The sequel to Intervention Upon a String. To keep Angelina safe, Marcus must now conquer his fears and take on a new monster: his father.

Marcus swallows his pride and goes to Angelina for help.

Marcus deals with his father's demands and is forced to meet the other Death Eaters in a secret underground base. Meanwhile, Oliver becomes extremely protective over a certain 'priority'.

Angelina becomes concerned and goes to Marcus's flat to find him and bumps into her 'biggest fan' instead. Meanwhile, Marcus learns of his father's plans and manages to escape due to the aid of a beggar lady who has shocking news for him as well.

Victoria obeys Marcus's commands and contacts Oliver Wood to check on Angelina. However, it's not enough to put Marcus at ease. He visits her at her pitch and, unfortunately, so does William.

Marcus's noble efforts dont go exactly as planned and he's forced to put Angelina into hiding with him. Meanwhile, Oliver and Katie are dealing with their own petty issues when they stumble upon a horrific scene at the Falmouth Falcons pitch.

Marcus, Angelina, Oliver, and Katie run away and regroup in the abandoned underground. From there, Victoria leads them to a secret cabin in the woods; unplottable to strangers. It's there that Marcus and Angelina take their relationship to the next step...

Marcus and Angelina are left alone in peace for the night. Meanwhile, Oliver demands that Katie stay at his flat until all the dangers clear. However, danger is closer than he thinks...

Katie and Oliver return to the cabin and they stay there for the remainder of the day to plan out their next move. However, it merely turns into naptime and Katie has a threatening heart to heart with Marcus.

Oliver and Katie return home to gather food. However, someone is waiting for them there. Meanwhile, Victoria goes to the cabin to deliver supplies and reveals to Angelina that she's in great danger. But the warning comes too late...

Marcus and Oliver to the rescue. Angelina and Katie are being held captive by William as bait to lure Marcus back into the Death Eater lair.

Marcus confronts his father for the last time.
