Hermione,

My love, my beloved. We can not be together, my father may soon find out and if he does he will be outraged. I had to say good-bye. I have chosen to save you by joining the Dark Lord. If I do not he will kill you. If you were to be hurt I could never live with myself. I could never let my beloved die. You have a meaning in this world and that meaning is more important than mine is. I will never be aloud to see you again. You are forbidden to me. You are my forbidden fruit. You are my forever flower. You will always be my beloved. My Hermione.

Love you forever and always,

Draco Lucius Malfoy

Hermione sat in Dumbledore's office as she read the letter over again and again letting the tears fall freely from her eyes. It was her fault he was gone. He turned to the Dark Lord to protect her. He was dead now and she will never see her beloved again. She kept sobbing as she ran out of Dumbledore's office and headed to the old Gryffindor common room and found that it was open and unattended.

She stepped inside to see a figure standing next to the fire. She walked closer and closer to it not able to tell what it was. Then it spoke to her saying slowly, "Hermione I have made my spirit visit you give you a proper good-bye."

She watched as the figure next to the fire stepped closer to her and shock over came her. It was Draco Malfoy or at least his spirit. It came up to her speaking nothing to each other they kissed it seemed to short to Hermione and she tried to hang on to it but at last she had to breath and when she did the spirit was gone.

She told Dumbledore about it and he told her it must have been a dream. He told her that it could never happen and told her to go home.

She lashed out at him screaming, "IT WASN'T A DREAM. I WOULD HAVE KNOW IT WAS A DREAM IF IT HAD BEEN ONE. I KNOW HE WAS THERE. HE HAD TO BE THERE. HE LOVED ME ENOUGH TO VISIT ME AGAIN."

She stormed out of the office feeling frustrated and angry at how Dumbledore didn't believe her. As she walked thought the familiar halls of Hogwarts the tension inside her started to grow.

She walked until she came upon the familiar dungeons where she had spent so many hours under the rule of Professor Snape.

She saw a beautiful light at the end of the corridor that glowed with a gorgeous luminescence that reminded her of Draco's secret and unseen smile and she knew that his spirit had come to see her again. The area around the spirit gave the same smell that Draco's hair gel did. It reminded her of warm apple pie and cinnamon.

All she could do was stare when it said to her, "Hermione, my beloved, please stop holding on to me. It causes me so much pain to see you this sad and you must stop and forget me."

"But I never want to forget about you. HOW CAN I JUST FORGET ABOUT THE PERSON I LOVED SO EASILY WHEN I DON'T WANT TO."

"If you want to remember, follow me," he whispered into her ear.

She followed him as he floated into a door and into an old abandoned classroom. She opened the door to see a painting of herself and Draco.

"I painted this for you. I even did it the muggle way. I want you to have it."

She stepped closer to the painting seeing just how beautiful it was. How all the colors mingled delicately together and how the sun in the background was so radiant and perfect. Their eyes shone like stares and their smiles radiated off of their faces. She lay on a pillow on the floor and stared unblinkingly at the picture.

She took her eyes off the picture and saw that Draco's spirit was gone. Then Dumbledore walked in and smiled at her showing a look of apology and helped her to her feet. He carried the picture in one hand and led Hermione to his office with the other. When they got inside he threw a fist full of Floo Powder into the fire and ushered her in as he said the words, "Granger Home." After Hermione was gone he set the painting into the fire hoping and praying it would make it back safe, for Hermione's sake. Intuition told him that it had.

The slight reappearance of her beloved had filled her with joy knowing he really truly cared for her. She left the castle and went home. Before she fell asleep a smile of joy crossed over her face as she heard Draco's voice and felt his presence for the third and last time. She fell asleep dreaming of her beloved, her Draco.

Draco's spirit watched over her from a distance from that day on fulfilling the promise he had made to himself so long ago. His promise to protect his beloved, his Hermione.

I really hope you enjoyed. It's my first fic and I really wanted to sort of show how much Draco really loved Hermione. Please Read & Review!!!
