Author's Note:
My first real attempt at a song fic...I love the song, love Barry Manilow, love Harry Potter...figured, why not...let's roll em all into one!!

"Harry do I look alright?" Hermione asked nervously, glancing in the mirror for the millionth time that evening.

"You look beautiful, love...now let's get going. I can't wait to see everyone again," Harry smiled, wrapping an arm around her waist.

Harry and Hermione had been married for five blissful years and lived in a small apartment in Muggle London. The event the couple was on their way to was their ten-year Hogwarts reunion.

"You sure I look okay?" she continued.

"Hermione, you're lovely...what's the big deal? It's just Hogwarts, all of our old classmates...who're you trying to impress?" he laughed.

"Blaise, let's go!!" Ron called to his girlfriend impatiently.

"I'm coming, Ron...for Merlin's sake..." Blaise Zabini replied with an exasperated sigh. "I don't know what you're getting so upset about..."

"I just wanna go. I haven't seen anyone in a long time...I'm excited. Are you ready?"

"Yes, I'm ready."

The Great Hall was decorated just as it was when they'd all gone to school there, only the long House tables were removed and small round ones were in their place.

"So many memories, here," Hermione whispered, looking around at everyone, taking the whole scene here. 'Not all memories are one's I want to remember...' she added silently.

"Look, who's here!" Harry grinned suddenly and waved.

Ron Weasley and an attractive blonde came strolling over, both smiling broadly.

"Harry, ol pal!" Ron shook his old friend's hand. "This is my fiancee, Blaise."

"Nice to meet you," Harry smiled at her.

"Hello, Ron," Hermione smiled softly.

Ron felt his breath catch in his throat. He hadn't expected her to speak to him so openly. "Hermione...you haven't changed a bit...."

There you are, looking just the same as you did last time I touched you...

She looked incredible in his eyes. It was the first time he'd seen her since she'd left in the middle of the night a week after their graduation. They'd been together for almost three years when she left. And now, after all this time...

And here I am, close to getting tangled up inside the thought of you...

"How long have you and Blaise been together?" Hermione asked with a smile.

"About a year," Blaise repled smiling back.

"And you and Harry? You two are going on how long now?" Ron countered.

"Five, almost six years," Harry beamed, wrapping his arm around his wife's waist.

Do you love him, as much as I love her...

"You guys are a perfect couple...you seem so happy," Blaise gushed. "But, could you excuse me, I need to go and find a few people..."

"Yeah, you two talk, I'm gonna go and see some old friends," Harry smiled, then he and Blaise walked away, chatting amiably.

"So..."

"So..."

"How've you been?" Hermione asked uncomfortably.

"Fantastic, and you?" Ron answered.

"Never better."

"You do look amazing..."

"Thank you...you look good yourself..."

"I've missed you..."

And will that love be strong, when old feelings start to stir...

"Oh, Ron, I've missed you too...we should've stayed friends after everything..." Hermione sighed sadly

"Yeah...I mean, we're both adults...we've grown up and gotten past...us," Ron nodded.

Looks like we made it, Left each other the way to another love...

"Exactly...I mean...it's been almost ten years..." Hermione reasoned.

"I really loved you...I don't know why you left."

"I really loved you too..."

Looks like we made it, Or I'd thought so till today until you were there, everywhere, and all I could taste was love way we made it...

"Let's go outside...walk by the lake..." Ron suggested.

Hermione nodded in agreement.

The two walked in silence out of the castle. They both felt like children again. It was as if their Hogwarts years came rushing back, and all of the strange emotions and needs came with it.

Love's so strange, playing hide and seek with hearts and always hurting. And we're the fools, standing close enough to touch those burning memories...

"Can I hug you?" she asked suddenly.

"Do you want to?"

"Desperately..."

And if I hold you, for the sake of all those times, love made us lose our minds, could I ever let you go...

He put his arms around her and held her close to him. Ron never felt as complete as he did when she was in his arms. Hermione never felt as safe as when he was near her. The thoughts she were having were dangerous, ridiculous and out of the question. Thoughts of her and Ron, together again. She pulled away from him quickly.

"How did you meet Blaise?" she asked, regaining composure.

"She was in our year...the Slytherin turned good....then we met at work. She's a reporter for the Daily Prophet sports section, and she interviewed me after a Quidditch match...I asked her out...the rest is history," he shrugged.

"Blaise Zabini...I thought the name was familiar. She's a lovely girl, Ron, really."

"Yeah...I'm crazy about her..."

Oh no we made it, Left each other on the way to another love. Looks like we made it...

"Glad to hear it...I'm crazy about Harry."

"But I'm more crazy about you...I'd give her up in a second if you ever came back," Ron confessed suddenly.

"You're talking crazy, Ron...what brought this on?" she asked, stepping back away from him.

"You...being near you again. You're very presence drives me mad...Hermione I love you...And maybe it's just being back at school, being around all the memories, but all I can think of is you and me and how I've never found love with anyone like I found love with you."

Or I'd thought so till today, until you were there, everywhere, and all I could taste was love the way we'd made it...

"I have to go..." she looked at him sadly, then turned and left him by the lake, walking out of his life for a second and final time.
