Author's Note:
I had fun writing this. Oh, and in case you didn’t realize it (I imagine it wasn’t too clear), the first bit is while they’re in the common room before heading down to the Great Hall. Just thought to drop that in. Enjoy! And review, I want to know what you all thought!

"Never were one for picking out clothes, were you, Parkinson?"

"I'll have you know the robes I picked out ended up being far too large. I had to have Mum ship me over some new ones. Besides, you can't quite say yours are any better."

"Well, at least I've got a good excuse."

"Oh? Let's hear it."

"I sent a servant to pick it out. I was in a rush, you see."

"That's got to be the worst excuse I've heard. Ever."

"To hell with excuses."

"What's this? Draco Malfoy, actually admitting a fault?"

"Not on your life."

"My life isn't so precious."

"To some."

"Oh? Name one."

"Me."

"Liar."

"Would I lie to you?"

"Yes."

"That's a lie."

"I wouldn't lie to you. You're the one with faults, remember?"

"You would too lie to me."

"That's a lie."

-

"I don't know what I'm doing here anyway."

"Perhaps you shouldn't have come, then."

"Parkinson, I had to make an appearance."

"Name one good reason."

"A Yule Ball is important. If someone doesn't see me there, they'll think I couldn't get a date."

"But you almost couldn't, Malfoy."

"That was because I thought you were going with Zabini."

"And what have I told you about making assumptions?"

"Nothing."

"Oh, well, don't make assumptions."

"Got it."

-

"Once you're through gaping, I'll ask for some punch."

"Excuse me, Pansy, but I'm not gaping."

"Oh right, just lost in space, whilst your eyes happened to land in Fleur Delacour's general direction."

"I'm not looking at her. She's not even fully human."

"And you've never had a problem with that before."

"What're you saying?"

"Well, I am a dog."

"Pansy, that was first year. I didn't mean it."

"Sure. And everyone's just kidding when they said Potter was actually brave."

"Cut off the sarcasm, Pansy."

"As you wish, Malfoy. Now, about that punch?"

-

"Gaping again, are we?"

"No."

"That's a lie."

"Now, now Pansy, jealous?"

"Jealous of the part-human?"

"You're hopeless."

"Yes well, I try."

"Want to dance?"

"Only if you can actually pay attention, Malfoy."

"As you wish, Parkinson."

-

"And how was your summer, Pansy?"

"You should know. Half of it, you were at the Manor, and the other half, I was at yours."

"No really, what'd you think of summer?"

"It was unpleasant."

"I hope that's not an insult."

"Just add it to your list of hopes and dreams, Draco."

"I don't have a list."

"Oh yes, you're journal."

"It's not a journal."

"Right, just a book with a bunch of your thoughts written down, all dated at the top."

"Again, I say you're hopeless."

"Only because I haven't got a journal."

"Shut it."

"Since you've been dying for me to ask, how was your summer?"

"As unpleasant as yours, surely. I had a chat with my Mum."

"Civilized, too? Didn't call her a cow this time?"

"Pansy, I didn't mean that."

"And I bet you didn't want her to seriously diet for two years either."

"She was getting pudgy."

"So you say."

"Anyway, Mum says I ought to have found myself a wife, so I can be married seventh year."

"Best make sure she's fully human."

"Anyway, Mum mentioned you."

"Oh, did she? I'm stunned."

"Stop being sarcastic, already."

"Right, my sincerest apologies, Draco."

"So?"

"So, what?"

"Will you marry me then?"

"Oh, now you ask! As you wish, Draco."

"I'll add it to my journal."

"You do that."
