Dear Ginny

I hear you calling my name. It is soft. Almost like a whisper. "Harry." it is like the rustling of trees in the breeze. It is always there but you never take any notice of it. You take it for granted.

I call your name loudly. "Ginny? Ginny, where are you?"

Then out if the darkness, I slowly see you. Your slender figure emerges and blushes deeply when you see me with your red hair flowing in the wind. You walk up to me and hug me your warm hands healing my bruised skin. Then you put one hand on my face and lean in for a kiss. I lean forward to. We kiss and the whole of my dream explodes and I see darkness no longer. I now can see heaven, earth and all that's in between all at once.

Then I wake up.

My heart hurts. I miss you deeply, Ginny. I want you by my side but, I also want you as far away from me as possible. I look at my surroundings. It is no longer the place of my dreams. Where you and me are in a close embrace and all the world loves to see us together.

But I am in a small cave, which Hermione, Ron and I found last night. We are camping here to avoid the rain. Hermione is snuggled next to Ron. We gave her the cover tonight for she was sick in the morning. I'm glad my friends are here. But when I see Ron and Hermione together, laughing and hugging I feel a tug or emptiness at my heart. I love you Ginny. I love you so much that I have sacrificed being with you just to keep you safe.

You know that, don't you?

I love you so much Ginny but I want you to stay out of trouble. Stay at home with your mum and dad, Bill and Fleur. I hope you are okay. I will never know until see you again.

I'm scared Ginny. I'm scared I might lose you. I'm scared I might not see you again. I'm scared that something will happen to Ron and Hermione. Why am I so scared of all those things but when I think about the battle I am to have with Voldemort I feel...calm.

I can't tell you what we're doing but it has something to do with Voldemort. If I tell you they could use it against you.

The sun is rising and Ron and Hermione are starting to stir. I don't want them to know I'm sending this letter. I need to keep something private from them.

I love you from now to forever.

P.S. I hope that everyone is okay and that the wizarding world still thinks that Hermione, Ron and I are dead. It is important they don't know until the last minute.

I throw the letter to one side and put my head on my pillow. It was three months since Harry wrote the letter but I had just received it from a very ruffled owl. I wonder what has happened to him.
