- I got this idea from what a friend said to me once...very very fluffy...hope you like it!
It was a cold, snowy day in December. It was snowy enough to get yourself buried in an avalanche; but not quite cold enough to get yourself frostbite while having a snowball fight on the grounds. That's exactly why Ron, Hermione, Harry, and Ginny were outside; having a snowball fight. Well, sort of. They were actually trying to build a snowman that resembled Draco Malfoy and pelt it with snowballs, but that wasn't really working.
"Watch out!!" yelled a red-faced Ron, trying to catch up with the ball of snow that was to be the bottom of the snowman as it rolled down a hill towards the others.
Turning to see an ever-growing snowball coming towards them, they scattered, tripping over their snowballs, cloaks, and themselves in a hurry to get away from Ron's snowball.
"Oh bugger!" exclaimed Ginny as she sat up, covered in snow, having tripped over herself and went headfirst into a snow bank.
"That's the fifth time, Ronald. How about you try and sit while we do the body?" said Hermione in a matter-of-fact tone.
Puffing and red, Ron plopped down in the snow, re-adjusting his hat on his head.
Finally, without anymore snow issues, Harry, Hermione, and Ginny had the body in tact and were now decorating with the help of a thoroughly embarrassed Ron who kept apologizing for not being able to control snowballs.
"Honestly, Ron, it's okay!" Hermione said for the umpteenth time. Harry and Ginny stifled laughs--they knew a quarrel was coming on.
"No, it's not Herm, I could have killed you all!" said Ron, dropping the carrot he was about to apply to the face.
"Be reasonable, it couldn't have killed us."
"No, you be reasonable, I was being really immature!"
Harry and Ginny, who were now being ignored in light of the current bickering, went for a walk around the frozen lake, laughing at their friends.
"...Bickering like an old married couple!" Ginny said, holding her side in laughter.
"Two old hens..." Harry added.
Picking up some snow, Ginny rolled it into a compact ball.
"Better not throw that at me," said Harry with a sly grin.
"I'm not going to," said Ginny, kneeling in the snow. "I'm making another snowman."
The smile on Harry's face grew as he crept behind her, rolling a ball of his own. Taking aim, he threw it, right on the back of her head.
Stopping her busy-work, Ginny turned to face Harry who was getting a little scared. "Harry James Potter, you have opened a can of worms and you're going to find out how poisonous they really are!" With a leap, she tackled him, pinned him down, and shoved snow in his face.
"Uncle, uncle!!" Harry yelled through his laughter, trying to get her off of him.
Laughing, Ginny rolled off of him and laid in the snow with her arms spread out, moving up and down with her legs; she was making a snow angel.
No longer laughing, Harry got up and looked down on Ginny making her angel. "What're you doing?"
"Making a snow angel," Ginny replied, still slightly giggly.
"You don't have to make a snow angel, Gin," said Harry lightly.
"Why's that?" she said, stopping and looking up at him.
"You've already got one." Harry bent over, holding out his hand to Ginny.
Ginny took it and stood up. Harry moved closer to her, taking in her cold, wintery smell.
"What..." Ginny started, but was stopped by Harry, who pressed his hand to her mouth.
"Ginny Weasley, I want to be your angel." With that Harry grabbed Ginny's other hand and kissed her.
Ginny, who was mildly surprised, took a minute to register what was happening. Realizing that Harry Potter--the Harry Potter she had loved since that day he saved her, the Harry Potter that never thought of her as anything more than his best friend's sister--was kissing her.
Breaking away from her, Harry looked into her eyes, instantly apologizing for never looking at her before, never realizing she was there. Ginny understood and forgave him.
Whispering into his ear, Ginny said, "You already are."
