Lily and James

Lily Evans walked out on Hogwarts grounds in early June and waited for her friend, Alice Johnson. They walked through the crowds and sat under an oak tree. Alice Lily saw Alice looking at Frank Longbottom and giggled.

"What's so funny, Lily?" Alice snapped out of her trance and looked at Lily.

"You and Longbottom? Please!" Lily laughed.

"Oh, don't act like you and Potter haven't been going out!" Alice said loud enough.

"That was only twice! James is okay. I've really got my eyes on that Sirius Black character." Lily's vivid green eyes went all dreamy like.

"You and every other girl in the seventh year." Alice and Lily stood up and walk over to the lake. Lily spotted James, Sirius, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew and sighed.

James looked at Lily and his knees were suddenly weak. "You know what guys? I think I'm gonna marry Lily Evans. Yup, she's the one." James sat down and continued to stare at Lily and Alice.

"Uh, James? I think the N.E.W.T. exams have got to you. Lily's out of your reach." The group of rowdy seventeen-year-old boys laughed as Sirius said this.

"Oh yeah? Well who's she going to marry, Snape?" James retorted.

"Yeah, look." Remus pointed over to the lake and James saw Lily and Alice talking to the most hated seventh year around, Severus Snape.

"Why that little--I just want to--GAH!" James's eyes were blood-shot and his hair was soaked with sweat.

"Take it easy, man. Look, he's walking away, and Lily coming towards us!" Remus was trying to cheer James up.

James spun around and said, "Really?" Lily and Alice sat down next to Sirius and Peter.

"Hi boys." Lily said in an oh-so-sexy voice that made James's heart drop.

"Uh...Lily? Can I tell you something, alone?" James looked at his friends, knowing they'd want to come along and here what he had to say.

"Sure," Lily said as she followed James some 20 feet away. She looked around and saw Alice run over to Frank Longbottom and watched them kiss. She imagined that was her and James. Sure, she told Alice that she likes Sirius, but she was madly in love with James Potter.

"Well, um...Lily. I--I really, really, really like you. In fact, I think I might me in love," James said quickly.

Lily looked relived and said, "Oh James, I really like you, too!" The next thing she knew, James gripped her shoulders and kissed her on the lips. Lily returned the kiss almost immediately.

Sirius, Remus, and Peter all were watching Lily and James make-out.

Sirius spoke up after they watched for about two minutes, "Aw, finally, some true love."

James and Lily walked back to Sirius, Remus, and Peter, hand-in-hand. James was grinning ear-to-ear.

"Guess what guys?" He said with a smile, "We're engaged!" Lily smiled, too.

Sirius, Remus, and Peter all looked at each other and laughed. "You're joking, right?" Remus was laughing so hard, tears were running down his face.

"Nope." Lily said calmly. James and Lily were finally engaged.

Alice and Frank also got married and had a son named Neville and they were tortured and Lily and James had a son named Harry and they were murdered. Neville lived with his gran, and Harry with his Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia.
