Author's Note:
Yes, you heard it right. It's the end. I'm trying to challenge my imagination by coming up with new concepts. For those who were hoping there'd be more, don't sweat. I've already started two R/H fics--not one-shot fics. Hope you will like those too. :P

Dear Hermione,

Hi! Sorry I'm owling you so early. This cute girl just left my room and she reminded me so much of you. So, I thought I'd write you. How are you now? Hope you're feeling better. Take care today, okay? Bye.

Ron

Dear Ron,

A cute girl, huh? In your room? I suppose you got lucky? Come on then, spill it. I want all the details. I just got home too. I spent the night, morning to be accurate, in this hunk's house. You should meet him. He's like your twin brother. What you lack in manners he makes up for though.

Doing so much better now. Thankfully, my parents were still asleep when I got back.

H

Dear H,

A hunk you say? And with manners to boot? He can't be from Hogwarts, unless he's Harry. And I know it's not him because he's already taken. Unless he's two-timing my sister, then I'll have to kill him...Anyway, I'm getting carried away.

Oh, yes, the girl...It was quite weird actually. She came apparating to my bedroom in the middle of the night. I was shocked. At first I thought it was a vision. Granted, it was a great vision, but I didn't fancy going crazy. As it turns out I wasn't crazy; she was really there and crying too. That definitely woke me up! Imagine a crying girl on my bed?! You'd think I did something to her!

I think this is all I'm going to tell you now. Tell me about your hunk first. He sounds awfully interesting.

R

Dear R,

You're right. I would think you did something to her! Haha...Just kidding. I'm sure it wasn't your fault. Or was it? What happened next? You're hiding something. I can smell it. Spill it already!

Oh, my hunk was great. He was really nice and sweet. I honestly don't know what came over me. I think he put a charm on me to come running to him that night. See, I had the most horrible nightmare and he popped into my head just like that. Feeling sad and lonely, I went to him. I don't know what I was expecting when I came there, but he was really understanding. He gathered me in his arms and comforted me.

I slept in his bed. Can you believe it? I can't either...You tell me more of your story and I'll continue mine.

H

* * *

H,

You slept in his bed? Prefect, Ms. Prim-and-Proper Hermione slept in a guy's bed? Are you sure you should be confessing this bit of juicy information to me?

My girl was nice and sweet too. She slept with her head on my chest, arms around me. Nothing happened just then. We slept with our clothes on, I mean. Honestly, I can be a gentleman. I don't take advantage of vulnerable women. Still, she was a beautiful girl. The thought did cross my mind. I got a kiss to her head at least...Okay I know it doesn't count! Still, it was priceless.

R

* * *

R,

You, a gentleman? Ha! Very funny!

I'm glad you could practice a little bit of self-control sometimes. I'm sure the girl appreciated it. And what do you mean by "nothing happened just then?" Do you mean to say something happened after? I knew it!

And what thought did you mean when you said, "the thought did cross my mind?"

You're really getting me curious about this girl now. She sounds special.

H

* * *

H,

Honestly, Hermione! Do you have to analyze everything I say to you? My letter is not an Arithmancy problem. Not that I even know how to write in runes, but you could ease up on the interrogation? Nothing happened!

R

PS For your information, the girl IS special...

* * *

R,

Right. Change the subject! Smart.

H

PS. She is?!

* * *

Dear Sweet Girl,

Yes, she is special.

You don't know how my heart broke seeing her slumped on my bed, crying. I tried to be strong when I saw the sadness in her eyes, but my head was in turmoil. I wanted to take her grief away and assure her that everything was alright. I was so glad when she calmed down. I was even gladder that she stayed that night. I wanted to be there when she had another nightmare. I wanted to be the one to hold her when she cried again. I wanted to chase all her bad dreams away, period.

R

* * *

R,

I don't know what to say.

When I woke up from that dream, I was filled with so much fear and grief. It just seemed so real and possible. I'm glad it wasn't true. I don't know what I would do with myself if it were real. I couldn't live with it. I just couldn't...

I'm glad he comforted me. I'm glad I came and stayed the night. Ron, you don't know how much you mean to me. You mean a lot. But words are so insufficient to show you how much...

H

* * *

H,

I read your words, but can't quite comprehend them. My mind is screaming: It can't be true! Did I understand your words right? Because if I did...I really hope I did...Then why me?

Hermione, I have nothing special in me. I don't have riches or brains. I have nothing but what I feel for you, which for me is not enough. I want you to have the best of everything. I know I'm not the best. I wish I were...

R

* * *

Ron,

If I were there right now, I would whack you in the head with a book! Nothing special? Well, what do you call yourself then? A big lump of goo? You're a human being and you're not perfect. I never had an ideal man designed in my head. I always believed in getting to know someone first. People's flaws do not make them any less lovable. Your flaws are what endear me to you. They make you the lovely, adorable and sweet Ron that you are. Only you would push me away when I am virtually offering myself to you.

Hermione

* * *

Hermione,

Offering yourself to me? You know, you shouldn't make offers like that. I just might take you up on it...

What kind of offer are you making anyway?

Ron

* * *

I'll tell you when I get there. Really, Ron! I'm coming there tomorrow morning. Can't it wait?

* * *

Actually, I don't think I could've asked that to your face.
