Hermione silently trudged down the hall at a slow pace. Her leg still hurt and she had a heavy bag slung on her shoulder. Her body ached with every step she took and she briefly stopped. She readjusted her bag, wincing in pain, when she heard a drawling voice from behind her.
"Need a hand, Granger?" Hermione whipped around and saw a calm Draco Malfoy leaning against the wall. He had a slight sneer on his face and he was looking Hermione up and down.
"Not from you," Hermione replied coldly. She turned around again and continued walking. She glanced down on her watch and noticed the time. Eight o'clock exactly. She walked as fast as she could towards the library, but heard quiet footsteps behind. She knew Malfoy was following her.
"Why do you hate me so?" Malfoy asked sarcastically from behind her. Hermione rolled her eyes but didn't stop or turn around. She didn't even answer, and suddenly she felt a hand on her shoulder. Draco pulled her around to face him, their faces less than a foot apart. Hermione swallowed and slowly started to back away. She could attempt running but her leg was a major disadvantage.
"What's the matter Granger? Are you afraid of me? Can't handle being this close to me?" Draco said, taking a step forward with each step Hermione took. He sneered as Hermione backed up into a corner, not able to retreat any further. He stepped forward until his body was actually touching hers
"I changed my mind, Hermione. Maybe you are good enough for me to bed. It seems like you got the body," Draco said reaching forward. He gently brushed over Hermione's chest with his hand, running his finger through her upper body. She closed her eyes and pulled his hand away. Why do I like this? Why does this feel so good? Hermione, wake up! This is Draco Malfoy who is touching you! Snap out of it! She opened her eyes and tried to slide out from under him. But he stopped her and pushed her back into the corner, where she stood shaking.
"You don't have to be afraid of me, Hermione," he whispered, his hot breath sweeping her face. She took a deep breath. The way he spoke her name. It was so sexy. Hermione! Snap out of it. Get out of here. Now!
She once again tried to push past him but he resisted. Then, he slowly lowered his lips to hers and brushed them ever so slightly. A small moan escaped from Hermione's lips and Draco smiled mischievously. He pressed his lips harder against hers, turning the simple peck into a passionate kiss. Hermione simply stood in the corner, transfixed, unable to move. Her knees shook like jelly and she struggled to stay standing. Draco sensed this and moved his arm around her waist, supporting her fragile body. Then he slowly slid his hand up her shirt. It was then that Hermione realized what was happening.
She immediately broke the kiss, staring up at Malfoy with wide eyes. He smirked and leaned in for another kiss. She struggled to get loose from his grip but he just held onto her. She felt his hand leave her shirt, but only to come up in the front of her tank top. She felt his hand slide up to her breast, caressing it with his fingers. She let out a small cry, afraid of what was happening. He instead started pushing on her harder and Hermione desperately continued to escape. She tried to push him off of her but he didn't even budge.
"You can't escape you know. Anyways, I know you want me. Don't fight it," Draco said softly. He reached out and stroked her cheek. She quivered but continued to push away.
Suddenly, she heard a voice from down the corridor call out, "What is happening here?"
Both Hermione and Draco turned to face the voice. Professor Snape stood tall, observing the scene. Neither of them spoke. The scene looked exactly as it was and Professor Snape knew exactly what had happened.
Snape said quite coldly, "You may be dismissed to your common room Mr. Malfoy."
Hermione looked at the ground as Malfoy walked away, sneering at Hermione as he left. As soon as she was sure he was gone, she began to walk away.
"Where do you think you are going, Ms. Granger?" Snape called out to her. She stopped and looked back at him.
"I was going to the library to study, sir," Hermione said quietly, looking up at Professor Snape.
"Very well. On your way then," Snape stated. She nodded and continued slowly down the hall. She finally reached the library, pleased to see that Harry and Ron hadn't arrived yet. She did not really want to explain to Harry and Ron why she was late, especially Harry. She knew they would freak out and do something drastic. She took a seat at her usual table.. A few moments later, Harry and Ron showed up, out of breath. They spotted Hermione and quickly sat down next to her.
"Hey Hermione! Sorry we were so late. Quidditch ran late," Ron said, pulling out his books. "Bugger! I left my Potions book in the common room. I'll be right back."
Ron took off, streaming out of the library, leaving Hermione and Harry alone. They sat in silence for a moment before Harry spoke up.
"Hey, Hermione? I bumped into Malfoy just now in the hall and he was acting really weird, like particularly bad. I asked him why and he said, 'Why don't you ask Hermione,'. What did he mean by that?" Harry asked her, a concerned look in his eyes. Hermione shifted uncomfortably in her seat, not looking at Harry. But then Harry knew that something was really wrong.
"What happened Hermione?" Harry asked. Hermione looked away and took a deep breath.
