For years it had lain in wait. For over twenty-five years it hadn't stirred. It was growing impatient. It had been created for one purpose, and it couldn't do that. But it knew it had a chance. They had a son, and that son was in love. Soon, it thought, soon I will be free.

It was not human, beast, animal, or any mythical creature. It was a curse, a curse that had been on them for generations. A curse so powerful, so evil, that it could think, and act, for itself.

It had been created to destroy the Malfoy family and it was close to destroying it. It couldn't wait to start. It was happy when it killed and it couldn't wait to be happy again. Once its rein of terror began nothing could or would stop it.

When the son asked that question it so longed to hear, he freed it for the one purpose it was made for...

...He led her into the library. Her red hair framed her angelic face. Her emerald dress swirled as she walked. He led her to the back of the library and to the couch in front of the fireplace. Once she was seated she started to look around. The library was dark and dusty. It had a moldy, decaying smell to it. Its torn black-velvet curtains kept any light from getting in. The only true source of light was the fireplace. There were a few old chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, but they only gave off a dim light. He sat down in a winged-back chair across from her.

"My dear," he said slowly. "I know that you and my son love each other very much. That is why I know that you want the best for him. If you truly love him, you will leave him... forever."

"You ask me to do the impossible. You are right about one thing sir; I live your son. But I love him so much that I know leaving him will kill him," she said.

"I have tried to except you for my son's sake. But that is impossible. He is my own flesh and blood," he whispered.

"It would seem, sir, to want nothing to do with your son. That even though he is your son, your own flesh and blood, you wish him dead," she assumed.

"It is true," he hissed. "But this family has never been able to show compassion. But before you marry my son, I will tell a secret so dark that you will wish you never agreed to marry my son..."

"No! I don't want to hear about your family's dark secrets! Your families past is soaked with blood, murder, hatred, and evil that if I should hear any secret I will hear it from the tongue of your son!" she shrieked at him.

"You will listen to me, girl!" he hissed.

"I will not!" she exclaimed, and quickly stood up and started to head towards the opposite end of the library.

He quickly stood up and grabbed her. With all his might he flung her against the fireplace. Her body smashed into the fireplace, and knocked the wind out of her.

"You may be a strong willed woman now, but you will learn your place as an obedient housewife!" he snarled at her and started to walk away.

As she struggled to get up she started to speak, "Sir, you are a disgrace to your family! The times have changed... even though you refuse to admitted it!"

"He will come back!" he hissed at her and quickly left the room. Before he could leave a bluish fog, that had been circling a chandelier formed an exact copy of him and knocked him out. It quickly hid the body in an antique wardrobe and went back to the girl. It then took the shape of Draco Malfoy.

"My dear, he only wants the best for us. Think of these as his way of testing out love," it said.

"Some times I hate him, other times I fear him. And some points in time I actually start to stand him. He acts like he knows what is best for you but he doesn't. I fought so hard to get you back once He took you, and I succeeded, but only at the lost of a friend. She fought so hard to free the world of him, and died for all of us. The song is still with me. Your father is the main reason for her death. I don't know what to think anymore," she said.

"The only thing you should be afraid of is me!" it said. It put its hand on her back and sent a charge of electricity up her body.

It felt like a thousand white-hot knives piercing her body. She screamed from the pain.

'That's right, my dear," it snarled, "scream for me!"

It let her body drop to the ground and quickly ran to the front of the library. It found a very old, and powerful spell book full of dark magic and started to look through it for a certain spell. A few moments later Draco rushed in. he ran over to it and grabbed it by the collar.

"What did you do to her? You bastard! You son-of-a-bitch! What the bloody hell did you do to her?" he snarled at him.

"Now, now Draco play nicely. Don't go insulting you grandma for giving birth to me," it said.

"I don't give a bloody shit about her! Now tell me where she is! Tell me!" he screamed.

"I did nothing to her. On the contraire, it was you who did anything to her. I told you not to get involved with the Bitch, but you just didn't listen. And know the whore got what she deserved," it said.

Ron rushed in behind Draco. He quickly pulled out his wand and stunned it. Draco let it drop and then bound it using his wand. He and Ron quickly started to search the library. Ron was the first to find her unconscious on her back.

"Malfoy! Get your ass back here! I found her!" Ron yelled.

Draco ran over to look at her.

"Well how is she?" Ron asked.

"There is no bruising, bleeding, or any other signs that she's been hurt. No trauma to the head. There is nothing to indicate that she's been hurt," Draco said.

"But that scorch mark on the back of her dress, what's that?" Ron asked.

"I don't know, but it didn't touch her skin," he said.

"What about her pulse? Shouldn't you check her pulse?" he asked.

As Draco checked her pulse, Ron started to pace. He was worried about his sister. He knew that she loved Draco, and it wasn't Draco he was worried about. It was the Malfoys in general. He didn't want to see his precious sister get hurt by the man she loved. He had to do something...soon.

"Ron," Draco said anxiously, "she doesn't have a pulse."
