HER KİND

I have gone out, a possessed witch,

Haunting the black air braver at night;

Dreaming evil, I have done my hitch

Over the plain houses, light by light:

Lonely thing, twelve fingered, out of my mind.

A woman like that is not a woman, quite.

I have been her kind.

I have found the warm caves in the woods,

Filled them with skillets, carvings, shelves,

Closets, silks, innumerable goods;

Fixed the suppers for the worms and the elves:

Whining, rearranging the disaligned.

A woman like that is misunderstood.

I have been her kind.

I have ridden in your cart, driver,

Waved my nude arms at villages going by,

Learning the last bright routes,survivor

Where your flames still bite my thigh

And my ribs crack where your wheels wind.

A woman like that is not ashamed to die.

I have been her kind.

Chapter 1: HER KİND

Donnamira Fraudamen was a sixth year Ravenclaw student. She had just got out from potions class, where she thought she had learned something about mixing asphodel leaves with alligator eye liquid.

"Yuck," she shievered. Normally, she kind of enjoyed potions, but today she felt dizzy. She had a headache.

I think It will turn into a heavy migrain, she thought. It seemed like her head was occupied with heavy grey rain clouds. She walked away from the dungeons and nearly collapsed onto one of the benches near the huge windows. She stared at the view with misty eyes. It was a rainy day.

" Everyting seems grey ..." she mumbled to herself and sighed. "God her head, she wanted someone to chop her hea.."

"Is everything all right?" a live, friendly voice asked.

At these times, even a voice as friendly as this sounds like a scratch on a blackboard to her. She crumpled her face.

A guillotine to chop my head off,yes It will suit... she thought . She turned her head slightly to the one who was speaking to her. It was William O'Hara; a sixth year, docile Ravenclaw student with a georgeous smile and shiny chocolate brown eyes.

"Yeah,I'm fine," she replied in a reckless tone.

Donnamira was not much of a talker. Even at the times she felt healthier and happier, she prefered silence. She liked to sit in the cosy, sophisticated atmosphere of the Ravenclaw Common Room, silent, staring into space, thinking. William already knew her, but when she spoke she had an amazing affect on people. Her voice was well toned and her pronounciation was so crystal that no matter what she said, everybody payed attention (even if it was about the century long debate on whether Snape's hair was a wig or not.)

"Are you sure?" William asked in a more serious tone while he took his bag off to sit near her.

"Yeah, fine...Just another migrain attack on another depressing day."

"Well, well..Somebody is in the blue mood again, behold, here comes the queen of pessimism," he said in a joking manner.

Donnamira laughed. William stared in her dark blue eyes. Her pitch black hair was in a contrast with her pale face and for some reason it seemed whiter than usual. William gave her a concerned look and opened his mouth to ask another question when he noticed that she was staring at an image behind him with dark looks. When he turned back, he saw Harry Potter and his gang. They are coming towards them, walking, chit-chatting, laughing... Hermione Granger saw Donnamira and waved at her.

"Hi, 'Amira, what's up?"

"Fine,..."

"Umm," Hermione hesitated a little, "Can we meet later in the library? I know that your charms are perfect and I missed last lesson on transparenting objects."

"Sure," she said with a bored expression.

"Ok then, thanks, see you later."

Donnamira nodded.

Hermione told Ron and Harry, " I like her, she's a smart girl."

Ron, with eyes wide open, said, " Honestly, Hermione,I'll kill myself if you ever like a person for something other than their intellect. "

Hermione was just about to give him an answer with a sharp, rather angry glare in her eyes but Harry interrupted in a low voice, "She's interesting, not much of a talker, though, mysterious."

"Huh?" Ron shook his shoulders. "Mysterious in a reclusive and depressed kind of way, not for me,no thanks."

"No offense, Ron but who said she wants you." Hermione, finally giving Ron his answer, laughed at her own statement with a victorious sparkle in her eyes. Harry burst into laughing and Ron, as usual, blushed.

Donnamira played with her fingers and started swinging her knee briskly. Something got on her nerves.

"It seems like you're not very fond of them, don't you?" William asked and scanned her face involuntarily. For a moment he could almost see yearning and anger in her eyes, but it was just for a moment, then she smiled sofly.

"Not very, yeah, but I don't mind. All that HARRY THE LAST HERO stuff is crap. I find them a little childish and that's all. Herm is ok, a little boring sometimes, but ok. She's a clever girl."

William watched her in bewilderment. " I had no idea that you thought this way..."

She responded with a snobbish tone in her voice, " Well, I believe you had some idea, otherwise you would never asked me."

She stood up and got her books. "See you later in the common room, Will,"

William watched her restlessly as she slowly walked towards to the library.

On her way to the library, Donnamira saw an unusual crowd, she stepped closer to it. Everyone was whispering, gossiping about something. A bunch of Slytherin girls were talking excitedly, "Wow, Potter is teased!" A taller Slytherin girl was reporting the news, trying to see the quarrel in the center of the crowd. " Potter is so angry, girls, believe me, ladies, anger looks good on him... Oh my gosh! Draco took out his wand!"

Hearing the last comment, Pansy Parkinson jumped up and yelled, "Payback time, Potter. Go, go ruin him, my platinum-haired boy!"

Oh! That little Pansy the Pig face goes pathetic again, thought Donnamira. She truely hated Pansy Parkinson.

Donnamira pushed the Slytherin girls and walked near the center, Harry and Draco....Of coarse, she thought with an unstoppable grin on her face. She always enjoy watching Malfoy-Potter duels. She liked the way they teased eachother with extreme ironies and such rivalry that even she, herself felt the boiling feeling in her blood. She always liked heavy, dark ironic words and symbols. She began loving them when she first red Sheakespeare. What a talented genious wizard and what a pity that the muggles thought that he was one of them. He was pure blood, for god's sake. In the meanwhile, the duel between the two rivals grew intense.

Draco in a bored tone, "Oh, cut it out, Potter the Hero of the Cliche. I don't need your divine mercy..."

Cool, Donnamira thought, But he's just playing with the words. I think he's frustrated and maybe a little afraid. She examined the look on Draco's face carefully.

Harry, his face almost in eggplant purple, spat, " Malfoy, stop playing, you knew Hermione injured her arm and you hit her on purpose, you dirty prat."

Ron interrupted, "Kick his so called noble ass, Harry."

Malfoy answered calmly, "I didn't hit her on purpose, Potter. It was Accidental, as I said before. Look, Mr. Drama queen, oooops, sorry, I meant King. Ha ha. I was in a hurry and the damn little girl wasn't even looking at where she was going. Bloody hell, she was reading a book while she was walking, that damn mudblood ..."

Harry almost punched him. " Don't you dare to call her that, you evil eyed dandy!"

Ron shouted, "Your Malfoy pureblood stinks like a sewer so that I can smell it over a mile away! "

Draco's eyes widened with hatred. Donnamira backed off because she sensed that things would get harsher from then on. She murmered to herself, "Well, well, well, action time, the ground is on fire..."

Things happened so quickly that people had a hard time understanding what they were seeing.

Draco shouted, "Profectus Gravis!"

And, suddenly, Ron started to move in slow-motion, no matter how hard he tried. Slytherins burst into a loud laugh. Harry got so angry he spat, "Tarantallegra!"

Draco's feet started tap dancing, but Draco shooked his head unpleasently. "Ohh, Potter, you haven't improved your skills a bit. Another cliche spell from you, you are so typical." Draco counterspelled it and shouted, "Soffocatum"

Suddenly, Harry felt his lungs shrinking, he could not breathe anymore. His eyes opened wide. Everyone panicked, but Draco had a reckless grin on his face. "Suffer bastard," he whispered.

Suddenly Donnamira understood, He's suffocating, my god, it's dark craft, she thought. Now, she panicked. I need Potter. She blushed at the thought, He's my one way ticket to the most important treasure, my past. I need him,he's the key.

She hesitated a little, trying to guess the forthcoming events that would happen after she did the things she intended to do in a few minutes. She took a deep breath, calmed herself down, and took her dragon heart string, ebony wand and said, "Respiratum."

Harry gave out such a long cry like a baby's first breath. Oxygen burned his lungs. Finally he was able to breathe again.

Draco could not understand what had hapened, and he was about to do another spell, but Donnamira yelled again, " Finite Incantatem."

A dead silence fall into the crowd. Everybody stared at Donnamira. She pulled herself back and opened her mouth to make an explanation, but suddenly an angry, authoritive voice was heard.

"What's happening here? Oh no, not a duel again. Mr Potter? Mr Malfoy?"

Draco smirked, " No, Professor McGonagall, we were just practicing."

Harry did not say anything and Professor McGonagall threw an If only I got to you a few minutes before... kind of look and faced the crowd.

"Students, show is over. Please go to your classes and have some manners, you are Hogwarts students, for god's sake!"

Everyone turned around and started to gossip, commenting about the events on the way to their classes.

Draco Malfoy turned back and Donnamira immediately headed towards him. She tapped on his shoulder lightly. He turned his head with a fierce expression on his face. "Oh," he said, bewildered and with a questioning look on his face. "I thought you were that red haired peasent like.."

"Ron Weasley?" she asked after pausing for a moment.

"Yeah," replied Draco. Now he was throwing an appraising glance at her, but it only took a moment, then he grinned and in a mocking tone,"So I guess you are one of the Potter devoted HAREM girls. "

"Nonsense," she replied in a calm, icy, but a little irritated tone.

Draco gave her an amused look. Normally, he was expecting a giggle, an "Oh, No, I just..." sentence, or a pinky blush on the cheeks, but no,Donnamira's sharp, one word answer touched him somehow.

Draco asked," Than why did you help him?"

Donnamira answered,"Because you had gone too far. It was dark craft that you did there, don't think I and others didn't notice it."

Draco replied her in a bored tone, " So, again I come to the conclusion that you are protecting him. "

"In a way, yeah..."

"OH! So now you are going to admit that you are a hopeless, platonic, having a hard time coping with your mask of - hey, I am cool, I don't show my feelings - type of girl."

"Draco...do you know what your problem is? You need to listen others a bit and you could use a little more emphaty, but you are so in love with your sharp tongue that you lose the main point."

"Bloody hell. I don't need a psychological analysis from a so- called smart ass Rawenclaw creep."

Donnamira answered in a very low voice, so low, that it almost sounded like a hiss. Draco shievered. With her sharp voiced words, she said, "Everything has it's own time to appear, Draco. What you just did there was impressive, but the last thing you did was pointless, now everybody will get suspicious no matter what you do because they know that you are able to use dark magic, and if you get trapped, you give them a great big tramp."

Draco's eyes widened, he tried to talk, but he just stammered and she cut him off, "Meet me in the dungeons at 10:30."

"Why should I?"

But, once more, Donnamira cut him off, "Because bad things are going to happen, and you don't want to be blamed by all of them alone, do you?" she grinned. " Don't panic, Draco, no we don't want that, do we? I know you want Potter to suffer, plus, I'm offering my friendship to you." She smiled a lovely smile after she said this and she held out her hand to him. "Remember,a Fraudamen's friendship is always an honour, exactly like a Malfoy's."

She heard the gossips about the first year, how Draco offered his friendship and how Harry insulted him by refusing it. Malfoy was touched. He had had no idea about Donnamira from Ravenclaw before. He had only heard her name once in a while. "A speech she made" or, " a problem she solved". Typical Ravenclaw, he thought, but her last words definitely touched his heart and, no, Draco was not stupid, he saw the irony in her offer. An honour to be Fraudamen's friend like Malfoy's... hah, cleve... Draco smiled. He saw the danger, this could be a trap for him, set by Gryffindors. Gryffindors and Ravenclaw were fond of each other, but her sharp icy words, quick thinking impressed him. Above all, Potter, yeah ruining Potter's life, such a holy goal for life... he grinned. He sensed the danger, but he would go for it. After all, he was sick of brainless Grabbe and Goyle. He yearned for another fellow with some brains and, besides, she was blackmailing him slightly. The idea of a quite beautiful girl blackmailing him....Yeah, this gave Draco a strange pleasure.

He looked over her face again. She bent down her head a little, her rose-pink lips were slightly open and her dark blue eyes had so many different shades that if you looked directly into them you felt hypnotized. Yes, she was beautiful in her own way.

"Bloody hell," he cursed " As you say so, my fair lady...Honour me." They smiled at each other and shook hands.
