Wisest Weasley Said
Once upon a time the wisest Weasley said,
He used to care that his hair red.
He used to care that he was poor,
But he doesn't see it like that anymore.
And one day that Weasley told me,
It's best to make thing as simple as can be.
"Don't sweat the small stuff, don't worry at all,
And don't forget to make it all small."
Height was a factor that agreed in the utmost
For it was the trivial accomplishment he would boast.
But as he grew taller, so did his mind.
A silent genius biding his time.
Beat me at chess once, beat me at chess twice,
But I still thought it laughable--he was afraid of spiders and mice.
And even though he could beat me senseless,
Never touch a fly if it was defenseless.
The wisest Weasley showed me the all-bright
Even if he didn't have much insight.
I was cruel, I was evil, I was mean, I was vile,
But that wise Weasley oaf still made me not smirk--but smile.
~*~
It had been a while since we crossed paths,
Moving in our intricate labyrinthical maze of maths.
'Cos it didn't add up, him and I,
Really, he was such a different kind of Guy.
I tried to kill maybe once, maybe twice,
Still had the gall to be evil and un-nice.
Even the unwise realise all things with time,
His life sucked and so did mine.
It wasn't for the lack of love,
But I was in a torrent of waves I couldn't rise above.
Cast off by what was too smart and too bright.
Not even looking in the mirror could feel right.
Because, exactly who was I anyways?
I couldn't even distinguish friends from enemies.
So maybe that was why I got close to that vile thing,
Jeering voice ringing like a cracked bell, binga-dinga-ding-ding
He didn't understand how it was to be poor,
Working, scraping, hands and knees on the floor.
But he saw me when no once else would,
Even if noticing meant hurting me when he could.
~*~
I told him what I am and who I was
But he never judged "Just because,
You can change who you are if you wanna be,
Un-weighted of desperate fear and animosity."
The wisest Weasley is what he was known by,
Strange, he was only wise in my eye.
He opened up to me and only me.
To the rest of the world he was an unknown mystery
His friends forgot about if that can even be believed,
If it was me I would have been relieved,
But alas he was not and wallowed for a while.
The injustice made me mad so again, I became vile.
It's funny how we repeat the same patterns over again
He had given up so much to be my friend.
I couldn't stay away from him for that worthy duration
The first time I apologized for real was with a good explanation
He could have worn polka-dots with a "I'm Dim" sign
But I didn't care because in my mind, he was all mine.
The wisest Weasley actually taught were to put the pawn,
Maybe someday I'll be able to say "I'm sorry and I love you Ron."
~*~
Like I said before, it's hurts when he notices me,
Because I know we could never be.
He doesn't love me--that would be taboo,
But I love him even if he's associated with you-know-who.
I've been waiting for him to show me something so I won't leave
Do how I always do when I can't cry and roll up my sleeve
"It's a rainy day and I'm feeling blue,
I dropped everything to be with you."
So I'll punch a wall and let out my frustration
In hopes to be lifted of this curse, reach my emancipation
For I am but a fool and I know everyone sees me this way,
So I'll fake my happiness and this is how I'll stay.
A desperate fool who will never be wise
And nothing but a Weasley till my demise
But maybe that day isn't so far from were I am
I tried to grow up and to be man.
I left my friends so we could be like friends on a mat
But I guess we'll never be more than just that
Well we had some times, going to go jump on the next lorry
I'll always wonder if you would have ever said, "I love you, I'm sorry."
Author notes: I'm usually not real big on this slash, I'm actually a huge D/G shipper but I did this for a friend.
