I need to tell you something, but you have to promise to stay for the whole thing." Draco said cautiously.

"Fine, I promise." said Ginny without thinking. "Well, what is it?"

"I wanted to tell you..." stared Draco, but words failed him.

"You wanted to tell me what?" asked Ginny curiously.

"That I - I need your help." Draco said quickly, failing to tell her what he meant to start the conversation off with. "Lately I have felt like nothing I have can satisfy me anymore, I feel like I'm missing something or someone." Those last words struck her hard. She had been feeling like that too.

"Oh?" said Ginny smirking, she thought she knew how this was going to end up. "I think I know who this someone is."

She can't know what I'm thinking we have nothing in common, thought Draco.

"Lately, I have been feeling the same way as you. I'm missing someone, but didn't know whom until now!" Ginny said coming closer to Draco. "Draco..." Ginny started, but he cut her off.

"You called me by my first name?" Draco said very confused. "I thought you hated me!"

"Not all things are as they seem." Now their faces were an inch apart.

"Ginny, I - I love you!" Draco said, now confidant that she would not run. Then he lightly kissed her waiting for a reaction, such as a slap in the face.

It didn't come she just kissed him back and said "Draco, I love too!"
