Author's notes: Harry is wicked smart but the least popular and Hermione is the most popular but not as smart as in the books. She is smart though. Professor Moodey is the real one, not Barty Crouch Jr. and there is no tri-wizard tournament.

The Gryffindors all sit the common room chatting with their friends and playing games. All except one, Harry Potter. He sits in a corner on the floor studying. "Got to get ready for the Potions exam. Everything else is done, Divination, Ancient Runes...and that...and that. Just have to figure out how to perfect that revival potion..."

Then, Seamus comes along. "Hey, Marry-I mean, Harry. How do you make a sleeping potion?"

"Why?"

"'Cause I don't know how to make one," Seamus says in a matter-of-fact voice.

Harry explains the potion and then Seamus throws a book he'd been hiding behind his back at Harry. As Harry cups his hands over his nose in pain, Seamus laughs at him.

"Thanks for the tip."

Harry gets up and runs out of the common room. He heads out towards the Astronomy Tower to be alone. "God, I help him and he hits me in the nose, what a thick head. I'll never help him again." Harry thinks, and then changes his whole attitude. "No, Harry, you deserved that, and you will help him again. That's all you're really good for, no wonder you don't have any friends."

Harry arrives at the tower and sits down on the steps. He pulls out his wand and repairs his bleeding nose, now all he has is a stuffy nose. He sits there criticizing himself for an hour and a half until it is time for dinner.

Harry arrives at dinner while some of the Gryffindors laugh at him. He sits on the end of the table away from everyone else and eats. Although, he only has a small piece of turkey and a little pumpkin juice so he can punish himself for upsetting Seamus.

As dinner ends he heads off to the common room, getting shoved into walls and tripped to the floor. He doesn't say or do anything back to the people; he just believes he deserves it. A few times he drops his books and everyone laughs at him or ignores him as he picks his books up.

He arrives at the common room and goes straight to bed while everyone else chats with his or her friends.

The next day in Defense Against the Dark Arts, the students are being taught how to stun each other.

"Alright everyone, pair off with a partner and try to use the stuperfy spell to stun them," Professor Moodey tells them as he goes up to his office.

Everyone pairs off with their friends except for Harry. He stands in the corner reading the textbook on advance stunning techniques.

Then, Hermione Granger, the most popular and well-liked girl in school, approaches Harry. "Harry?"

Startled that Hermione actually is talking to him, he drops his book. "Oh, sorry." He picks it up. "What is it?"

"Well, Lavender is sick today so I don't have a partner."

Harry stands there confused.

"So I was wondering if you would be my partner today."

"What? M-me...b-be your partner?"

"Yeah, I'm not very good at stunning spells anyway."

"I, er...uh, okay."

The two get a good ways away from each other. Harry nods and Hermione fails at the stunning spell, creating red sparks instead.

Harry walks over to her. "No, you should wave your wand like this. Then it will work properly," he says as he demonstrates the proper technique.

Harry steps backward a couple times and Hermione performs the spell flawlessly. Needless to say, Harry goes flying into the wall. Laughter erupts around the room.

"Wow, Harry, you got beat by a girl, you're so pathetic."

Hermione goes over and helps up Harry, who is depressed beyond anything he's felt before.

"Are you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine," Harry says quietly and in a depressed voice.

The bell rings and Harry quickly gathers his books and leaves the room. Seamus walks up next to him. "So, Harry, you got beat by a girl, a bloody girl!" He laughs. "So how did it feel? I bet it felt like this." Seamus shoves Harry into the wall hard. Harry's books scatter all over the place and Seamus laughs as he walks away with his friends.

As Harry slowly fails at trying to get up, Hermione comes and kneels next to him. "Harry, are you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"I don't like it when they push you around like that." She helps pick up his books.

"I'm used to it, I deserve it anyway." Getting the last of his books he hurries off to his next class. "Thank you, I've got to go."

Hermione stands up, concerned for Harry.

"You were meant to suffer, that's why you were created. It was by the mercy of God that someone helped you. She probably lost a bet, that's the only reason she would have been nice to you. No one would ever want to help you. You are just so pathetic, you should have done something for her you arse."

Harry goes through out his day getting picked on and beat up a few times. He doesn't go to dinner, instead he sits out at the Black Lake, thinking about how no girl could ever like him.
