Chapter 2: Confused Thoughts and Potions.
Elanoir was crying near the lake. Her eyes looked like rubies and her tears were running silently from her cheeks. She was thinking about the night and Sirius Black of course...
"What have I done?" she said silently. "How can I look to Rachel's face and Sirius'? I can't! Not after I said I love him..."
She sobbed again and bent her head. It was chilly since it was late. She felt bad. She really felt bad. At that time those words sounded perfect, but now things were clearer and she didn't know how to act or what to do next morning.
"I share my dorm with Rachel..." she said to herself."What will happen now? What am I going to do? Oh Merlin! I wish I didn't say those words to both of them."
She sobbed again and let tears ran freely. There was a pause before she started to speak again.
"I love him..." she said almost like a whisper."I love him since the first time I saw him. How am I supposed to hide this for 5 years and a half?"
She remembered the first time she saw her. She was a first year and very nervous. She was shaking with fear and waiting for her turn to be sorted. Nobody told her about the Sorting Hat and she was looking at it as if it was going to bite her or something. And her name was announced at last: "Felis, Elanoir!" She saw him just before the hat was put on her head. He was sitting with three other boys and smiling. He was like a diamond shining among all those students. After a few seconds the Sorting Hat shouted: "Ravenclaw!" For the first time in her life, she was sorry for being smart...
She looked at him one more time as she walked to her house table with cheers from the Ravenclaw table. She watched him along the fest and he talked to his three friends till he left the fest, never looked at her even for once... She watched him, but he was always with others and never looked at her.
She worked hard. She was coming from a pureblood family so she was used to magic and already knew 1st year spells and potions and of course as she read a lot of books she learned history of magic. She passed all her exams with top grades and worked on 2nd year courses. It was semester holiday (on her first year) she convinced all the professors and the Headmaster to move to 2nd year. It was something "new" in Hogwarts history. It was the first time a student was skipping a semester and moving to a higher year. It was legal but nobody tried this as it was very difficult. She worked even harder to adapt herself to 2nd year courses and surprisingly she succeeded! Her parents thought that's why she was sorted into Ravenclaw. She was happy... She was on same year with him and could see him while Ravenclaw and Gryffindor were on same courses. But he wasn't paying attention to her again... Nevertheless, she was happy. Just being with him in the same classroom was enough for her at that time. But years passed and it started to be painful for her.
She and Rachel met on her 3rd year and they had been staying in the same dormitory since then. She knew Rachel liked Sirius for years and she couldn't admit her love for Sirius. Never... It was like torture when she learned Rachel would date with Sirius at last and she was nearly getting a heart attack when Rachel asked her to test Sirius if he was faithful or not. She was afraid of jumping to his arms when she stood near him for a few minutes. That was the reason why she dated with Thomas although she knew he loved some other girl. And after all those things, she ruined all those year for nothing but trouble. She felt as if her life was upside-down now.
"I can't believe I destroyed my life! How can I even breathe since then? Oh, Rachel! Please forgive me. But if you only knew those feelings of mine... No! It's better for you not to know. And Sirius of course...
"What's about me?" a voice asked from behind in a low voice. She jumped immediately from her place.
"What?" she said and turned back to face with a staring Sirius Black. "When did you come here? I didn't hear you. You scared me!"
Sirius smiled and stood where he was. "Calm down," he said. "Sorry, I scared you, I know."
She was embarrassed when she realized it was Sirius, the man she loved for years. And after that night... "Oh Merlin, please help me," she prayed inside.
"Are you ok?" Sirius asked still standing there motionless.
"Yes, thank you."
"Good," he said and there was a pause.
"Sorry," she said breaking the silence, "for all I had done. I didn't mean to."
"I don't want to talk about this now," Sirius said. "I even don't know why I am here."
She looked at his face and quickly turned her head when their eyes met.
"Sirius!" suddenly a voice shouted.
Both Sirius and Elanoir turned to see who was shouting.
"Sirius!" James shouted again while he reached them.
"Pron, er, James, what's going on mate?" Sirius asked.
"Hi Elanoir," James said. "Sirius you must come with me!"
"Why? Hey wait, you two know each other?"
"Of course we do. She helped me a lot about Lily. Don't you remember?"
"No. It's weird..."
"Anyway, come with me!"
"Why, James? What happened?"
"Lily," he said softly with puppy dog eyes.
"Another fight?" Sirius asked.
"Yes. Come?
"Oh God! Let's go. But if she kills me you're responsible for this!"
Elanoir was just staring at those two. She was glad James came because she didn't know what to say to Sirius.
"Sorry, we will talk later I guess. I must go now," Sirius said. "See you later Elanoir."
"Yes. See you later Elanoir. Sorry about this."
"Yes," was all she said and Sirius and James were already running to castle.
She sat to a rock and watched the waves of the lake resulted by wind with a lot of thoughts on her mind. It was very late when she returned to common room of Ravenclaw. She couldn't find the courage to sleep in her dorm, so she felt asleep in the common room in front of the fire place.

"So what's really going on mate?" Sirius asked to James with a suspicious look.
"It was so obvious ha?"
"No. It's just I know you a "lot"," Sirius said smiling.
"Well, Lily came to me half an hour ago and told me that she talked to Rachel. Rachel told her everything, so Lily to me. But it was true she is mad. Not at me, but at you... so what's going on Padfoot? I can understand in last 6 months you changed your girlfriends a lot. I remember when you told us that you enjoy having girls' attention but don't you have a mind? Why did you do this to Rachel? You know she's friends of Lily and Lily arranged this because Rachel likes you for a long time. Now Lily will accuse you of this and be afraid of her anger!" James said quickly.
"Yeah, I know Prongs..."
"So?"
"What so?"
"Why did you do this and why were you with her but not with Rachel?"
"I guess Rachel didn't told you she wanted Elanoir to be a spy for her to test me"
"Test you?" asked James surprised.
"Yes," Sirius said standing still.
"Why?"
"I guess she didn't trust me. You see why I change my girlfriends so frequently? They don't trust me. They keep saying I'm the hottest boy or whatever but always suspicious about me. Tonight was not so much different. I faced something like that a couple of times..." he said and started to walk.
"Hey wait Padfoot! Where are you going?" James asked while he started to walk quickly to reach his best friend.
"I don't want to talk about it. Not anymore. I don't care about Rachel. She wanted all this."
"What about Elanoir?"
"You'll see..."
"What?" James asked surprised. "Won't you tell me?"
"Not now, Prongs. I need to think," Sirius said and walked away.
"I don't like this..." James said to himself.

It was morning and Elanoir was famished. She didn't know what to do still but had to go to Great Hall to have her breakfast. She got up from ground and went to her dorm hoping Rachel had already left the dorm for breakfast. As she hoped, the room was empty. She took a quick shower and changed to her uniform then went to the breakfast. When she entered to Great Hall, most of the girls from Ravenclaw table turned their heads to see her.
"It is embarrassing," she thought.
She sat to a seat which was on the opposite of the table, away from Rachel. Most of her friends didn't even say "hello" or "good morning" to her. It was uncomfortable but she didn't care. It was better if they didn't talk to her. But it was also a bad situation as now she had no friends left.
She didn't realize when Daisy came and sat beside her.
"Good morning," Daisy said.
"What? Oh, good morning Daisy," she answered looking surprised.
"I heard, well, the things... You know, that happened last night."
"Rachel told everyone ha?"
"Yes," Daisy said and bent her head. "Don't worry. I understand you."
"You do?" asked Elanoir with a shocked look on her face.
"Yes," Daisy said silently. "Promise me you won't go mad. I must tell you something."
"Sure. I'm not in a mood of getting mad," she replied with a sad voice.
"Ok. I wanted you to hear this from me," Daisy sighed. Elanoir looked at her wondering what would come now.
"Well, it was me with Thomas last night," Daisy said and quickly.
There was only silence. Then something strange happened. Elanoir started to laugh. She laughed until she cried.
"What is so funny?" Daisy asked.
"Well, you see, we all betrayed each other," she smiled then continued talking. "Don't worry I'm not mad. I knew Thomas liked you. It was just... I don't know, just a date." There was silence again.
"He's handsome ha?" Daisy asked quietly.
"Who?"
"Sirius Black of course!"
"What? Oh well, yes."
There was silence again. Elanoir raised her head and looked over to Gryffindor table. Sirius was talking to his friends again. She sighed and turned to have her breakfast.
"Don't worry. You know love always hurt," Daisy said while taking some sausages to her plate.
"I know," she said quietly then add, "Thank you for your support Daisy."
"No problem," she said smiling.
After a few minutes she finished her breakfast and hurried to dungeons for Potions. As she stood up Sirius looked at her briefly then stood up and followed her. He told James that he would see them in Potions. He left with quick steps the Great Hall under jealous looks of Rachel.
"Hi beauty," he said.
"Oh, hi honey," Daisy said as she gave a quick kiss on lips to Thomas.
"No problem?" he asked.
"No problem. She's so in love with him that she didn't care," she said smiling.
"Good," Thomas said and kissed her lovingly on the lips.

Sirius followed Elanoir to dungeons. He thought a lot last night after he left James standing in the entrance of the castle. He didn't know what to do either just like Elanoir. He was sick at those untrusting girls. After he heard Elanoir talking to herself last night, he was confused. He went after her because he felt he had to do it. But after all he heard it was hard to think. He couldn't believe she studied a lot just to be in same year with him. And he also couldn't understand why he didn't recognize her during all those years. Maybe he was busy with pranks. He wasn't in love with her of course but he was impressed with her. She was beautiful but he was sure she wasn't before. Otherwise he would recognize her. "Confusing," he told to himself while he reached her.
"Hey, Elanoir!" he called her.
"Sirius?" she asked looking confused.
"How are you?" he asked looking into her eyes but not smiling.
"Not bad, you?"
"Yeah, ok."
She looked at him for a few seconds then turned and walked to the door of the Potions classroom.
"Are you running away from me?" Sirius asked coldly.
She stopped. Holding the handle of the door, she turned her head and said, "Why would I do such a thing?"
"I don't know," Sirius said smirking. "You seem so."
"I don't think we should talk. I don't want anymore trouble. And..." She paused there and took a breath.
"What?"
"And I am sorry. I'm so sorry for what happened last night." She opened the door and walked in.
Sirius also entered the classroom after her and stood in the doorway.
"Don't worry," he said. "I'm used to this."
"Used to what? Betraying? Sorry but I am NOT!" she said. Her cheeks were getting red with anger. "You betrayed and it is ok for you right? And you came after me last night and now. Why? Sorry but I won't be one of your dolls!" She was very angry and heat was coming out of her cheeks.
"No? Well, as far as I remember you were the one who said love words about me. And I would not betray her if you were not there. If I'm wrong correct me please Miss Young, Angry and "Loyal"!"
"Yes it was me who said those things but that doesn't mean I'll jump to your lap!"
"Really? Then what if I kiss you right now?"
"You can't"
"Really? Just wait!" he shouted and grabbed her by waist and kissed her firmly. She was so shocked that she couldn't react.
"See?" Sirius said as he looked at her. He was looking at her as if he would send flames from his eyes. "I thought you didn't want it but I see you can't resist," he added and laughed.
"How dare you?" Elanoir yelled at him while trying to get rid of his hands.
"I don't want you to be my "doll" Elanoir! Don't you worry! But don't say things that you cannot do. Such as resisting me," Sirius said firmly.
"It was just a kiss ok? Don't make such a fuss about it."
Sirius allowed her to go away from him, but kept looking at her. Elanoir sat at her usual seat and tried to avoid looking at him. Sirius also went to his usual seat which is at the very back of the classroom and sat down. He kept looking at her questioningly. After a few minutes, students filled the classroom. It was like a typical Potions class except Rachel sat away from both Sirius and Elanoir.
Professor Angelli entered the classroom and said "Good morning all, ready for another explosion?" Some students giggled as they knew nearly every time an explosion happened in Potions as some new "experiment" were done by James or Sirius or both.
"Today I'll match you with new partners for a project. You'll choose your subject from the options I'll give you in a few moments. Then you'll make a research about your subject and I hope you'll successfully show your results. It's not so hard don't worry. But it will need lots of time," she said smiling. She was a lovely teacher most of the time smiling and funny sometimes. Today she was happy again and walking around the classroom like a butterfly.
James and Sirius giggled from the back of the class.
"I guess she's in love again," James said.
"Yes, I love when she's in love. She is funny whenever she finds a new boyfriend," Sirius said.
"Why don't you two study a bit more but not intervene into teachers' love relations?" Remus added still reading his book.
"You're not funny Moony! Relax a bit," Sirius said.
"Mr. Black would you like to share your conversation with us?" Prof. Angelli asked smiling.
"Er... No. Sorry Professor!"
"Then please be silent."
"Ok... Ok."
She smiled. These four were always successful, especially Remus. Well, not always but Peter also. But they also -especially Sirius and James- ruined lessons. "I guess I must separate them for the project," she thought.
After she matched the students it was not much comfortable for some of the students but some of them were happy about the results. James was matched with Lily -nearly everyone knew how he loved Lily and Professor Angelli thought she would broke his pranks for a while. Remus was matched with Peter -as she thought maybe Remus would help Peter about project more then someone else. And Sirius, the naughtiest one was matched with the most silent and clever girl of the class. With Elanoir... They looked at each other uncomfortably. Rachel was also matched with Frank and Daisy with Alice.
"It's disgusting and incredible!" Rachel told to Ashley while she moved to her new seat.
After everyone moved to their new seats, Professor Angelli started to talk again.
"Ok dears, now you'll see your subject from the parchment on your desks. With a flip of her wand, parchments appeared on every desk.
Elanoir looked at hers and gasped. Sirius looked also and he gasped, too. Only two potions' names were written: "Memory Potions and Love Potion."
Elanoir raised her hand after she went over her first shock.
"Yes, Miss Felis?" Professor asked.
"Professor, there is only two potions names are written."
"Yes, there should be two. What's the problem?"
"But one of them is Memory Potions. There's no effect that is known."
"So choose the other one dear," Professor said.
"But the other one is..." She paused and looked at her parchment.
"The other one is?" Professor asked impatiently.
"Love Potion..." Sirius concluded. Students gasped. Rachel was shocked and raised her hand up.
"Yes, Miss Dolce?"
"Professor isn't love potion is forbidden in Hogwarts?"
"As you're on your 6th year, I took permission from the Headmaster to research it. And it was only on Miss Felis' and Mr. Lupin's lists. They're the only people I can trust in doing this potion without bad "aims"," she said with a look meaning "you know what I mean".
"But Professor, Sirius Black is her partner and you know what will happen," Daisy said with a horrified look on her face.
"You can be right Miss Ruba, but I think Miss Felis can block Mr. Black's bad aims. Can't you Miss Felis?"
"I guess I can," Elanoir said quietly. She was embarrassed because everybody would think that she would use this potion over Sirius for his love. She would never do such a thing.
"Good then. Mr. Lupin, have you decided what potion you will research?" asked Professor Angelli as she turned to face with Remus.
"Yes, Professor. We had the same options and I guess we'll research Memory Potions," Remus said and added proudly, "I think we'll find some results about Memory Potions. I have some ideas."
"Perfect. If there's no question, class is finished. Go and research your potions. I want the results two weeks later."
As the students started to leave the classroom Sirius bent and whispered to Elanoir's ear, "Now you have the chance to be my doll ha?" and left smirking.
"That's just great! He thinks the same with the rest of the crowd..." she thought.
Sirius turned and saw the look in her eyes. He didn't like torturing her but couldn't forgive her, either. Just before Remus pulled him from his robes, he shouted to her, "It was just a joke, don't worry!"
She stood where she was and smiled a little. It was not that bad after all. Sirius could be acceptable sometimes and she was glad he told it was a joke. Then she left for Herbology.
She didn't realize Rachel, who went to library silently. She had plans also...
Author notes: hope you like it. please review. don't tell me Sirius already loves Elanoir, he doesn't.
