Ginny hurried downstairs to find Harry, Ron, and Hermione waiting for her.

"Happy Christmas!" They chorused.

"Happy Christmas," she said, plopping down on the couch. "Are there any presents for me?"

"Maybe..." Ron said with a grin.

"Hand them over, Ron," Ginny said, scowling at him.

Ron tossed her a box from home. Inside was a Weasley sweater with a lion on the front.

Hermione leaned over and whispered in her ear, "Maybe she should have put a snake on it."

Ginny glared at her, partly shocked. "There's a present from me, but it's upstairs," Hermione explained with a wink.

Ginny's heart beat hard in her chest. She knew that meant that the present was not for Ron or Harry's eyes.

"Here, Ginny," Harry said, handing her a box. "It's from me. It's not much, but..."

Ginny opened the box. Inside was a book, with the title: Defence against the Enemy.

"Thanks, Harry," Ginny said as she flipped through the pages.

"Okay, Gin, it's my turn," Ron said. He handed her a medium-sized box. "It's not much, but it was all I could afford."

Ginny lifted the top and smiled. Inside was a photo album. Ginny opened the album. The first page was a picture of Hermione, Harry, and Ron. There were several pictures of the Weasleys and a picture of Luna filled one of the spaces.

"There's plenty more space," Ron explained. "You can take pictures of your friends and put them in here."

"Thank you, Ron," Ginny said, giving him a large hug.

"Well, Ginny, we should probably get dressed," Hermione suggested. Ginny was not fooled. She knew that Hermione just wanted to give Ginny her present. The two girls went upstairs to Hermione's dormitory.

"What did you get me?" Ginny asked excitedly.

Hermione handed her a huge box, which Ginny immediately threw the lid off of. She gasped at what was inside. Gently, Ginny removed a short green dress covered in rhinestones, from the box.

"Hermione," Ginny said, her eyes filling with tears. "It's amazing. No one has ever given me anything this beautiful."

Ginny gently placed the dress on the bed and wrapped her arms around Hermione, burying her face in her friend's shoulder.

"Well, I figured you'd need something to surprise Draco with when he gets back," Hermione told her.

"He's going to have a heart attack when he sees that," Ginny said. "But in a good way."

Hermione giggled as they pulled apart. "Did Draco like your gift?"

"Yes," Ginny said. "It was perfect. Thanks for helping me."

"Well, I couldn't let him get you something horribly expensive while you got him something not even worth two Knuts. Speaking of that, what did he get you?"

"A book of love poems," Ginny said. "It's wonderful."

"That's so sweet!" Hermione squealed.

"What did Harry get you?"

"A bouquet of roses," Hermione said, motioning to the roses by her bed. "And this." Hermione pulled a small box out of her pocket and opened it. Ginny gaped at the pink gem that sat on the gold ring.

"Is that -"

"An engagement ring," Hermione said, her eyes welling with tears.

"Hermione, you're not even out of school!"

"Ginny, when you love someone as much as I love Harry, it doesn't matter if you're only five years old," Hermione told her. "You just know you want to spend the rest of your life with that person."

Author notes: There's only two more chapters! Are you getting excited? Nervous? Scared? Happy? Let me know!
Now, I know you'll love me for this. I'm going to give you a quote from the next chapter, which is very action filled! Here it is:

Draco gazed down upon Hermione, unsure of what to do. Then, as if he could feel her gaze, he looked up at Ginny. He mouthed the words: I love you.
