Call me Danni.

I met Remus Lupin over the summer. He was so upset about the Potters; my heart broke for him. I met James and Sirius, too, since James lived with Sirius, now, and the Blacks had to go away for most of the summer. They were really upset in the beginning, especially since they would usually be at the Potter's, instead of the Lupin's, but they slowly became themselves as the summer progressed. My friends, Lily, Angela, and her identical twin, Lorelei, came over. I have a twin, too, Brian. Brian was a lot like the Marauders, and they got along really well. Lily was Muggle-born, Angela and Lorelei were purebloods, and me and Bri were halfsies. I don't care about that stuff, ya know, bloodline; think it's a load of bullshit (I curse a lot), I'm just saying so this'll make sense later in the story. .

So, it was the last night before school was supposed to start again, and everybody, that's Remus, James, Sirius, Bri, Angela, Lorelei, Lily, and me (eight of us) were all at our house, watching Scream. (I know it isn't out yet, but let's ignore the gaping plot holes, I don't know my 70's movies.) So, anyways, it was your average night, well as average as you get when you're with the Marauders. Thinking back now, that whole nickname thing is kinda annoying.... Some would say wannabe tough. Like they're too cool for their normal names. How normal are the names Remus and Sirius anyways? I've never heard of them. *Honestly! Guys!* But I love 'em anyways.

Especially one named Remus Lupin in particular.

******Lorelei******

Well, I am in just a real good mood. . The evening started out normally, OR AS NORMAL AS YOU CAN GET WITH THE MARAUDERS. Me and Brian, looking perfect, Danni and Remus, looking perfect, you and Sirius, looking perfect, Lily and James-OFF SNOGGING SOMWHERE, NO DOUBT. Well they came back, looking perfect, before the movie started. Psycho is such a good movie, because I got scared. I am not a scary movie person. And after the shower scene, I passed out. When I awoke, some ten minutes later, I was in Brian's arms. (YAY!) He was so freaked out, I could not stop laughing.

Lorelei passed out. I freaked out. I was so scared; I just grabbed her and held her until she woke up, like ten minutes later. She started laughing, for some stange reason. Well, I had to stop her some how. So.... I kissed her.

He KISSED me! If this is Heaven, shoot me now.

God DAMN it!

I'm a freaking werewolf! I shouldn't be scared of some chick... But I am. This sucks.

"Knock- knock"

Oh shit! The root of my terror, in the flesh.

"Come in," I call.

"Um, Remus?" she asks.

"Yeah?" I say.

"Do you like anyone in our group more than a friend?" she asks.

What do I say? "Uh.... No," I say.

"Oh," she walks away, very quickly.

What did I just do?

"What the *hell* did you just do?" Lily screams.

I tell her.

"You *IDIOT!* she yells.

"You don't have to rub it in," I mumble.

"Yes, I do. You are a class five asshole."

I'm in trouble. Lily actually uses classes, and class five is bad. Real bad.

"Right now, Danni is crying her heart over you, because she says you don't like her. I know that is a lie and if she doesn't know that you lied to her today, I will hurt you."

She's not exaggerating.

So, I walk into Danni, Lily, Angela, and Lorelei's room. Unsurprisingly, Danni is alone. She hates letting people know what she is feeling, she gets that from Brian. She isn't crying, though, but I can tell she was before.

"Hey," Danni stiffens when she hears my voice. "Are you OK?"

She starts to cry again. I can't stand to see a girl cry. However, I don't really know what to so in this situation, so I do the first thing I think of. I hug her.

"How can you hug a girl you like only as a friend?" I'm surprised to hear bitterness in her voice.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"You know," she says.

I can be really thick sometimes. I stand there for a minute before I get it.

"Danni, I think I know why you're so mad at me," I say. "Look, the only reason I said that liking thing was because I didn't know you liked me."

"Really?" she askes.

I smile and kiss her.

"Really really."
