Ginny and Draco are in their Sixth and Seventh years. When a mysterious explosion shatters the peace of Hogwarts, Ginny decides to do some investigating of her own, and ends up saving Malfoy's life. But who's after him? Why would anyone risk the wrath of Voldemort's most favored supporter? And when Harry, Hermione, and Ron do some snooping around, will they trust Malfoy enough to share what they know? Prejudice and bitterness abound between all, but will Ginny and Draco's feelings succumb to these, or will they choose to embrace the fire between them instead? School has begun, and Draco's year isn't starting too well. A confrontation with Ginny in the Dungeon leads to thoughts of vengeance, as well as to the realization that she isn't the little girl he remembers!

Recovering from the attack, Ginny is invted to spend the day at Hogsmeade with her brother and Harry, unaware that Draco has also made plans to be there. Will her heart ever truly recover from the love she has hidden from Harry all these many years? A trip to the beauty shop might be all she needs! Not just another pretty makeover (Promise)! Determined to crush rumors of weakness, Draco heads for Hogsmeade, Pansy on his arm. While there he finds himself confronted by inner demons and shadowy rivals from his own House. Amidst speculations of his mysterious luck and conspiracy theories from paranoid Slytherfemmes, Draco begins to wonder if, for once, HE is the hunted. Harry puts his two cents in, while Remus Lupin and his mysterious companion arrive with fresh, and dangerous, intelligence for Dumbledore to ponder. Snape, Pansy, Harry, Lupin, and O/C Elizabeth Morgan.

Where can a confused Slytherin go to for some friendly advice and understanding? To an older, former Slytherin, of course! Severus Snape plays Dear Abbey in the first part of this chapter, which climaxes with an accidental meeting in the kitchens between Draco and Ginny. Will Ginny be able to keep her temper, or will His Royal Jerkiness Draco Malfoy force her to glue his mouth shut? Then it's on to QUIDDITCH! Gryffindor is victorious (of course!) and there's a party going on. But Ginny's celebratory mood is tainted by questions. Who is Elizabeth, and what is her interest in Draco? In an attempt to clear her head, Ginny stumbles across Malfoy and the girl he'd most like to forget exists, and realizes her feelings for Draco have gone deeper than she ever imagined. But when a group of rogue vampires strike out, will Draco live long enough for them to explore their burgeoning love? The Plot thickens, and the Trio guest star

Is Elizabeth all she claims to be? Snape doesn't think so, and his prejudice almost leads to blows between himself and the former DADA teacher, Remus Lupin in the first part of this chapter. Then Ginny finds that not all Slytherins are dour and cold. Caleb Anderson, the Quidditch announcer and fellow sixth year Slytherin to Draco Malfoy, shows her that open humor and charm can be tempting. As Draco broods over his relationship with his father, he finds himself confronted with the realization that bonds between family, however weak, are nevertheless vital for guidance. Will he find the strength to walk his own path? And will he notice Ginny being stolen out from under his nose before it's too late?

Draco stands beside the Lake, contemplating his dysfunctional relationship with his father. He's endured the longest and hardest week of his life, and as he reflects on the unraveling of familial bonds, he's forced to confront the knowledge that, without a father, he has no guidance. She finds that insults can be both colorful and sidesplitting when male egos are at stake! But when she runs into Ron and Hermione unexpectedly, Ginny can only hope her brother doesn't kill her! Until they run into Elizabeth Morgan, then the danger of death becomes all too real.

Ginny, Draco, and Caleb have been betrayed and kidnapped. Who is behind this, their captors won't say. But soon the Trio learn what's amiss, and the chase begins with a little help from their least favorite Professor. Who'd have thought?

The Trio realize that Ginny is missing, and The Headmaster is summoned. Old, old magic is used to trace their steps, and with Snape and Lupin helping to track them, the Trio hope to find them before it's too late. Meanwhile Ginny succeeds in breaking free of her bonds, and while attempting to free Draco finally experiences the fullness of her deep feelings for him when his kiss claims her soul. But how deep do Draco's feelings run? There is no reassurance for Ginny when she sees him run with no hesitation. On Draco's part, his head is too filled with confusion to really consider anything but escape. But the discovery of a dead body leads him to questions he'd never considered before.

When Lupin discovers Elizabeth's treachery, nothing will stop him from pursuing her, and the Trio are right behind him. It's a ride on stolen broomsticks that they won't soon forget. Meanwhile Draco discovers Miss Morgan's secret after his failed escape attempt. When a certain black dog appears on the scene, will things get worse for the young Malfoy?

Draco's been seriously injured, and the chances for escape are dwindling. Yet Ginny feels only the pain of Draco turning his back on her, and her anger is great. But it turns out to be nothing when compared to a Slytherin's wrath. It's hell when you're in love with the enemy!

Pansy makes an appearance as she struggles to make sense of the apparent disappearance of her former suitor. Her anger is as wild as it is confused, and she finds no solace in ordering her minions around or screaming herself hoarse at her enemies. Will she be able to come to terms with Draco's defection? Meanwhile, Sirius has swooped in, unaware of the Trio and Snape closing in. How much will he reveal of what he knows? And will Draco stop having lurid thoughts about Ginny long enough to concentrate on escape? YEAH BABY!

The long night continues, and Ginny finds that waiting is insufferable. But will her idea for escape backfire? Worse, have they waited too long? Meanwhile, Draco and Sirius have learned more than they bargained for when the spy reveals all. Trust being an ever thin issue, Draco finds that it can still be had from your worst enemies. Or their godfathers.
