Author's Note:
Hi everyone! Sorry this chapter took so long to write! I've been really busy, and I had to change it a few times because I wasn't happy with it. So it better be worth the read. The third chapter is on its way. Enjoy and please review!

Ginny stood beside her bed, astonished. She couldn't believe what had just happened. It was her. Draco Malfoy had been looking for her. To tell her that he liked her. It seemed like some sort of miracle. She had been going to see Hagrid about her problems with Draco. It wasn't that she actually liked the guy, well, maybe. She wasn't sure. That was why she needed advice. Sitting down on her bed, Ginny rethought the scene in her head, and sighed as Draco's face rose in her mind. His gorgeous hair, his deep, meaningful eyes, not to mention his body...
Ginny's trail of thought was interrupted by a rather loud snore from Parvati next door. Sighing, she stood up and hurried out of the dormitory and through the common room as quietly as she could, down to Hagrids' hut. Ginny knocked loudly on the door three times before stepping back, startled by a noisy bark from Fang, who nearly knocked her over as Hagrid opened the door for her.

"Hey! Calm down there, now, Fang," said Hagrid, pushing him aside. "Hi there, Ginny. Have a seat."

Ginny smiled and nodded and sat down on a chair, eyeing some cakes on the table. However, she wasn't sure if she should help herself, from several past experiences with Hagrid's cooking. She decided no, and looked up to see Hagrid pouring some tea into two cups.

"Now," said Hagrid friendly. "What can I do fer you?"

"Well, um, there's something that I need advice about." Ginny was rather nervous to talk about this with Hagrid, but she was sure he would tell her the right thing to do.

"Advice? Well what are you comin' to me fer, then, eh? I'd have thought you'd be goin' to Hermione fer that."

"Um, well, I don't think that she would...er...approve."

"Approve?" Hagrid looked surprised. Ginny and Hermione usually got on very well. "Of what?"

"Um...well, there's someone that...um...I...er...have feelings for...and...um..."

"Have feelings for now, eh?! And who might this lucky someone be?"

"Um..." Ginny was stuttering now. "That's the thing. This guy is...um...well, he is...er..."

"Come now Ginny, no need to be frightened! I won't tell no one."

"Er...okay. It's...um...Draco Malfoy." She rushed his name; almost so fast that Hagrid couldn't understand what she said. Ginny looked down at her knees and twiddled her thumbs, not wanting to see Hagrids reaction.

"Draco? Draco Malfoy?!"

Ginny looked up. "Yes. And, I mean, I know that he's not really who anyone expected. Everyone thought it was going to be me and Harry. But I stopped liking him at the end of third year, and I know this for sure. But...oh, I don't know. Maybe I am wrong." After that burst of hope, she suddenly felt confused about her feelings. She looked down again.

"Are you kiddin'? Look, Ginny, there's a lesson that you've gotta learn. If you want something, you have to try and get it - it won't just come to you. If you do have feelings for him, jus' tell 'im."

"Simple as that, huh?"

"Simple as that. Look, I'm sure everything will turn out the way you want it to."

Ginny looked at Hagrid. "But what about the others? What about Hermione and Harry and Ron?" Suddenly Ginny realised something. Ron. "Ron! What if he finds out! He'll kill me!!" She stood up in a rush of panic.

"Ginny! Ginny, it's okay. I'll sort out Ron fer you. You just go and find who you need to."

"Oh!" Ginny gasped. "You will? Thankyou Hagrid!" She wrapped him in as big a hug as she could manage.

Hagrid smiled. "You're welcome. Now off you go."

Draco paced back and forth in his room. He had no idea what he was going to do. He had felt sure that he was going to tell everything to her tonight, but when he found her bed empty, he had lost all his confidence. Wait a minute. Draco Malfoy has lost his confidence? That was not right. Malfoys never lose confidence. And he was thinking that he had? Draco sighed out of frustration. What was wrong him, he thought? All this over a girl who he was too scared to talk to? Why on earth could he not ask the girl out that he had loved from the moment he laid eyes on her, when he had gone out with so many other girls in the school? And, for that matter, why on earth didn't she want to go out with him? Well, he didn't know for sure, but she certainly wasn't showing any feelings towards him. That is, apart from hatred and a rather nasty comment or two, which was rather surprising coming from Ginny, Draco thought.

He sighed again, trying to clear his mind, but he just couldn't. Draco tried again. No, not working. He walked over to the window and closed his eyes, only to see Ginny's face in his mind. He threw himself on the bed and muffled his yells of frustration and confusion with his pillow.
