Wrong Turn

Prologue...

Harry held on to his Thestral, nervous that he was too late. He looked back at the others. Some were bewildered like Hermione, Ron and Ginny. Then there were the others who knew the pain of loss. They were of course Neville, Luna and Adriana. Harry risked staring back at Adriana for a second. Even though he was scared that his godfather was already dead, just one look at her beautiful face, and he forgot all of that. She had a way of doing that.

Harry then looked away from her and started to think about how this was probably going to hurt Addy more than him. Sirius was of course her father and they had just started to have a relationship. Because he was in Azkaban for so long, he had missed out on her childhood. Adriana had recounted to Harry that she had one memory of him. At this point he was angry at Sirius and wanted to kill him. She wanted to prove to Harry that everyone was wrong, and that he didn't betray his parents to Voldemort. She remembered when he was sent to Azkaban. He kissed her softly on the forehead and with tears in his eyes said "remember me." She then showed Harry a beautiful locket necklace that showed her mother smiling on one side, and Sirius, looking young and reckless on the other side. Harry still remembers that pendant to this day. It was so strong to him. He had loved a woman. He had a child with a woman.

Harry always hated the abuse that she had gotten from everyone. Even people like Seamus and Neville. Her abuse from the Slytherins was enough for anyone weaker than her to break down. She kept that inside, and now that he could be dead, he was not sure how she was going to react. Would she become lonely and distant? Would she stop caring and kill herself, so that she could be with her father? Harry was not sure, but he knew that they still had a chance to save him if they made it there soon.

"What is that?" yelled Ron. Harry looked ahead and saw some kind of hole. Unlike the dark grey of the rest of the sky, this part of the sky was full of a darker black. It looked like some sort of loop hole that he had seen on one of Dudley's favorite science fiction shows. Harry stared at Adriana. She was half freedom fighter and the one person that always knew what was happening when there was something weird going on. She squinted at the hole, like she was trying to see something in it. She then frowned. Harry's stomach lurched. It was probably not good at all.

"That's a portal to somewhere in another place of time," she said with her thick Spanish accent. "There must be a freedom fighter time travel vehicle somewhere. I guess someone was going into the past. Or...," she trailed off, "maybe the future. You never know."

As soon as she stopped talking, there was a dark black vehicle that looked like a black Lamborghini coming towards them. As they tried to move their Thestrals out of the way, the "car" hit Hermione's Thestral and she started to fall to the ground. Everyone screamed and Ron swooped down and caught her in a split second. Hermione's Thestral had flown to the ground, looking very disgruntled. It also looked hurt with one wing set at a weird angle. It started to fly, but it was useless. The animal then flew up miraculously to the nearest Thestral, but then fell into the hole. Ron's Thestral swooped up and Hermione held on to Ron's middle. Ron and the Thestral had found their way up, and then went straight into the hole. The vehicle followed them and so did everyone else. With Adriana leading the way...
