Hermione rolled out of bed, glancing at her alarm clock groggily. Eleven am. She lazily stretched out and left the warmth of her bed. She jumped into the shower, the warm water waking her up. She spent a good ten minutes in there before she got out. She went back into her room and lazily dressed. It's a good thing it's Saturday, she thought to herself. She loved school, but just the last few days had been exhausting for her. She thought of what happened yesterday and remembered what happened in the library. She remembered the feel of his lips against hers. But what if he doesn't think of me like I do him? She sighed and walked downstairs. Harry and Ron came from the boy's dormitories, saw Hermione, and walked over. When Harry and Hermione saw each other, they smiled warmly. Ron looked at them both suspiciously but shrugged it off. Obviously he had forgotten about their secret keeping. So the trio went to breakfast, chatting avidly. At the end of breakfast however, when Harry and Hermione were about to get up, Ron stopped them.
"I know what's going on with you two, you know," Ron said. "You're dating. I dunno why you have to hide it from me. I'm okay with it. Congratulations! Really!"
Ron nodded enthusiastically. Hermione and Harry both glanced at each other with shocked faces. They sat back down and looked at each other. They both nodded, in consent to agreeing with the assumption.
"Yeah, Ron, you got it," Harry said, looking over at his friend. "We didn't tell you because we were worried you might get freaked out if we were, um, together."
Hermione nodded and looked at Ron. She smiled apologetically. "Yeah, sorry Ron. But you're okay with this?"
"Yeah," Ron nodded, stuffing a piece of toast in his mouth. "I always thought you two'd end up together. Just, um, no snogging in front of me okay? I mean, I need some time to like get used to it."
Harry and Hermione blushed and glanced at each other. "Yeah, no problem. Um, Hermione and I have to go to the library. We'll see you in Potions."
Hermione looked curiously at Harry but followed, saying goodbye to Ron as they left. As soon as they were out of the Great Hall, Harry pulled Hermione into a deserted hallway.
"What do we have to do in the library?" Hermione asked, quizzically.
"I just made that up. We have to talk. Um, we should probably go along with what Ron said. We are, um, dating," Harry said, looking away.
"Yeah," Hermione said. "It's a good reason for our secret keeping."
"So, um, what are we going to do about like this dating thing? By this afternoon, it'll be all over the school. It isn't only Ron that we have to fool," Harry said.
"Um, I suppose we could like date," Hermione said, her cheeks beginning to glow. "So, to all the school we'll be boyfriend and girlfriend."
"And to ourselves?" Harry asked softly.
"I guess you could say we are a little more than best friends," Hermione said, a small smile creeping up on her lips.
"Yeah, but what exactly does that mean?" Harry asked, giving a small smile as well.
"I don't know, but I guess we'll see where this takes us," Hermione said. Then, she slid her small hand into Harry's. He looked at her curiously. "But I wouldn't mind if we turned out to be more than just friends."
Harry grinned broadly and the two walked down the hall together, holding hands.

Draco sat at breakfast, watching the famous trio from his seat. Look at them, Potter and Weasley and the Mudblood Granger. God, they make me sick. All of them. Well, maybe not all. That Granger really has come along nicely and she is very fun to play around with. But she is always so caught up with those two that she'll never get a chance to know what it feels like to have a real man. Then, he saw Hermione and Harry stand up and hurry out of the Great Hall. He slowly got up and followed them out into a deserted corridor. He snuck behind a corner and listened.
"We have to talk. Um, we should probably go along with what Ron said. We are, um, dating," Harry said.
"Yeah," Hermione said. "It's a good reason for our secret keeping."
"So, um, what are we going to do about like this dating thing? By this afternoon, it'll be all over the school. It isn't only Ron that we have to fool," Harry said.

Draco saw Harry and Hermione walk past his dark corner, holding hands. His eyes stormed over. They shouldn't be dating. This is exactly what Potter wants and I will personally make sure he doesn't get it. He smirked and continued on his way. He headed back to his common room, hoping Crabbe and Goyle were done stuffing their faces with food at the Great Hall. He entered the portrait hole and saw Crabbe and Goyle playing Gobstones. He sat down beside them and joined their game.
"Hey Draco, what happened to you at breakfast?" Goyle asked, picking up his piece.
"I had some stuff to attend to," Draco said simply. The three simply wasted away the day playing Gobstones until the sun began to set. Draco remembered his note and let out a sigh. He got up and pulled his cloak over him.
"Where are you going?" Crabbe asked.
"Out," Draco said exiting the common room.
