It was no accident me finding you
Someone had a hand in it
Long before we ever knew
I closed my eyes and smiled, unusual for me. Of course it was dark and I was out wandering the school under my invisibility cloak. But back to the smile. I wasn't supposed to be smiling. I never smile when I meet people - I give them The SneerTM and be gone with them. But I had been smiling more and more lately, usually wrapped in the secret of the dark. But sometimes I'd let a smile slip in public.
I never expected to bump into her that night. It was a bit of magic, really. But magic can be expected as I am in Hogwarts. I knocked her over as I was racing down a staircase in another of my late night sneaks, and I knocked her over. I helped her up; she thought I was Harry.
Now I just can't believe you're in my life
Heaven's smilin' down on me
I tread carefully up the steps to the Astronomy Tower. That's where we were that destined night what seemed like years ago. Awhile ago I would skip my Astronomy class, trying to avoid the staircase that had brought us to the Secret Caverns. Now I'm careful, but I'm not afraid of it.
And nothing bad happened since then. I can't believe her sleek curls in shade of honey brown every time I see her. She laughs, noticing my caution on the staircase, but I'm perfectly happy. Even my father couldn't ruin my life anymore. Everything is perfect.
As I look at you tonight
I tip my hat to the keeper of the stars
He sure knew what he was doin'
When he joined these two hearts
She runs to me and hugs me as I reach the landing, and I hug her back. Still I look out a window and gaze at the starry sky. I don't know why we came together that fateful night two months ago, but surely it was more then coincidence. For now as I hold her, and she holds me back, I am happier then I've been ever before.
I hold everything
When I hold you in my arms
I've got all I'll ever need
Thanks to the keeper of the stars
Sweet kisses like chocolate are traded, a flavor more appreciated each night together. She's like a helpless puppy when I hold her, and I feel needed. I've never felt needed before, I've always just been there. A nuisance, a bother. Before that fateful night we would not speak. I called her Mudblood, she called me Ferret, but all is forgotten now. As we hold eachother, we both wonder why it took us nearly six year to find love.
Soft moonlight on your face oh how you shine
It takes my breath away
Just to look into your eyes
I know I don't deserve a treasure like you
She pulls away from me for just a moment and beams from the window illuminate her gentle features. Golden hair, soft flesh, topaz eyes. As I get lost in her beauty I wonder why she picked me. Why did she choose one who she's hated for so long? I know I don't deserve her, that's why I love her so.
There really are no words
To show my gratitude
It was no accident me finding you
Someone had a hand in it
Long before we ever knew
