"Yes, you go to seats twenty and twenty-five," the flight attendant said, smiling falsely.

"No, no, you don't understand," said James.

"You see--" Lily began, tossing her copper-coloured hair over her shoulder.

"We're supposed to sit together," James finished for her.

"Well, these are the tickets you got, and I'm afraid we have no available seats. Of course, you will end up at the same destination, but I regret to say that we have no extra seats. Unless, of course, you would rather pay to get first class seats," she said, leering at the newlyweds.

They frowned at each other, before James turned back to the woman and growled, "We won't get on this flight unless we have seats beside each other."

"Then I suppose you won't get on this flight at all," she chirped.

Lily and James turned away from her and walked dispiritedly to the flight counter. The young man standing behind desk was hurriedly stacking tickets into a drawer. He looked naïve and out of place, and Lily felt a pang of pity for him as a man--who could only have been his boss--stepped out of the door behind the boy and began barking reprimands at him.

"Thomas! Not again. You bumbling fool! The four-thirty receipts go in the left drawer, and the three-forty receipts are meant to be in the right drawer! How could you do this again?"

"Excuse me, Mister Roberts, I didn't mean to--"

"Didn't mean to?" Mr. Roberts growled. "Just because you didn't intend to do that, means nothing. You shall stay after work today to sort those tickets!"

Lily tapped James on the arm and pointed discreetly at the boy, who was scowling at the bald head of his boss as the man walked away. "Maybe we could ask him for help?"

"Yes, let's try," James agreed. They continued over to the counter.

"Er, hello," began Lily. "You see, they booked our tickets incorrectly and we must sit together. This is our honeymoon," she added, hoping to receive some sympathy from the boy.

He looked up, startled.

"I don't think I could get you any tickets. I might be able to have someone trade seats with you, but, not much else."

"That would be lovely," Lily said. James smiled hopefully at the boy.

"Oh, you mean now," Thomas exclaimed. "Follow me."

The couple shot a look of pure relief at each other and strode after the boy. He led them over to the gate. The flight attendant from before was standing there, hassling another pair of people.

"...but we ordered two seats beside each other!" the man cried accusingly.

"Well, your tickets say twenty-one and twenty-six," she quipped, giving them a sickeningly sweet smile.

"Excuse me," James asked, tapping the man in front of him on the shoulder. He turned around and looked at James.

"Yes? Please tell me you aren't giving me more bad news."

"No, no, I was only wondering if you might like to trade a ticket with me. You see, my wife and I would like to sit beside each other, but we have different tickets."

"Same here," the man's friend said. "We're on our honeymoon, and they gave us different tickets than we ordered!"

"What tickets have you got?" the man asked.

"Twenty and twenty-five," Lily answered.

"Then we'll trade you," the other couple replied immediately. They exchanged quickly. James and Lily got seats twenty-one and twenty.

"There you are," James said gladly, extending their passes to the attendant. She scowled unhappily.

"Fine." She took their passes and let them pass.

"Thanks the gods," Lily muttered. "I thought she would be nasty about it again."

"So did I, but we were lucky. C'mon, let's go fly to Hawaii!"

"Of course," she laughed.

"Look at that sunset," Lily sighed.

"I can't," James replied.

"Why not?" she asked him, turning to look at him. He was staring at her.

"Because I can't stop looking at you."

She giggled and gave him a tender kiss. He wrapped his arms around her and laid his cheek on her head.

They stared at the setting sun for a few minutes, before deciding to take a walk on the beach.

Lily pulled open the back door of their hotel room, which was on the beach itself, overlooking the surf and sand. She waited for James to get dressed. The night breeze was cold on her face. She inhaled its sweet fragrance; it was a mixed scent of tropical flowers and the sea. Lily was caught in a memory of three years ago.

"I hate you!" Lily screamed at him.

"I can't say I blame you," James laughed. "I haven't been roses and chocolate for the past few years, have I?"

"NO!" She turned and began stomping across the lawn of Hogwarts. James ran after her and grabbed her forearm. He pulled her to him and gave her a soft kiss on the lips. She was stunned.

"There. I did it. Are you happy now?" he asked.

Lily didn't answer. She had been waiting for that for over two years.

"Y-you kissed me," she stuttered. "Oh."

"I know," he answered, "it was intentional."

"Lily, honey, come on. You still want to walk?"

"Yeah, yeah," she answered, brought out of her reverie.

"Okay. Let's go." He took her hand and they headed out.

They had walked for about half an hour in silence. Lily had been thinking about the past, and James had been thinking about her. He knew he was lucky to have married such an extraordinary woman. She was an exquisite blossom among all other women, and James was well aware of that. Lily was beautiful, yes. Her copper hair was elegant and fine. Her eyes, a beautiful, sparkling green. And Lily had the perfect, hourglass-shaped figure. She was a heavenly being.

And she was James'.

Lily's thoughts turned to her new husband as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders. He was handsome, yes. Not exactly what one would consider sexy, exactly, but desirable all the same. His hair was messy and raven-feather black. James' eyes were a light azure colour that Lily found entrancing.

"Why do you love me?" she asked him suddenly.

"Oh, there are so many reasons," he replied.

"Tell me some."

"You're bright and charming. You have a delightful sense of humour. Your personality is radiant, just like your eyes. And I love you."

"I suppose that's a good enough answer," she said, nodding.

"So you tell me why you love me."

"You're such a troublemaker," she laughed. "And you have a wicked taste for pranks. Ingenious, almost. You are intelligent, though you could definitely fool someone about that. And I think you're the only man in the world for me."

"That's nice to know," he responded.

And they continued walking leisurely down the beach, illuminated by the light of the full moon as it shone down on them.
