- Author's Note:
- To my mom, for having the idea of sending her to Stonehenge ;-)
Snape gave me detention. I had to do ALL the dishes from today. ALL of them. BY MYSELF. WITHOUT MAGIC.
I would have been happier if he'd killed me. It was horrible, greasy, grimy, sweaty work. It took me hours. I can barely write.
I think it's probably about one AM. That means it's . . . October twentieth. I'm going to sleep. ‘Night, Diary.
October 21, 1995
Harry woke me up today at about noon. I could have screamed, I couldn't believe he'd have let me sleep in that late. I went down to the prefect's bathroom (Did I mention I was a prefect?) and took a bath, then went back upstairs to the Gryffindor common room. Harry, Ron, and I all chatted, and it was just like old times. Ron didn't even stare at me.
Harry hasn't been the same since the end of the Tournament. I think witnessing Cedric's death has sparked something inside of him, determination or whatever. He's more driven to defeat You-Know-Who than ever.
Ron is just Ron. Good old Ron. I can't believe I said before that I didn't like him. I do, as a friend. It just gets so frustrating sometimes. But he's the one part of my life that never changes. He's still so /////////////
Whatever. Anyway.
Me . . . I can't tell either of them what I'd like to say sometimes. They're boys. Sometimes I wish I had a girl to talk to. A sister, a friend, even my mom would be fine. I just need to tell someone. Everything. I guess you could say I'm detained within my soul.
Well, I still owe Snape that essay, and I have Transfiguration and Arithmancy homework. Harry and Ron are playing Gobstones. I can't believe them. They have Divination and Transfiguration homework, and they're lounging around as if it's summer vacation. We've got our OWLs this year. I'm already doing NEWT practise papers!
McGonagall just came into the common room. Gosh, I've got to find a way to disguise this thing. I can't pretend it's homework forever.
I will be back in a minute, Professor McGonagall's trying to get everyone to shut up.
Later
I'm so happy I think I'm going to die. Somebody pinch me. I think I must be dreaming.
Instead of going to Hogsmeade next weekend, we're going to visit . . . Stonehenge! I've seen it billions of times with my parents, but it'll be fascinating to study it from a wizard point of view.
Well, I'm trying to do all my homework at the same time, as well as write in this, and it's getting a little complex, so I think I'll put this down for a while.
Later Still
I'm so excited I can't sleep. I've always simply loved Stonehenge, but this really beats all. We'll have to wear Muggle clothing, of course, Professor McGonagall is going to transfigure some of our clothes into sweaters and jeans and then back afterwards. But we'll get to learn about how the ancient wizards used their versions of wands (Sticks with unicorn hair stuck to it, they couldn't find any phoenixes or get close enough to any dragons to get phoenix feather or dragon heartstring.) to levitate those giant rocks and get them in the circle position. They would use the place (Which even they knew was powerfully magical.) to concentrate their magic to do tiring spells.

Well, we've all got loads of homework, I've got it from every teacher, Harry and Ron didn't get it from Trelawney. Must go finish it. Write more later.
