We Can Work It Out

It was a beautiful morning. The sky was bright and blue and the sun was shining through the window. Hermione woke up, rolled over in their bed and realized Ron was not there. She rolled back and stretched. She heard clinging and clanging and knew that her hubby was in his favorite habitat, the kitchen. She decided to consult her daily planner to see what was planned for the day. To her delight she had written down that it was a 'fight' day. She regularly scheduled fights to keep her arguing skills up to scratch. Ron did not care for them, but this is part of married life and he needed to accept that. She got out of bed and descended upon her prey.

Meanwhile, Chef Ron was busy making breakfast for himself and for himself. Temptation was head master in Ron's heart when it came to food. He did his level best to protect Hermione's portion from himself, but the hungry side of him prevailed. Life is full of choices he thought. He would just have to make another batch and do a better job of protecting his bride's portion from 'The Dark Side' of himself. It was then that he heard the sounds of approaching footsteps and knew the love of his life was upon him.

He felt her presence and turned about. There she was with her arms folded across her chest. Ron gave her a smile. She stood like a statue and did not return the smile. Ron quaked inside. For whatever the reason he knew instantly that he had Hurricane Hermione on his coast and he had better protect himself from this storm.

  1. "Good morning, my beautificus totalis."

  1. "Good morning, Ronald."

When Ron heard her reply to his sweet greeting, he knew something was amiss.

  1. "Why is it that whenever you make something for 'US' to eat, it ends up for you and you only?"

  1. "Well who put a flame under your watusi?"

Hermione put her hands on her hips.

  1. "How dare you refer to my 'Caboose" as a watusi."

  1. "What is your problem?"

  1. "As brilliant as I am, I can never understand you."

  1. "Face it oh brilliant one, I'm just too complicated for you to understand."

Hermione gave him a wide smile.

  1. "No Ronald, you are not complicated, you are just dingy in the loft."

  1. "You are always in a bad mood."

  1. "Ronald, as usual you are incorrect, I am in a bad mood some of the time, not all of the time."

  1. "You are such a baby. All you ever do is complain."

  1. "Can't you be more responsible?"

  1. "Do you always have to be right?"

They moved toward each other.

  1. "Why don't you ever listen to me?"

  1. "Why is it I can 'Never' please you?"

Hermione moved even closer.

  1. "You are just like your mother."

Ron had a very hurt look on his face. Hermione realized she had gone too far. He turned about with his back toward her.

  1. "If you don't like it here, why don't you just leave."

Hermione lowered her head and began to cry. Ron turned around and pulled her close in a loving embrace. He wiped the tears from her eyes and assured her that all would be well. He gave her a wink and told her that he would forever hold her securely in his strong arms and that he would always be there for her even in battle.

1 bay leaf

½ cup water

Directions:

Combine all ingredients. Cover tightly and bake at 275 degrees all afternoon.

Note:

Don't let Hermione snog me after eating. (The onions)

There was a mood swing.

  1. " I am so sorry Ron. I shouldn't have said that. I can't imagine life without you."

  1. "I'm sorry.

  1. "I appreciate all of the things you do for me."

  1. "I'm glad I married you."

  1. "You make me feel good."

  1. "I love to see your eyes sparkle when you smile."

  1. "You are wonderful."

  1. "You look gorgeous today."

  1. "I'm so proud to be married to you."

  1. "I don't feel complete with out you."

  1. "You are so special."

  1. "Thank you for accepting me."

  1. "Thank you for loving me."

Ron produced a 'Big' smile and then winked at her.

  1. "What is on your mind?"

  1. "As always, you look 'Very' nice today."

  1. "Thank you."

Ron turned his back to her and grabbed a spoon. He turned back toward her and had a wicked, wicked grin on his face.

  1. "I could eat you alive with this spoon."

  1. "Why a spoon my love?"

  1. "Because it will be delightfully slow."

Hermione placed her hand over her mouth and began to giggle without restraint. Ron moved toward her.

  1. "It is so nice to wake up next to you."

  1. "I wanted you this morning."

  1. "What can I do to help?"

Ron tossed the spoon behind him and then came to her and took her by the hand. She followed him. He led her up the stairs to their 'Uh' sleeping quarters. The door was half-open so he gave it a light kick.

  1. "Thank you for being my partner."

  1. "You make every day brighter."

  1. "I prize every moment we spend together."

Ron lifted her up into his arms, carried her over the threshold, and kicked the door closed.

Note: Forgiveness is a great concept, until you have to do it. However, if you can work it out, the benefits can be wonderful.

As always, dedicated to Emma Watson.
